Thanks for your video. my advance trac service light came on after i was changing spark plugs on my 2014 Mustang. Lost power steering. $25.00 later and your video, she purrs like a kitten again. Thanks again for your post.
I just finished changing my spark plugs accidently touched the socket wrench to the battery and some sparks were made and now my car says service advanced track maybe it’s blown now need a new one
this was a fantastic help! SPOT ON! I don't know what advance trac is, why it would also lock up the power steering but I accidentally touched the opposite battery terminals while jumping a friend and BOOM!, sparks and error lights everywhere. This big double sided fuse is on positive side of the battery to do just what it did - protect the entire trucks system - mine is a 2017 Expedition so I guess Ford uses the set up in a ton of trucks. Anyway, had to go to 100 ford parts depts. to get the part but $30 and 5 min change out and everything is good again - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO - the guys at Ford just said turn it off a while it will all reset - wrong!
No blown fuse on my 2012 F150, but all the terminal connections at the hot post had become oxidized. Some sand paper and a small dremel stone cured my issue.
My Ford f250 super duty has the traction light on (flashing) and chime sound. I don’t see a fuse on the positive battery cable . Is there a fuse for this in the fuse box under the hood?
Were you getting both (service advance traction) and (check brake system/ABS) light on your dash or just the service advance traction on your dash ??? I replaced the 60 amp fuse already and nothing , hopefully this does it
I'm so glad I saw this! I have the same issue you were talking about with the ABS and advancetrac light on. Pop the hood and wouldn't you know it the fuse is blown. Hopefully once I replace the fuse everything will be back working normal again
What were all the symptoms you were experiencing because my fuse looks fine but my warning light did come on and my blinkers failed once but now they are fine.
@@uchennaudealor7502 mine was the steering wheel sensor.... unfortunately mine was built into the steering wheel column and not behind the steering wheel..... the whole column would need replaced....$1500......i learned to max the steering wheel in the opposite direction and drive a little bit and it would go away!
Is this something that would keep your vehicle from cranky at all? At this point I know my alternator is good my batteries good and it’s got a brand new starter. But in the comments I haven’t seen or heard of anybody saying their car would not start at all.
F150 right? Cranks great but no start? Take it to the dealer for the fuel pump fuse to be relocated. There is a technical service bulletin on it and I had the same thing happen to my f150, about 200$ repair, vs the 500$ repair another shop gave that replaced the wrong part
That's what's happening to mine right now, same year. And yes I was giving it some jumping cables because it didn't start to go to work.. I'll check after work, that fuse on the battery and the fuel fuse, because its cranking but not starting and it was fine the night before.
I have same issues but this was not the problem, 2013 f150 anyone have other ideas I’ve been dealing with this for years. Only turn signals won’t stay on. Steering still works.
hey girl hey - i replaced mine fuses and i’m still having issues. i then replaced the throttle body and the fuse (fuse 47) and i still get the service advance trac, decent decline issue…smh
Time to trade that car in … I’ve been dealing with it and I was so tired of wasting money so I just traded it in and started a new journey with a better vehicle
Damn, who pissed in your Cheerios? No need to be hateful. She literally fixed her problem on her own and thought it would be an educational help by sharing what she’d done. Or maybe you’re just old school and it cramps the “man’s” style because a woman was able to fix it herself??? Who knows. Either way, have a little respect in not only your fellow HUMAN, but for yourself as well!!! Good day sir 😁
Good job Girl. Not afraid to get your hands dirty. I love it

I'm currently losing my power steering. Did you brakes lock up too? Mine only does this on right hand turns if I don't make a complete stop
@@a.sikor.9540 the brakes were not locking up
What is the part number? where did you buy it?

Thank you for the easy fix that's what was wrong with my f-150 I would hav never would have thought to look
You saved me a ton of money. Thank you!
I'm so glad my video helped. It took a lot of blood sweat and tears to figure it out. But so glad I did because the option was $ hundreds in theshop

If your mustang has advance trac, look for the breaker to be blown
Wow, hope this works on my 2014 power stroke
Same issue but different looking fuse on 2017 expedition. Thank you!
Hi,
Where did you fix it on the 2017 Ford Expedition?? Please help🙏🏼
It’s in the battery cable
There’s 2 positives I believe. Been a while
Go on girl!
Nice work

Was just one fuse blown or was both fuses good and you just replaced the part?
THANK YOU SO MUCH U JUAT SAVED ME ALOT OF STRESS AND MONEY !!!
I'm SO HAPPY that this helped you
What did the blown fuse look like
It didn't work for me either 2013 ford edge. While parked a punk hit the front bumper and bit of headlights and then the service advance tract
You're awesome Thanks!!
Does this work on the 13 explorer too?? Also does that cause your car to lock up on the brakes and steering? Or is that another issue??
I have had this locking / grinding issue for years on my 2013 along the the Service Advancetec light. Did you fix it? Thanks

I am not sure if it would keep it from starting, I doubt it. You could call a shop and ask them but that's probably not the problem
sounds like you need a new ignition
