Lastly, 12v vs 24v jokes aside...I remember being really surprised when Schimmel had consistently faster 1/4 mile times with his 12v built engine vs his 24 built engine with the same build. Plus 12v’s sound better😉😈
i wanted one of these motors for my mk1 audi tt 225. or to put into a modern mk7.5 golf r but this probably takes a lot of time to build the motor and install
Been waiting for this video. Looks badass guys. I love the VR6, W8, and other nontraditional Vw engines. I want to build one for an 01 beetle and swap in, but having trouble finding a GTi to hack up.
Honestly, first thing I thought. Why is Stav looking like a Blues Brother. ;-) Keep up the good work, guys! Love the vids. I follow you for the RS3 items with that build, but am enjoying this as well. Good luck with it!
Brown Magik We are running a fully Built 24v in the Silver S4, Stav likes the 12v setup a little more and went with that for his 12v, we have a comparison video for both our swaps posted a few weeks back.
Ey folks, nice job! I used, to insert the pistons, a 90mm PVC pipe with some cuts in the sides whose where tight with a metal bride. Reducing the diameter to 81mm. It was the safest and cheapest way i found. One question, somebody know if i can put a simplex chain system in a engine who has duplex? The metallic "roller" (i dont know how its said in english) is weaker than the yellow plastic one.(i think) Saludos from Spain
What turbo are you looking to drop in this baby? I'm sourcing parts to build my vr6 and turbo it eventually and I'm planning to get around 800hp out of it street driven
You guys are silly with all the competition between 12v and 24v They're both great engines and the Volkswagen community folks are normally one big happy family. Yes it is tool steel sorry man. Did you guys know the VR6 was originally designed to be a diesel that's why it's so strong
How much does a build like that cost? Just the motor build not including tune. I want to do a 12v build but I'm not looking to get anywhere close to the hp numbers you are, I'd be happy with 500-600 hp, any tips?
Completly standard but decompressed 12v vr6 seen up to 700-800hp depending on fuel and who tune it so basically 500hp its nothing for good condition vr6
@@chancejensen-summers4624 i mean standard rods, pistons, crank, bearings, head, cams etc. Just decompression plate (thicker head gasket) to lower compression ratio to around 8:1 and engine is ready for boost.
@@PTRPerformance oh gotcha, I know about the head gasket spacer but I haven't been able to find any at all, I know the bottom ends of vr6's have forged internals but I'd rather not risk it over boosting and blowing a hole in the block lol, that's why i want to get better internals
I NEED HELP! Fk a clutch and slave swap on a b5! Anyone have a trick to bleeding the air fml!!!! Ive heard bench bled or drilled and tapped is basically the only way to do it🤔
Yeah. Me. It's like Stav is baked or something. And I wish he would quit his I'm 14 act (ie. sunnies, pursing his lips like he's LL Cool J, flexin his arms and shit talking George). I love George, but this whole 12v vs 24v gag is getting old. Stav, you know what you are doing with building, but please drop the act.
Coolest part of all this is all the awesome time spent with your brothers. Ive got 4 older brothers wish we all had a commen interest like this!
All I saw was 900+Hp VR6 and I didn’t think twice and subscribed hell yea😂
same i subed before i watched video.
Stav is a gem.
He should have his own tv show
Want to hear more of his experiences building vr's

thank you for the timing of this video release, i’m now late to work. excited to see the car in action though!
Damn, anything with the piston rings was the most intimidating part for me, and you guys made it look easy. Can't wait to start my build
Hell yeah the sunglasses. Stav looking like a Batman villain

Lekker video guys, keep it up👍🏻👍🏻
12v sound folks, that's why:)
About damn time!
12v never lose!

Great videos guys.
Y’all let Ray Charles install rods and pistons
LOL

Good luck ! MALAKA.....
You guys should get a W8 or W12 engine double VR power!!!
I'm thinking about logging my W8 supercharger build in my 03 B5.
@@kainariylius392 that would be pretty nice to see.
Am I the only one thinking "man nice bright lit garage even when it's dark outside. Wait why the sunglasses?"

This will come in handy when I swap my 2.0 in my MK7 R for the 3.2 (in my dreams) 😄👍🏻
To infinity and beyond!😂
What are the cost for the build I have a 24v vr6 and I wanna build it
Bahaha I love the channel name!!!
How Much did that Little Tiny Extension Bar Twist Torquing down those Rods?
why did you guys go with the 12v instead of 24v? I'm just curious

Where did you order the head bolts from?

What valves? Stock head?
All I hear is “horsepower!” And no, I do not mean the fucking TV show. 😂
any new videos on that soon?
looking forward to 45 pounds of boost stav
Nice

Took long enough!
What piston gap did you used?
is head stock?
Oh and thank god for the gimbal. All that movement was borderline impossible to watch

12v only is diesel design. 24v is normal petrol engine design 😉
