If you're staying in the game you might also want to look into Endeavors in the Group menu. There's daily and weekly Endeavors that reward you with "Seals" that you can spend in the Crown Store. You can cut down on the 6 month time it takes to max out stables, or buy research scrolls to speed up the progress on your crafting character. You can also use the Seals to buy items that would otherwise only be available in Crown Crates. I started playing ESO in Oct 2019 and have no intention of leaving. I still love ESO. Welcome to the game and thanks for the great vid.

I made various characters in the first four years or so of ESO launch, then moved on to other games. However, I recently rejoined via ESO+ for 3 months and am enjoying it very much - now Level 42 (presently on a Breton Sorc too!).
I am a Solo player 'by nature' but your vid's helped me to decide trying the Group Finder so I can complete the upcoming Undaunted and other zone dungeons that I have so far ignored.
I totally agree about the need for a 'World Market' trading system btw!
A great vid and an encouragement to new players (and me as an oldie) - Thank You Waydot!

Thank you for your playthrough, I have had ESO since it was first introduced, and I have seen the difference between the Old Champion Point System, and the New Champion Point System. I have played all of the content in the Old system, and I have unlocked all the quests, and areas on my very first character. I now use that character as a crafter for my current and future characters. I much like you, when I first got ESO, I was amazed at the game and the graphics. I had no idea what type of character to play, so my first character was the Elf Templar. I have seen where the game has come from, and have watched it progress into what it is today, bugs and all.

btw, you didn't talk about it, but players can get a werewolf/vampire bite. this give access to a quest that give a skill line about those. if you change your mind, you can then purify yourself and get the other bite instead.
still, getting a bite can give access to special dialogue in many quest across the game. those generaly aren't available for both bites at once. for exemple, in greymore, at some point lyris titan will mention she don't trust our vampire friend. if you're a vampire yourself, you get the option to tell her "i'm a vampire too. don't you trust me?". likewise in another quest, in a delve of summerset, you need to save a high elf lady who actualy git bit by her werewolf captors. if you're a werewolf yourself, she will recognize the sent of a werewolf coming from you, which will again let you select a werewolf only dialogue.
plus, both skill lines give neat bonus. werewolf doesn't have any bad side to it, unless you transform. then, you get a poison weakness, but also deal much more damage (not a very good for magicka users). meanwhile, vampire have their weakness to fire nonstop, but much more bonus, they're better at stealth and their burst makes them near impossible to kill in the base game. vampire, can even adjust their boost/nerf thanks to a blood drinking mechanic, while werewolf can stay transformed for as long as they want by feeding on the corps of their ennemies to prolonge the ultimates transformation, making it one of the only ultimate, with a potentialy endless duration.

I Always wanted to bé werewolf but never been able to..

    • @ericcardinal9138
      @ericcardinal9138 6 днів тому

      @@harmagedonFR there's 3 ways.
      1. buy a bite from the crown store. i strongly suggest to never do this. the 2 other ways are free and one of the 2 is fairly easy.
      2. in bangkorai, reaper's march and the rift, there are rarely seen mobs that can bite you. do note that it wouldn't be garantied that the mobs are werewolves as vampires have their equivalent and they spwan at the same locations. if one of the 2 types of mobs are there, the other won't. also note that not every werewolf can give you the bite. only those specific mobs can.
      3. the easiest method. ask other players to bite you. wether they are in your guilds or from the zone chat, you could easily find players that willing do so. once a werewolf, eventualy, the players can get a passive skill that will let them bite other players once per week. btw, some players may ask for gold to bite you. never accept. these players are either scammers trying to make quick cash or players who got scammed and now think that this actualy is a thing. if you stomble on one of these players, simply continue searching. quick tip, don't search during the "dead hours" as there are practicaly no players, let alone somethat can bit you and just because they can doesn't mean they would. to be safe to not waste hours waiting for nothing, go to craglorn and check how many players are waiting for a raid. the amount of players there is a good indicator of how much time you'd be waiting, by asking in zone chat.
bonus: once you get a bite, you can save it in your build station, in your house. these stations are free for all players and this way, if you lose your bite for some reason, you'll get it back by loading your saved build that have it. i always have one of my build with a vampire bite and the other with a werewolf bite. this way, i never have to ask a player to bite me again and if there's a "bite required" dialogue, i can get it after a quick trip to my house, if i didn't have the right bite.
      hope this help. 🙂

