I have a question for the designers of Porsche, why do you build a car that is beautiful, powerful and unique, of course, the dream of all young people. Because all these features together become a Porsche, and Porsche is an unattainable dream for us young people.
What is the point of buying a four door car with no back seats? To save weight? Surely a two door car would be more appropriate. Less length, less weight and more performance for what surely must cost less. A nonsense car for rather silly people.
I'm still of the opinion that the Taycan is not a competitor to the Model S, which is a 5 seat touring super-hatchback. Packaging-wise, the Model 3 is much closer (although even that is more practical than the Taycan). The only reason people compare them is because of drag strip times and price. It would be nice to see what Tesla could go with a Model 3 Plaid - carbon ceramics, bigger battery, bigger motors, better suspension - but despite hinting at it for years it still doesn't exist. But still, which Porsche driver would ever choose a Tesla?
that back seats removal is dumb, how much weight does that even save. and if already doing it why not just block the entire door. just lazy production lines. instead of installing seats just 2 carbon sheets instead. block the back doors and it would be fine, but this way it feels like a teenager mod
"Pascal bernatchez" a small youtube... just posted a vid on his channel of a taycan turbo gt without the weisach package running a 9.15 on the drag strip... no tesla has ever done that... taycan is faster. With the weisach pack its going to be in the 8s. It may beat the lucid saphhire air and is already ahead of them all when it comes to suspension, handling, and braking. Porsche one upped tesla once again. Just like in 2020. Wow.
Sorry but is anyone seriously taking these cars seriously any more? You can’t drive them anywhere now for pot holes and speed cameras. If they don’t get you then the depreciation is like setting fire to money. EV development is going to accelerate leaving these cars behind in both range and performance. Porsche still wants additional money for cruise control and cameras 😂
First you gotta have twice the money....... AND Porsche service is expensive as HECC ! Tesla doesn't even tell you to come do a checkup because it's just so reliable (not saying Porsche isn't reliable). And to clarify, I could give anything to get a Taycan Turbo GT, but for now, I have enough to get an iD.3...
I will state the obvious problems with this ''new'' Taycan. 1. EV prices are collapsing due tu oversupply and low demand for second hand cars. 2. acceleration is great however if i cant do more then 500km with a car that costs 100k plus and charging infrastructure is still bad well then i d rather buy something else. 3. Competition this one in Ireland will cost 160k euro ? im sorry but should electric cars not be cheaper since its jut a skate board with small electric motors ??? and lastly 4. price of electricity vs diesel/petrol its now very well know that if you charge even darning day time electric cars are as economical as a small diesel engine in terms of 100km price vise.
Thomas it's NOT the point of a 5 seater saloon car to handle in the corners like a 911, a saloon car should prioritize comfort and practicality and in that the Tesla centers the point completely. Maximizing track performance is not a saloon car chatacteristic to focus on; for that you hve lightweight sports cars. The best thing you can give a 5 door car is straight line acceleration, nothing more. AND let's remind everyone that the Model S is half the price of this car and gives more straght line performance and higher top speed.
As cool as this is I have no reason why this exists and who this car is for? Why not just buy a proper 911 which will be more exciting due to the engine noises even if it’s a bit slower acceleration wise.
Looks like a true tire eating car. Buy a 2nd set of wheels so you don't miss work every two weeks waiting for the next set to be delivered. Oh yeah, the people who can afford this don't commute to a job. Likely retired or living the posh life.
Danke! Das Auto ist hart abgestimmt, und wenn die Kamera an der Seitenscheibe montiert ist, dann werden die Vibrationen eher weitergegeben als wenn es ein Panorama-Dach gibt und man es oben montieren kann

