Uppercase upsilon looks like the Latin uppercase Y - which is just the Y we use in our alphabet. Lowercase gamma looks similar (but not exactly like) to our lowercase y. Uppercase gamma looks like a vertically flipped L, and lowercase upsilon looks similar (also not exactly) to our lowercase u. Though then this can get easily confused with lowercase mu or nu... it's tricky.
Thanks a lot mam....mam is there any website or course run by you where we can find new course 🙂 because mam I am a 12th standard student from India ...so need your help to study in these times🙂
Thank you for the great tutorial of Direction cosine. Can you tell me the applications of this topic? I understand the concept, but I have a hard time understanding the real world uses of direction cosine.
Fantastic work! My teacher couldn't get this is my head in 2 days! Really helpful, especially when you have your exam the ext day. Would you mind letting me know the software you've used here Krista? Just curious.
@@benwillis2158 She wrote a capital upsilon, which is similar to a "Y". A lower case handwritten gamma has a loop at the bottom. www.foundalis.com/lan/hw/grkhandw.htm
Wonderful video, thank you, it IS gamma, however, you were also calling it upsilon (the 20th letter of the a.grk. alphabet), not epsilon (5th letter). Epsilon looks like a cursive e, but upsilon looks like a u, and capital upsilon looks exactly like Y, hence the confusion. In French, y = "i-grèque" whereas the french u is more akin to the "oopsilon" pronunciation of upsilon (English we should just say uh-psilon). Different from epslion. Language doesn't make sense.
best damn explanation of direction cosines and angles I've seen...thank you
Thanks! :D
That voice is so pleasant to listen to!
I used to watch your videos like 10 years ago for GCSE and IB exams. A long time has passed
so then why you are watching right now
Perfect. Nothing online compares.
Thank you so much, Shivansh!

Can't find better content and explanation than this ☺️🙂
So glad you think so, vaibhav!

thanks so much! It was so much more helpful than my txtbook :D
wtf
thank u Krista. Just keep it easy and simple as always. Very helpful.
Thanks!
your explanation is beyond amazing!
Thank you!!
Krista thank you so much fir helping ❤️
You're welcome, Rajesh, I'm happy to help! :D
@@kristakingmath thank you so much mam .. actually Rajesh is my father name heehee😁😁 ..

+William Sanders Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video its been a great help.🙏
Bless your soul. Beautiful explanation!
I'm back to learn Cal 3!Thank you!
Great Video! Very clear and well explained. THANKS!
+Zak Krenzer Thanks! Glad it could help!
Brian is right. My book uses gamma also. That said, this video was still more clear than my book. Thanks for the explanation!
F.Y.I., that is gamma, not epsilon. . epsilon is a lower case e, sort of like the irrational number.
She said upsilon, and wrote the correct character for upsilon.
how about if it just give two equation of plane? did we need to find the cross product first? and the cross product gonna represent direction number?
if the angles are negative, would they be the angles between the negative branch of the x,y,z axis in contact with the a vector?
isn't it: alpha, beta, gamma?
correct, she was confused.
She's using upsilon. Nothing wrong w/ that. You can call it whatever you want.
I forgot how to find direction cosine this video helped me thx alot
+Sikandar Ali You're welcome, I'm happy to help!
You explained it very well. Thank you!
You're welcome, I'm so glad it helped!!
WHAT A BOSS thanks for helping me!
+PythonDelta You're welcome, glad it helped!
Best explanation ever 👌, thank u!!
You're welcome, Rayan, I'm so glad you liked it! :)
Fantastic explanation!
Thanks!
I'm pretty sure that's gamma not epsilon...
She said upsilon, and wrote the correct character for upsilon. Nothing wrong with that.
Oh ! the video was awesome thanks a lot ...Got right in my head now....
Awesome! I'm glad it could help. :)
Thank you so much, I understand it better now!
Hope Javier I'm so glad it's making more sense!
Great video! Thanks for the help!
Thanks! Glad you liked it. :)

Why did we use cos function here?
This helps so much!!!
I love listening to your voice a lot more than my professor ;)
really helpful.....thanks krista
You're welcome! I'm it could help. :)
hey your tutorial is great but if you don't mind can you tell me about the software you use to make this vedio
Sure! Here's more information, hopefully it helps! www.kristakingmath.com/blog/how-i-create-my-videos
Thanks for the help
Actually I was searching for an tool to make good vedios like you
You are awesome, Krista. (: (: I love your work and understanding (: (: (:
Thank you so much! :D
thanks very much , you made it very simple.
On which of the Udemy course have you explained this?
This is in my Calculus 3 course. :)
Bless you .. u solve my problem 😊
I'm so glad it helped! :)
angles are measured in positive or negative direction ? plz clarify
if we draw mirror image of your vector ,the resultant vector is mirror image .now angle wil be what
very nice teaching. thank you.
Thanks!

Madam if direction angles are given then how can we find direction cosines?
really helped me, thank you!
Awesome! Thanks for letting me know. :)
Nice video. Thanks for the help :)
Thanks! Glad it could help.
life saver..... thank you !!
tnx bro love it
You know that that's not epsilon - it's gamma!
She said upsilon, and wrote the correct character for upsilon.
@@merkeliii She wrote a gamma symbol, not an upsilon symbol, which does look similar though

Who cares if it’s not?
why do u find the mag magnitude?
Thank you very much
really, WOW, can't say more
Mam here why we use direction cosin why not sine
thanks amazing explanation
LOVE YOU THAT'S HELPS A LOT '
:)
Why sum of square of dcs is equal to 1
amazing !!! thanks so much for this :) x
:D
That's not the sign for epsilon. What you wrote is gamma. Epsilon is like the curvy E (like a backwards 3).
its not Epsilon its gamma, that triggered me, apart from that great video
She said upsilon, and wrote the correct character for upsilon.
Thanks

thank's
6 years later... that's an upsilon not a gamma guys...
To be changed to gamma in lecture from epsilon
Great video but its alpha, beta and gamma. That funk y is a symbol of gamma. Epsilon is a stylish e.
But why?
Okey ,suppose you have two or three vectors ,how do you find the directions cosines 😅
Sweetest voice
your voice is awesome just like rapunzel...
Do people not check the comments first before they say the EXACT SAME THING?
Praise the lord
that is not an epsilon symbol. U used gamma symbol instead of epsilon.
I love you
she just sees you as a friend

mvp
mam that's gamma some call it gamma in fact it's gamma
love your videos but please speak louder :D
Thanks
Thanks
No problem, John! :)
