When someone in Congress - especially someone who worked for the postal service - tells you that people are reporting getting their mail only one day a week, that should alarm EVERYONE.
I read today folks in Detroit were getting mail *once per month.*
The bottom line is that the USPS is not operating properly since DeJoy has made these changes and US citizens are being negatively impacted as a result, with obvious soon to be major negative results to the voting system, especially during an out of control pandemic. This man needs to be held accountable and the changes he has made need to be reversed now.

Live animals may be sent express (usually chicks). They have a humane container designed to give them enough sustenance and air for a day or two, what do you suppose happens with his system. An absolute pleasure to watch Dejoy schooled. He spent most of his time with snickering and using up the time of questions he couldn't answer by going off in an entirely different direction. Whereas the sycophantic trumpers wasted by loudly saying what a disgrace, yet another hoax thought up to discredit trump and the fine man before us here working hard under the slander etc thrown at him (they meant Dejoy). There were some fine moments, but they could hardly get an acceptable answer, for as i said he would use up the time given to them by waffling. I cheered loudly at the ladies as they asked him questions that did on occasion make him squirm. He needs to be made to answer in a direct fashion and not knowingly waste time in the hopes of having to tell the truth.

DeJoy and his wife have millions invested in UPS. A little story: I don't mean to bash UPS or its employees. The times are hard with this pandemic. But some weeks ago I ordered a pair of shorts from Amazon. I had some credit to use. They sent my shorts via UPS. It was a nightmare!
Six consecutive days .. each and every day .. I was told by UPS alerts that my package would arrive by 8 or 9 pm. Each day that did not happen. On the 7th day, without warning, I went out the front door and found my package.
I call them multiple times. All robots! DeJoy wants UPS to take over!?!?

Everyone these days is acting upon Cognitive Bias. There are many subsections on cognitive bias. 1) Confirmation Bias: You seek out information that affirms to your view of the world, and ignore the information that undermines your worldview. 2) Concision Bias: only listen and remember short bursts of information and forget the actual analytical information. 3) The Dunning-Kruger Effect: The less knowledgable a person is, the more confident in their opinion and only care about that. 4) Declinism: People believe the "good ole' days" were better but they weren't. 5) Availability cascade: the more an idea circulates and is repeated, the more credible we believe it to be.
I can't tell if you're being nice or taunting me. I just learned this in my Government Honors class, not online. But either way, I appreciate the compliment!
I know all of them get the same 5 minutes in order to get through questioning. However, when you have a Representative that actually has the expertise in the subject at hand as she does, I think she should be given more time to ask questions.
OAN: It has become clear in just about any Committee hearing regardless of subject, that the Republicans aren't actually interested in asking actual questions , but rather waste tax payer dollars criticizing the need of having a hearing at all and creating a partisan circus. They have been trying to privatize USPS for years. Follow the money. The ones that want to privatize have vested financial interest in USPS competitors. However, both Dems and Republicans are to blame for passing a Bill forcing USPS to pre-fund pensions for 75 years which accounts for 90% of why they are in red. The same way Congress caused the decline of USPS, they can save it with more innovation. There is no reason why banking services can't be offered, or voting registration, or a myriad of other Government services. While letter volume has declined, package volume has gone up due to internet shopping. USPS still delivers more packages than FedEx and UPS combined. USPS is a service per our Constitution and doesn't need to make a profit. We should not be privatizing USPS. Vote OUT all that are seeking to do this starting with Trump and his enablers in Congress.

I have the most amazing mail carrier, he is so happy and is always a joy to see. Because of the relationship that we have forged I also know what they’re going through. He will have to do two or three routes a day, not getting home until 10 at night. Management is horrible to these people. I have had 3 people in my family who have also worked or are still working for the USPS and they are not treated well and are working three times as hard to get our mail to us. Hats off to every mail carrier, hard work for no recognition. This man is making it harder for everyone, people aren’t getting their medications on time, bills are being delivered late and the list goes on. This is all just another ploy of smoke and mirrors by the current presidency.
She should in every way ,form and fashion be the postmaster General she knows the business inside and out and has the history and knowledge of just what's going on, the American people need that, we need you

Trump and DeJoy want to run the USPS as a business, when it's a service, as stated by the Constitution, and it's entirely ran by the government. Proved by the fact that Trump could appoint DeJoy for PMG. It's not really supposed to turn a profit in the first place. So trying to make it a business is a violation to the US Constitution. They can't legally make it a business in the first place.
Can also be charged for mail tampering (deliberately delaying the mail is a federal crime), but that one's harder to prove. I prefer to go with treason.
