I swear Classic Hardcore is making people go "Am I *really* that dumb?" before dying in a completely preventable way.
But it looks like a lot of fun though :D I haven't played since vanilla & tbc. If I had time I'd start playing on a classic hardcore server.

@@Soilednips yea man where the jumping skill up these days? we used to join private fun servers with all sorts of crazy jumping events and since then (bout 15 y ago) i dont think jumping mechanics and estimating the landing zone in wow are that hard? like cmon press the fckin spacebar if u need to while walking, or walk off without, or jump on the spot and move a bit in the air over the ledge...thats it...oh and ofc all the shiet increasing movement speed you can count in
and wow jumping mechanics aren't rocket science either. In my experience, they are pretty predictable, far more than other aspects of the game.

There is a keybind his character has. Shift-V. It activates a run speed boost that would allow him to easily make the jump. It's incredible he made it to level 48.

Ran my first HC dungeon last night. Rogue was autowalking while typing and he fell into the lava in RFC
Why would people even do dungeons for the ironman challenge? That seems like asking for trouble.
@@MannyBrum the gear rewards from the dungeon quests are a significant upgrade, RFC is fairly easy if you take it slow and steady

No not really, there was potential for a safe jump there, aim for the bushes is a no way you'll survive moment. This guy was just bad and fell off, didnt get any momentum and jump.
It's not the fall that kills you, it's the sudden stop
I would argue that the only reason he suddenly stopped is because of the fall.

Sudden stop was because of the floor/ground. On water or on cushion, stop would not have been so sudden despite the same fall.

You see, the gravity at the height that the ISS orbits at is still significant enough to where, if you were standing on a still platform, you'd still be able to walk around. The reason the ISS has zero-G isn't because of the gravity, but because the ISS is constantly in freefall, it's just moving in one direction at such a high speed that the Earth curves at the same rate that the ISS falls, causing it to remain at the same altitude and those on the ISS to experience "zero-g" by just falling forever without ever reaching a ground. You wouldn't be able to do the same thing inside an atmosphere, as the atmosphere causes drag and prevents any object from moving fast enough to counteract the speed of freefall.

I like how he was planning on doing the jump, but when he dies from it, he plays it off like an accident, like, oh, I didn't jump properly.
I think he did slip though. It looked like he waa going to run and jumo but he got too close to the edge feeling it out and fell.

Seeing these clips has motivated my to try and level a hc warrior to 60. Im just gonna test it to see if my brian shuts down at some point like everyone elses apparently does while doing this

At the start its hard but once you start getting the good green 2 handers it gets easier.
Couple that with alchemy and you are good to go and its not any harder than leveling a rogue.

imagine risking days of ingame time to save 1 minute of running... i saw the same thing happen constantly as a alliance - people would try to get the redridge flypath at like lvl 10, while they were questing in eastern elwynn forest, just to save 3 minutes of running at lvl 17. like, oh, you just threw away 3 hours to save 3 minutes - great job!

Deserved. He had sprint and travel form. Nevermind the fact that he could have easily avoided the jump altogether, if he wasn't pussyfooting around on the edge of the cliff and just committed to the leap, he would've been fine.

The content in hardcore is levelling, not many people stick around to watch end game dungeons or raiding since they're extremely controlled, predictable and safe for the most part. Makes more sense to fake a death like this and continue levelling for a content creator.
I think doing the jump was for content. Dying to it seemed like a genuine mistake on his part
I don't think you understand the time it takes to level in classic, especially on hardcore, ain't nobody throwing all that time investment away for one short clip of content.
Even if we use your logic, there is still a shitton of content to go before this guy reaches endgame, plenty of chance to die naturally or just die in the first raid.

@@heygek2769 dude it takes like 100 hours to get a toon to 60. That really isnt a lot of time when compared to most things, hell i spend an hour in a single dota match sometimes, that coupled with the fact they are being paid by their viewers to do this stuff makes it very plausible