So now the microwave cooks the burger faster, good to know. Every day I am more thankful that in my country there are no pollution labels on cars, they recently removed the annual emissions verification, that we only pay one dollar per liter of fuel, that we have spare tire on our vehicles, that we do not have special registration or higher taxes because the vehicle is older but on the contrary, that the high taxes are paid by the one who has the new vehicle, and that any type of electrification means failure, in fact we do not consume it, and luckily the brands understood it and bring the units almost to order if it has electrification, because here the people do not consume it. .. Recently the Mustang Mach E arrived, and the journalists think that it delivers little quality for its value, and that it has no utility, since it is very expensive for an everyday vehicle and it is not useful for traveling, since its autonomy is not useful for big countries like ours.
Taycan beats one more record - depretiation speed. Those electric cars have nothing else to offer other than acceleration (as some one already mentioned they are half as useful for twice the price)
To be honest, this review looks more like an advertisement. It seems to me that the potential owner of this car would be interested to know other aspects: 1. What is the warranty period from the car manufacturer for the battery? 2. Real range at a charge level of 80%, including at speeds over 200 km/h. 3. Considering the low ground clearance of the car, how well is the battery protected from damage and is the battery guaranteed if there is external damage? 4. What is the cost of servicing this car relative to its gasoline counterpart??? Considering the greater weight of the electric vehicle (additional costs for tires, discs and pads). 5. Does a multi-speed gearbox require maintenance and at what intervals???. (oil change, ATF) 6. In the event of a minor accident and battery damage, is it possible to replace damaged cells or the entire battery is replaced? 7. Are you comparing this car to Tesla??? But Tesla can offer more than just quick acceleration from a standstill. How about Volkswagen's advanced autonomous driving system??? Maybe a network of their own charging stations in different countries???
This car doesnt make any sense so your vary valid arguments are not that relevant for a buyer of this very version. If you are taking sense into account, you buy a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range or at least the Taycan RWD as we have shown here: ua-cam.com/video/SBqHv5SpYC0/v-deo.html Buying this Taycan Turbo GT is a complete emotional decision because you can afford it and want something extreme to drive
@@autogefuehl because Volkswagen keeps making electric cars that don't make any sense, Tesla is the №1 electric car manufacturer in the world.. But that’s not the whole point: the wind from the Chinese grave is blowing on the German auto industry (the Chinese are already offering cars with similar characteristics with more advanced software and half the price) and Volkswagen seems to have caught a cold. P.S. Do you think rich people are more likely to make rational decisions or emotional ones?
I didn't hear the price. I am pretty sure it would be twice the price of plaid. What Tesla did with the overpowered relative cheap cars was revolutionary.
Oh, you can buy the 4s, same price than plaid, much more better car, better Design and Quality, acceleration 1 second slower, b. t. w., but 20 second faster on every racetrack, more comfort with much better Roadholding!
The fastest Taycan is substantially slower than the Tesla Plaid and costs $235k, while the Plaid costs $110k with the carbon brakes/track package. While comparing these 2 cars is sort of pointless, because they have substantial different purposes, I don't see how anyone (other than Bill Gates) can justify double the price for a slower car with less utility. If you've got money to burn and you really have to have a Porsche, then the Taycan may make sense, but ultimately the Tesla Plaid, while not as well developed for handling, is the superior platform. There's a reason why Taycan Turbos have had such extraordinarily high depreciation. I would say that it would make more sense to buy the base Taycan for $100k, but with a Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous around the corner, even that would be pretty hard to justify.
Sorry BS. Taycan is Faster than Plaid. Laguna seca and nuerburgring faster. Better acceleration and more speed in curves etc. Taycan GT is made for Track.
The Taycan is a faster car and is a bit faster acceleration wise as Tesla uses the dumb 1 foot roll out number so the real 0-60 of the plaid is more like 2.3 seconds. Besides the Porsche being faster I see no reason for this Turbo GT to exist and would rather get a proper Porsche specifically the 911. I do think the Plaid vs turbo GT the plaid wins for more practicality and pretty much the same acceleration and I can carry stuff with it all for less money. I love both Porsche and Tesla but I don’t get Porsche with this trim of the Taycan.
The Taycan is way way faster around corners, drives much better. And its quicker in a straight line, and at the end of the day you Drive a PORSCHE and not a Tesla. That alone is enough to justify the price👍🏻
Show me a Taycan that’s two years old that a top model like the Turbo S that’s 50k! That would be a 2023 model! I’ll wait! I don’t know what yall have going on in the UK, but you won’t find that in the US! Even a 5 year old 2020 turbo S is still going for 90k+ here! Last, you do realize this is a turbo GT a new model. Even if it loses 100k, it would still cost you $150k

