also man have you ever tried out claymans harpoon? its the only natural magic damage and int scaling weapon in game that can be buffed by scholars armament which means it can get crazy ar. with just scholars and physick you can get probably 1000ar on it whens its fully upgraded on a str and int hybrid. theyre spears which is great movesets for pvp. what you want to do to max your dmg is run standard mainhand so you can buff it, should be around c tier strength and d magic( i like repeating thrust or golden vow on it). offhand you dont need standard so you can make it cold infused for c in str and int.
Depends on how casting reliant my build is. I almost never go over 25 mind unless I'm using the staff that uses up extra FP. Half caster half melee and even pure caster builds for me almost always have 25 mind. I think you rarely need more than that. But my bloodflame knight who barely casts only has 20 mind. A pure melee build could roll with 15.
There is no certain numbers or break points, just test how many times you can cast your skill/set of spells, and stick with the number you're comfortable with. Never go beyond 38 mind, because that's how much your flask replenishes.
I do use it here and there but my style is not spamming the same thing. Also, I'm not a huge fan of crouch attacks. They feel awkward. I'll still use them but i don't rely on them. None of the other games had them and they just aren't engrained in my mind like the other ones.

If it was only 1v1 or 2v1, that would be too easy for the most of us, since there is no guarantee that they'll be competent fighters in the first place. After watching these invasion videos i realize that just having rivers in you weapon slot is foolish so i have decided to cast away my rivers thank you all for the enlightenment (im still gonna use katanas like nagakiba and uchi)
Honest question, why do Elden ring pvpers get so salty about other peoples playstyles? People will melee power stance bleed weapons but call others shitters for using spells? Spells are a perfectly valid way of fighting, you should do literally everything in your power to kill an invader, spells, ganking, whatever it is. People be salty for such silly shit
