Another cracking video which shows how much work goes into a shroud and mod. You can clearly hear the sound difference it makes, even with auto levelling. Anyone wondering why custom parts cost what they do just need to watch this video. I'm always in awe of the machining skills. Outstanding.
I too saw the gun (and shot it) on Saturday, fantastic work as always and now it is the gun BSA should have produced. It will be a lucky shooter that ends up with the finished product 😉
In every video you prove to us that you are excellent at changing air rifles to the utmost level of professionalism. Good luck, my brother. I wish you happy days, and on the occasion of New Year, I offer you my warmest congratulations, your loyal follower from Algeria.
You’ve turned a nice looking gun into a piece of art and what’s more a nice shooting rifle. Always a pleasure watching what you do and seeing the end result. Thank you for sharing 👍
Top quality work Jake as ever mate shroud looks stunning in the flesh and sounds much better as well.I quite like the un anodised ends it matched the mesh.
Hi guy's I've watched loads of your videos and your machining skills are on another level absolutely amazing to watch and how you improve what multi million pound company's produce is insane keep em coming guy's 👍
Superb that Jeff. I think you lads should be called “Artisan Engineers” not only are you parts extremely well made, but look fantastic as well. Can’t wait to see the end product.👍👍
I think your work is quality engineering you always explain the work you are doing in understandable language, I think you would make a Very good instructor 👍
Your work is perfection. Beautiful and simple, clear videos that are very instructive and inspiring. I wish you can do a complete video on best techniques and tools to crown a blank airgun barrel, LW or CZ, and also FX liners that are quite challenging due to their soft steel and thin walls. Would love to see how u would perfectly crown these either 11 or 45 degrees, and which one would give better accuracy. Also would be great to have a video on how to polish the bores, grooves, lands, valleys, from a factory finish to a mirror like bore that will have no tool marks and foul much less specially at high power settings using heavy slugs that foul a lot more than pellets. Hopefully you would do that video soon :) Keep up your great work !!!! Thank you
Good cheap source of fine mesh I found was a grease splatter screen from the kitchen section at the store - the type you cover a pan with when you are frying bacon.
WOW!!! Very nicely done indeed 👏 👏👏 Great watch, edit and narration as ever 👍 and what a fantastic result!! Just goes to show how good a BSA can be 💪 look forward to the next one 😊 atvb
Superb work as always. Sounds a lot quieter than standard and is a thing of beauty. Have you ever considered designing making your own pcp. It would make a fantastic video series. Take care.
Another great design with a very pleasing look even before the aluminium is anodised. If you haven't found any suitable mesh yet, you could try and contact a filter manufacturer. Companies such as Croft Filters in Warrington do manufacture them, so you may get lucky with an offcut.
Love watching all your videos but really enjoy the metalwork the best... dam, why was I so naughty in metalwork at school... real skill you have Sir. All the Best.
thank you, it's funny when we started we used to leave the machining out as we thought people would get bored 🤣 we got asked so many times to put it we do now and people really seem to enjoy it
@@sub12airgunners i enjoy the stripdowns/repairs. but watching you create something from nothing is pretty awe inspiring. for me I take a grub screw out and then I'm looking on ebay Amazon for a replacement as I cross-threaded it .. waiting for an Ixia teardown... all the best Sir ..
Absolutely lovely! With regards to the anodising, maybe just clearcoat? I think the silver cap and taper match the steel mesh nicely. I wish I had even a fraction of your machining skill (and some of your tools! 😉)
Really enjoyed your video and creative work. I can clearly hear the quiet difference between moderators. I have several airguns and would love to show your work to an audience of about 30,000 airgunners. Could we talk?
we have had a bit of a play with the stripper in the mod but not enough to say good or bad, it worked on the one in my FX crown but that mod on my Redwolf was terrible
Hello there, some time ago, I saw an air splitter you made for a suppressor shroud but I can't seem to find it. Would you please point me in the right direction with your link? Many thanks
That is looking very good. Personally i do like the look of the bare aluminium, it combines great with the mesh. Watch out when milling carbon fiber and brushing the chips away with your finger, carbon can have nasty long sharp splinters and dont ask me how i know😂😂
Hello! I am a Chinese friend and I have learned a lot from your videos. Like your video very much. I still want to ask you a weaker question. In your opinion, that kind of noise reduction effect is better. I want to make one myself as a reference.
absolutely awesome my friend . just gives that gun a more classy look in my opinion. definitely know what you mean about the mesh think it would look a little better with a finer mesh in there like on my hugget silencer that has a fine mesh and looks very nice . as per usual outstanding machine work and it certainly comes across as something you enjoy doing 👍
hello jef i do not have open vent holes next to my face anymore , because of the dust that will come out , the grey one and easy to breath in . al air goes out of the muzzle end or silencer by my guns .
Hello mate , really enjoying your videos and your workmanship it’s spot on 👌🏻are you a tuning company? I’ve just bought an r12 and looking for some custom work to be done , carbon bottle, shroud tune etc . Thanks .
@@sub12airgunners okay that’s a shame , I’m sure people would be forming a queue if you were too👍can you recommend anyone? Was thinking maybe ratworks 🤷🏻♂️
New to your channel but sit there glued to the tv. Amazing work.

Thanks Dave it is really turning in to a nice gun now
Beautifully made shroud and moderator ..... Will look even better with the caps anodised as a finish showing off the mesh
Thanks Lee👍👍
You make things look easy. that's the sign of a true craftsman . great video

Why do you need to cut eight slots to expose the mesh, does it help to reduce noise ?

Amazing craftsmanship Jeff the question is would you like to make one for R10 se
thank you 😀 sorry no we don't do them to sell
if you are using the shroud to put tension on the barrel it must touch the barrel housing is that a problem
That is looking very good.
