Welcome back to the vlog. You join me and my son Harley on a short session on our syndicate. The nights are getting shorter and the fish are starting to slow down as the weather turns colder.
Fishing has been slow over the past month due to the severe flooding which has made most lakes inaccessible in our area. We maximise our time on the lakes with short overnight sessions. Harley comes up trumps and bags a nice common for the camera.
I have created "A Carpy Connection" in the hope of bringing some quality, carpy content for you to watch. Bringing together my love of photography, videography and my passion for carp angling and putting all together for you to enjoy. In my vlogs i try to offer some carp fishing tips and techniques, fishing photography carp fishing rigs, and a few fish along the way.

Wow that's some flood, wonder if the lake gained or lost fish
Yes it is mate. Apparently the worst in 46 years. Hopefully the lake has gained fish. There is a fence around the lake so hopefully nothing got out.

Hi Mark a very moody vlog you can tell its your passion (photography/videoography)..Shame no fish for you but next time...Gonna be harder now, lower water temps,less daylight hours its all against us but effort will equal reward..Till next vlog...
Hi Mate. Thanks again for watching and commenting. My year has been dire fishing wise. Although i have had some good fish this year. I also have not been putting much time into one particular water which doesn't help. I am going to concentrate on my syndicate now as i know the water well having fished it for 3 years now. Its still not an easy water but the rewards are there to be had. The thing for me now is to stick to the areas that i know ( once the flooding stops). Time hasn't been on my side either as these vlogs take a lot of time and effort to produce and have got in the way of my fishing. Everything takes twice as long to do when I'm trying to film it. I don't want to put any old rubbish out there which is why i am only doing one a month. I am confident there will be more fish in my vlogs now. If not from me, from Harley.

Hi Paul. Thank you for your continued comments and support. Harley is an exceptional angler ( i taught him everything i know) :0). He has been very unlucky not to catch his target fish yet from our syndicate but I'm sure it will happen very soon. I think he will be a great addition to the vlogs. It is also good to build memories to look back on. Hopefully now i will concentrate on my syndicate i to will have some fish for the camera. I look forward to uploading more vlogs for you to enjoy.

Hi mate. Thanks for your comment. It's all dependent on the situation if I drop the lead or not. If I'm snag fishing or fishing in or near heavy weed then I will make sure the lead drops. Coming up to winter when the weed has died down or if I'm fishing in open water on a clear bottom then I will try to keep hold of my leads. I hope that helps. Cheers.

Hi Scott. Many thanks for your comment and feedback. I fully understand what you are saying and i understand that my vlogs are not for everyone. I am trying to make my vlogs a bit different from the run of the mill bait, rigs and gear videos you see on youtube. My channel is all about creating the atmosphere through the music and the images. A Carpy Connection is all about my passion for angling and photography/ videography. I will however be making more of an effort to show the technical side of my fishing and i take your comment on board fully. Please stick with it and thank you for subscribing. I don't know what people want to see until they tell me.
