Really enjoyed this video always good watch thanks look forward to more to come ,got my winter lake to fish and its local to 5mins away on club ticket ,looking for good winter bait now.
Hi Nick. Thanks for your comment. Winter is one of my favourite times of year. Even more of a challenge and the rewards are a lot sweeter. I can highly recommend the monster red or the creamino for a winter campaign. Good luck mate and thanks for watching.
Hi Mate. Thanks for your comment. Glad yo enjoyed my film. Your channel is also very impressive. A lot of work gone into that. I have subscribed. Cheers.
Hi Alan. Thanks for your comment. My vlogs are as true as they happen mate. I just try to create the atmosphere of being there. Glad you enjoyed it mate.
Hi Alex. Thanks for your comment mate. The Hinge is a decent rig, especially this time of year when there is alot of detritus on the bottom. Glad you like the Nexus. Its quality stuff. 😁🎣👍
Hi Mate. They will be more regular now. I'm really getting back into it again. Lots of work but very enjoyable. Get those rods out, you wont catch at home. Be Lucky.
Hi Glen. Thank you for commenting. Yes it is lovely lake. Very underrated and under fished really. A few surprises to be had to I think. I've had a good run over the past couple of months so I will take a blank. Thanks for watching 😁🎣👍
Great video Mark....love the explanations of the gear you use and why ... nexus chain compared to lead core , you nailed that with the picture of lead core....why would you use it now after that ...nexus all the time for me now ... I take it is still on your website for sale still .... as I put my mate onto it as he used 1 I had from yourself and he wants some now ...but again great video ..lovely setting and music ...well done ... kev
Hi Kev. Thank you mate. Glad you enjoyed the vlog. I try to make them as informative as i can. The Nexus is something else. It has been so popular, i have currently sold out. I think i have one spool left on the website. I am waiting for more to arrive but it wont be until next week now. It will be on the website once it is here so keep an eye out for it. Hope your fishing is going well. Keep me posted 👍🎣😀
Brilliant as always mate! Good to see you back out enjoying what you do 👏🏼🎣 like the bit about fixed leads on heli leaders/rigs makes sense that to be fair.
Cheers Nat. Glad you enjoyed it mate. I've always thought that about Heli/ Chod rigs. Kind of defeats the object dropping the lead. Rules are rules though. 🎣👍😁
Hi Paul. Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed the vlog mate. The chaincore is exceptional stuff. It casts very well over short or long distance. Due to the weight of it, it straightens out nicely behind the lead in flight. I have never had any issues casting with it. 🎣👍😁
Hi how are things? I hope I don't disturb you. I am writing to you because I wanted to ask you one thing and that is why do you use braid to fish deep? I ask you this because here in Spain, which is where I am from, for carp fishing, monofilament is used even though I am a great defender of braiding but only for predators. I understand that for spomb it is the best even to fish for carp on the surface. I have seen several Englishmen who use braid ti fish in the surface, but for deep fishing, why? I await your response if it is not too much trouble and one last thing, keep making your videos because even though I have seen them recently I really like them and they are very good. Thanks in advance, sorry if I disturb you. All the best.
Good evening my friend from Spain. Firstly i would like to thank you for taking the time to ask this very good question. I am currently using braid on this water for 3 reasons. Firstly we are aloud to use braid mainline on JB pool. On many lakes here in the UK braid mainline is banned. Probably because fish can get damaged easier due to the lack of stretch in the line. This can cause people to play the fish harder and possibly damage the mouth. 2nd, Braid mainline is great for casting distance. Although i do not fish at long distance on JB pool, it is nice having the ability to do so if needed. 3rd and most important is, JB pool is very weedy and also has a lot of Lilly beds and underwater features. This can cause a problem when playing fish with mono. Mono will be more likely to get cut by the weed or Lilly stems which could result in a snagged fish or a tethered fish if your mono breaks. Braid mainline is more likely to cut through weed and Lilly stems meaning less chance of the above happening. Braid has more abrasion resistance than mono. I hope this answers your question? Thank you for watching the video. It's nice to know my films are spreading around the world. 😀🎣👍
@@ACarpyConnection Yes, that has answered my question and in fact thank you very much for answering so quickly. And one last thing, I imagine that it will be a much thinner diameter than what is normally used with mono so that it goes unnoticed? Again thank you very much for the reply. A cordial greeting and good fishing.
Great Vlog, Beautiful fish, lovely place great advice thanks.