The dolmens you came across in Alik'r Desert are for powerleveling. You can use them from lvl 1 all the way up through your champion points. There are multiple ways to powerlevel but that's just one of them.
As for upgrading your mount speed, stamina and inventory capacity, you can purchase scrolls which will upgrade them instantly without having to wait.
You'll want to learn how to weave in between each skill you cast, weaving is essentially light attacking in between every single skill you cast, which will increase your DPS enormously. As a sorcerer, stick with fire staff as they give you more DPS.
Look up sets you need for your class, they constantly change with every new expansion but essentially it will be 5+5 piece set + 2 monster items (5 body, 3 jewelry + weapons = another 5 piece set and your monster set, depending if it's 2 different monster set pieces or 1+1 will all net you an insane amount of DPS). Or, 5+5+1+1, using only 1 monster set piece with 5 piece jewelry + weapon, 5 piece body and 1 named item (might still be "harpooners wading kilt" for sorc).
Get a vampire bite from a player and stay at stage 2-3 vampirism.
Mundus stones, vampire stages, target dummies for DPS tests, crafting stations including a transmute station can all be put into your own house if you have one so you don't have to travel endlessly around towns and regions to use what you want. It can all be done in player housing. If you don't own a house then simply join a guild or add a friend that has a guild house with everything you need in it. You're more than welcome to use my guild house, it's got everything you need in it and all you need to do is have me on your friends list and you'll be able to travel to it. Just let me know.
If you want to find specific items and save yourself endless hours of searching through every single guild trader, use the Tamriel Trade Center website as it lets you search for anything you want and will tell you exactly which guild traders have the items you're looking for, meaning you can go straight to them and find your item right away.
The veteran dungeons that you complete for pledges, if you do veteran Hard Mode then you'll earn an extra key.
Just some advice to help you on your way.

The mount training time gate is because they sell books in the shop, game rely on a "pay to skip grind" outside the expansion and dungeons DLC
BUT if you go to Cyrodiil (PVP) area and complete the tutorials there about keeps and siege weapon you can unlock a passive in the assault line to spend a skill point on giving you a permanent +30% mount speed buff
An alternative to crafting bag would be storage chest for your house, you can get get a few 60 and 30 slot chests by doing master writs earned after hitting max lvl in a crafting proficiency, you earn ticket you can spend to the same guy you deliver the stuff too
You also sometime have a "free ESO+ trial" event, this is where I empty my bank/chest and do all my ressource map

I am glad to see it looks good, alive and filled with content. There's a huge discount going on in the Xbox Store which will give me everything up to now, Necrom included. I wanna love the game so bad but for me its the combat. Its so horrible for action combat. There is no grounded/slam feeling to the combat. Its hard to explain but it feels like your hitting air I hate it so much. Thats why I always play bow or magic even then they also feel off. Something feels unfinished for me. Also the questing feels bad like you can do a quest thats 45mins and get like 5% exp on one level. Even the gathering isnt good. You find like rare random ass tiny logs on the ground. Instead of using an axe and actually cutting down a tree. I love elder scrolls but everytime I play its very short lived. Sorry for the rant xD I just wish it was better.

So when gold road comes out, any new players could buy gold road by itself, and subscribe to eso plus and have access to every expansion in the game and all small dlc releases.