I have a question for the designers of Porsche, why do you build a car that is beautiful, powerful and unique, of course, the dream of all young people. Because all these features together become a Porsche, and Porsche is an unattainable dream for us young people.
Why don't they just remove the rear door? @4:50
The normal looks even better than the weissach imo.
What is the point of buying a four door car with no back seats? To save weight? Surely a two door car would be more appropriate. Less length, less weight and more performance for what surely must cost less. A nonsense car for rather silly people.
The way you close the doors always looks like you'll smash your fingers.
Maybe faster then the Model S plaid but not more space, etc so for families not good.
Your delusions are on a trump level 😂. No Tesla is a "supercar". Just a battery on 4 wheels and rides like a go kart.

The Leah meter would have been amazing
She actually said no to this one in care about her heart and blood pressure - and I agree ;-)
that back seats removal is dumb, how much weight does that even save. and if already doing it why not just block the entire door. just lazy production lines. instead of installing seats just 2 carbon sheets instead. block the back doors and it would be fine, but this way it feels like a teenager mod
Can they please already make an electric 911!
I think that’s the next generation 718 that ditches the boxer engine.
It can definitelly win in value loss...
Cool and
First you gotta have twice the money.......
Porsche reliability for their normal cars is not very good.@@achaz_

@@autogefuehl I expected the fake exhaust police to detect this ;)
😂👍
Sounds like it has gears
All TAYCAN`s have 2 gears 👍
No clock
When are you motor journalists getting Porsche Macan EV for such review?

„Why are sports cars not pick up sized reee“
To be honest, this review looks more like an advertisement. It seems to me that the potential owner of this car would be interested to know other aspects:
(oil change, ATF)
This comment looks more like a butt hurt tesla fanboy cying about anything that's not tesla
@@jeffsteyn7174 When a 14 year old schoolboy has no arguments, he tries to insult his interlocutor???
This car doesnt make any sense so your vary valid arguments are not that relevant for a buyer of this very version. If you are taking sense into account, you buy a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range or at least the Taycan RWD as we have shown here: ua-cam.com/video/SBqHv5SpYC0/v-deo.html
Buying this Taycan Turbo GT is a complete emotional decision because you can afford it and want something extreme to drive
@@Alexv342 nice try fanboy. We see through your bs. Keep trying to pump stock price.
I didn't hear the price. I am pretty sure it would be twice the price of plaid. What Tesla did with the overpowered relative cheap cars was revolutionary.
Well ofc tesla is cheaper. Because they offer you a middle finger when it comes to options.
Still it's half the price and loaded with specs. I think Porsche is giving the middle finger to the customers.
@@blakoemailQuite true.
Oh, you can buy the 4s, same price than plaid, much more better car, better Design and Quality, acceleration 1 second slower, b. t. w., but 20 second faster on every racetrack, more comfort with much better Roadholding!
@@blakoemail lmfao loaded? Doesn't even have a hud or gear selector. It's an L on four wheels
Nope! The Taycan is WAY faster than the Model S, and A LOT better to drive. 7:07:55 vs. 7:25:23 on the Ring. That's solid knockout numbers.
Can’t wait to buy this for $50K in 2 years
Show me a Taycan that’s two years old that a top model like the Turbo S that’s 50k!
@@Aggie4life77this is battery powered, like all battery powered appliances, it will lose value rapidly until $0. This will eventually be literally worthless. Only worth its weight in metal. The harsh reality of EV’s
The turbine on an electric car is needed to supply compressed cold air to the rear of the owner when he finds out the cost of replacing the battery after the warranty expires.
