    Hell yea bro bro shit lookin good I just wanted to let you know that the drift wood can take months to sink even little branches I’ve had to weight them down for 4 to 5 months I can’t imagine how long these might take you may be better off putting them in that extra pool and let them sit if you need them out your way but do expect a kind of clearish white fuzz looking growth on the wood that’s normal I have that on every drift wood I put in a tank it goes away been keeping up just ain’t commented in a bit hope to see more of these videos and hopefully we get some more lives hope everything’s good

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  15 днів тому +2

    Tip for the drift wood go buy some black zip ties and find some large peices of slate rock, then with a masonry drill bit drill holes in the rocks or slate and in the drift wood zip tie them together and it will drag the wood to the bottom no problem I have had to do this before in my tank

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  16 днів тому +2

      Thanks for the tip. I already planned to do that if the wood takes too long to sink naturally. I currently keep black zip ties, along with masonry tools like masonry drill bits in my arsenal. All I need is the pavers to sink these pieces of wood. Slate wouldn’t be heavy enough. I definitely appreciate your feedback, we’re on the same page. 👊🏾

    What kind of wood are you using as drift wood? I’m not sure I heard you say it in the video! Keep up the great work! Inspiration for us all!

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  15 днів тому +1

      Thank you for the support! It’s greatly appreciated! And it’s wood from a 20yr old grapefruit tree. It’s okay to use citrus tree limbs, branches and trunks as long as you allow them to fully dry out, as with all trees. This process will take a couple years to do. Make sure they are outside exposed to the weather during the 2+ years.

    Are you gonna try to throw the jardini in the tank or you don’t think so maybe you should throw them all in at the same time so they all ajust at the same time and grow together

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  16 днів тому

      Haven’t figured that out yet. I want the fish to have a chance, the jardini has already bullied the tiger Oscar and two Gouramis and that’s when he was much smaller. My jardini is a difficult one. Once he gets comfortable, he starts the bullying. Which is why he’s by himself. Putting all the fish in at the same time wouldn’t matter. I have to play it strategically. I would most likely add him later to the 1300 after all the other fish get comfortable, since he’s the most aggressive.

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  16 днів тому

      Not crazy at all. The weight is distributed across the entire tank. I’ve stood in the tank and I’m over 230lbs. They’re stronger than you’d think. Stop thinking they’re so fragile. Live a little.

      No I shouldn’t have, or else I would’ve. I don’t need a 1300 gallon saltwater aquarium but I do need multiple large freshwater aquariums. The 800 gallon saltwater aquarium will be big enough for what I need.

    Not gonna lie that driftwood may kill the look… it’s the straight cuts on all the branches.. you mentioned you like the natural look.. those straight cuts on the tree is as unnatural as you can get.. just my opinion, we all have one right

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  16 днів тому +12

      It’s definitely not going to kill the look. Straight cuts on real tree branches are unnatural looking? Since when? So jagged cuts are better? No they’re not, natural and natural look is not the same. I like natural, that means real wood and real rocks, natural color substrate. Not that plastic, rubber or vinyl decor that people buy or get for free from sponsorship, now “that’s as unnatural as you can get.” How is any piece of real wood unnatural, regardless of the cut? On top of that, why not wait until I set up the scape before you try to judge it? One thing for sure and two things for certain, my goal is to make sure “l” above anyone else love the scape I’m going to create. If you don’t like it, 🤷🏾‍♂️ like you said “it’s just your opinion and everybody has one”
      It’s amazing how an opinion can sound like hate or envy. 🤷🏾‍♂️ But hey, that’s just my opinion, we all have one right

    • @RandySevilla-hk5ed
      @RandySevilla-hk5ed 15 днів тому

      No one is hating… if you’re going to be on UA-cam you should learn to handle criticism.. my comment didn’t come from a place of hate. Just an observation. Again, everyone has an opinion, didn’t know commenting would trigger such a defensive response.

    • @TheFishCorner
      @TheFishCorner  15 днів тому +7

      @ Defensive? What do you mean? You commented, I acknowledged it and commented back. If I was defensive, you would have certainly felt it. Don’t comment if you can’t take a rebuttal. Learn how to accept a response once you decide to comment on a strangers UA-cam video. You could have just kept your mouth shut or should I say “kept your fingers idle “ but you chose to engage. So don’t assume a response is defensive. It’s merely a response to the energy and verbiage that originated from your busy fingers. That said, remember, it’s just an opinion that we all have. I hope you learn how to receive a response in the future or at the very least, know how and when to voice your opinion to someone, especially a stranger. Silence is sometimes the best course of action but if you cannot maintain some sense of composure, don’t assume a calculated factual response is defensive, or you can… you can do whatever you’d like. Your mind, your choice, your opinion and everyone is allowed to have one right?
      Before I let you go, I’ll drop a few facts. Since what I observe to be hate from you, you call “just an observation.”
      Fact 1 - This is your second comment you’ve ever left.
      Fact 2 - Both comments could be easily perceived as some sort of hate or slight.
      Fact 3 - You’re not even subscribed to my channel.
      Fact 4 - You’ve never said anything positive or supportive.
      Fact 5 - You’ve never liked a single video or comment.
      So I have to ask….What are you even doing here? Just observing, dropping negativity. That’s called hate. You haven’t left a single supportive comment, not that you have to, but you also don’t have to drop hate (oh excuse me) an “observation” that wasn’t asked for neither. Balance is the key to showing a genuine observation or concern, respect, support, etc. When all your comments are negative and one sided. It’s no longer an observation, it can very clearly be perceived as hate, envy, jealousy or trolling as many do these days. Now I’ve not only shed light on my rebuttal or should I say “defensiveness” as you call it, I also shed light on your “observation” that was anything but that. Hopefully you learn from this because nobody said an opinion in person or on the internet wouldn’t and couldn’t have consequences. It’s an assumption that people can just say whatever they want to someone on the internet and the recipient is supposed to just ignore it, internalize it, or just accept it because “all interactions, good or bad, is good.” If that’s the case why does the person that leaves a negative comment have the audacity to call a response defensive? It’s simply a comment for a comment, energy is fed off of energy. What you put out is what you should expect to receive in return. Be aware of the energy you put out, it’s contagious.
      Well I’ve said enough, Thank you for your comment, your “observation” your hate. It gives me additional fuel to add to my fire and I just keep getting better. I don’t know you but I do hope you have a great year and stay blessed.

    • @RandySevilla-hk5ed
      @RandySevilla-hk5ed 14 днів тому

      Hate to tell you but everyone who chooses to comment doesn’t always need to say something positive.. it was a criticism… I could have worded it differently, but the end result would be the same. My guy, I’m definitely not reading all that. A guy just said your tank looks awful, I didnt say all that, I think the tank came out coo, I did have concerns about the glass, just based on other videos I’ve seen from tank failures… so I commented my concerns.. to avoid a disaster in your home. That also didn't come from a place of hate, many others said the same.
      My comment simply was specific to the driftwood straight cuts.. you’re an adult, and people look up to you, handle it with grace next time instead of tossin out insults. No animosity towards you, aint trying to start the year like that, and never had had a bad interaction with a youtuber, still wish you the best of luck with this tank, your future builds
      And this channel. Have a blessed year.
