nice car, I remembered my grandpa's 55 chevy bel air 4dr sedan , green and white combo, so nice, i liked the plane on the hood, but unfortunately it was just sold to a museum for a cheap price, when he passed away,
I purchased my first car in 1965 for $300.00. It was a '55 Chevy 2 Dr HT. I put a '58 283 engine in it. I loved that car. I then purchased a '57 Chevy 2 Dr HT. Those were my cars in high school. I rebuilt the engines, added Brog-Warner T-10 four speed transmissions, solid lifter Duntov cam and solid lifters, Corvette valve springs. I rebuilt my first V8 engine at age 16. The engines would rev to 6000 rpms, but the 283 engines bored themselves out. I added a bigger oil pump and welded a two inch extension on the oil pan to accept the bigger oil pump. That did not really help. I was lucky to get 15,000 miles out of an engine. I finally gave up building hot rods when I went to college.

I think anyone watching your video who is over 50 knows all the things you are explaining. I am 73. I have owned 58 cars, and the 58 Bel Air (2 door hardtop) is my very favorite.
My absolute favorite color combo on the '55. Those "gems" in the tail lights are called Blue Dots, and they're not factory stock. In fact, they're illegal in some states. All in all, a nice ride, man! If it were mine, I wouldn't make a lot of changes to it. You have a couple of broken/missing parts/items, but that's about it. I'd get the radio installed and cruise the tires off it - then replace the tires and cruise it some more!

That bel air is super clean. One of my all time favorites. If you ever consider a motor swap though, a 454 would be pretty cool.
Agreed
This car really really looks like the _Declasse Tornado_ from Gta 5.
Yeah it's based on this
Big smokes from gta sa
@@isaacster5027 The Tornado is based on the 57 Bel Air, not the 55
@@cucabeludo9342 oops, my mistake
@@isaacster5027 No problem my dude
I am 14 and I love the 55 I have been driving a 4 door 55 that my grandpa restored it had a corvette LT1 engine and the same color scheme I hope you will love the car it looks good!!!!
The car is alright but i prefer the 1979 Dodge Charger
You probably mean the 1969 charger. The iconic body style of the General Lee.

We liven in 2019 while this guy living in...1955.
Lucky him
Looks like hes living in a better generation.
I would suggest to keep the 350 CID. It sounds nice, performs well, its got a good 'ole carburator in it and its basically an LS1 but for the older days! Served the same purpose the LS does now, not to mention, it has more value to the car! Love that little coupe, keep it a looker my man!
Im 17 I want a:
Bel air 53 chop top

Cadillac Fleetwood 89