Not sure if someone else has already mentioned it, but there is also the Antiquities system which was added with the Greymoor chapter (Western Skyrim). This allows you to go and dig up various antiques, from vendor trash to housing items to a Mount to Mythic items. One of the Mythic items is called the Oakensoul Ring and it has the special function of giving a bunch of the major buffs as passives, at the cost of not being able to bar swap, so you only have 1 weapon set and 6 skills (including your ultimate). This greatly simplifies the combat rotations and makes it a lot less button-mashy, which is something you may find you prefer @Waydot

Also as a new character you want the Lover Mundas which gives penetration. The Thief is best for organized groups once you have gear specked into crit buffs, until you reach the pen cap (9100/18200) you want penetration.

Not saying I know everything, far from it, but the thief is best as a starting and old school mag sorc. Maybe pen is more important if you concentrate on PVP only, but PVE thief is best.

Just FYI, you don't have to teleport to "trigger" the Prophet to give you the next quest for the Main Questline. You just need to hit levels 10, 20, 30 and 40. Then go near the entrance of the first cities in the alliance you are in (Daggerfall for DC, Devon's Watch for EP and Vulken Guard for AD). As far as I can remember, at level 40 you should already be in Coldharbour. It is best though you also start the Mage's, Fighter's Guild storylines together with the Main storyline, as those storylines really is intertwined with the Main storyline.
Also, yeah you can most likely get your Alliance skill line to Level 3 by doing Battlegrounds, but you can really also just do the introductory quest in Cyrodiil and hit Level 3 of the Alliance skill line just by doing the tutorial. Plus there is a skyshard there you can get. No need to PvP. PvP is... was really cool in ESO though, I will admit.
Lastly, you are absolutely right about not grinding your first character. There is literally no need to rush to end game. Enjoy the game. Like seriously, immerse yourself in the world and the story. ESO has amazing storylines. Worrying how to get to level 50 will only frustrate you, especially if it's your first character.

Hi, I've been playing ESO since launch. I am CP 1000+ on PC and on Xbox. I honestly think the class system is there for balance and is really needed. If a player could just pick from all those different class skills the game would be broken AF. Also, some skills do some of the same things as the other classes so there would be needless overlap. I've always loved that ESO has flexible classes, just my opinion

To answer your question about classes:
Each class brings a specific bonus/buff/debuffs to the team. Also each class focuses on a type of healing and damage.
For example the necro excels at DoT and burst healing/damage at critical phase of fights but lacks in sustain/major buffs to push the manage further
The warden however is a master of sustain and self buffs which can also benefit the team . They are also paired with templars as the best healers in game.
Can you be a great sorcerer healer? Certainly but the utility you provide will be so much less in harder/longer content.
There’s a lot of depth in each class and it takes awhile to learn the nitty gritty but that’s one way that it makes this game so fun, for me at least.

Just bind, sell or use to learn crafting traits or lvl up crafting and keep green, blue, purple & yellow crafting items in bank. Eventually the only mat you'll need is the last one (150 to 160). This is something to note regarding the racial passives: The racial passives matter in the early to mid game. In the endgame, you should have enough Champion Points to tweak your stats around the way you wish. There are "passives" in the Champion Point Trees that offer bonus Magicka/Stamina/Health, and Magicka/Stamina/Health recovery. So if you want to play a Sorcerer as an Orc (whose racial passives is focused on Stamina and Health), you absolutely can since you can invest Champion Points into Magicka bonuses. The same goes with most if not all stat types i.e. Weapon/Spell Power, Penetration, Critical Damage, Armor, etc.

    • @Painsjustice
      @Painsjustice 3 місяці тому

this is only partly true. For Endgame content there are to 100% meta races, which passives are just better and support the max amount of dmg/support/whatever you want to do. You can pick other races and the difference will not be immense, but its a difference for sure. Cp's wont help in this regard, since there is a meta aswell and nobody will pick a magicka Cp when he can take 6% more dmg for example.
