So we are in the the middle of january now, and i thought what better time to start my campaign on Redhouse than in the winter. I don’t have any other waters to fish this year so i guess its the best time to start my long awaited full on campaign.
Its notoriously difficult on here at the best of times, so to get a fish out of here in the winter would be a bonus. I have been holding out to do a full on campaign on Redhouse for many years. There has always been another lake playing a bigger part in my fishing. This year there is not so Redhouse is going to get 100% of my attention.
Join me on my first session back on the lake where i am just trying to get my bearings again after not visiting for a while. Multiple weather changes and even a big storm do not put me off wanting to come back for more.

Hi Rick. Yes Jan is a difficult month for not only the fish but us anglers who fish through out the winter. But it is also a good time to learn a lake. Usually no weed to deal with so easier to get a feel for the topography etc. I had forgotten how much i knew about the lake until i started to talk about it on the vlog. Thanks for watching mate. 🎣😀👍

Hi Bob. Thanks for your comment mate. Yes, i have noticed a difference over the past couple of weeks. Buds starting to shoot on the tress and more bird life etc. Still hard frosts i the mornings though but the fish are starting to show them selves a bit more now. 🎣😀👍
@@ACarpyConnection cheers, due to changing jobs last week I am now a weekend angler and club waters are busy , except 1 small lake , 1.5 acres, 6 swims but only 3 you could squeeze a shelter in , stock is unknown but know of 5 definitely in there a mid 20 common, a high double mirror and 3 mid double commons , did last Friday and no joy but its the challenge I like
That's the only issue with weekends, it gets busyer as the weather warms up. I'm really happy to be back on shifts. Loads of midweek fishing. Good luck out there though mate. 🎣👍😁

I remember watching your first vlogs from there, going to enjoy this series of videos, I normally river fish but this spring actually starting a carp campaign, days only on 2 club lakes, but some minters in there, (haven't done a proper carp campaign in 20 odd years at least) ,so been soaking up all the carp guys I follow on UA-cam ,bits of info etc, be a interesting year, good health and safe travels, cheers craig

Brilliant vlog buddy.. hope you winkle a few out..fished the place hard for the past 3 years.. I've had 23 carp out up to 34lb..I believe theres no more than 40 carp in redhouse a good hand full of desent boilies as worked best for me..good luck in your quest buddy..

Hopefully fishing midweek will avoid the crowds a little bit. I have always said around 30 to 40 carp in there. i have been told there are more but i will take it as i see it. Dry lines catch no fish..... My dad used to say this to me all the time growing up, mostly because I lacked the patience to keep a line in the water 😂 as I've got older this saying starts to echo in my head as the fishing season approaches.... And I've ignored it for years and years.....watching this I've decided that 2022, along with yourself, is the year to really start taking an interest again. Thank you. Get out and do it mate. Even if you just get a float rod out for a day session Roach fishing or something. It's good for mental health and well being 😁🎣👍

I am quite new to your channel. Came across it a couple of months ago. I used to fish a lot,all year round but lost my mojo a few years ago. Think I remember you saying in a vlog that you had lost yours also. Slowly getting it back and videos like yours have helped with that tremendously. The quality of the filming is stunning. Since starting back out I have moved to buying from Baitworks. Quality bait from my limited experience with it so far. Hi Darren, thanks ever so much for taking the time to comment. Yes, I did lose my mojo a bit towards the end of last year. It's been quite difficult trying to get back into my vlogs again. I have put so much work into my films and A Carpy Connection as a whole and I don't want it to go to waste. This year I find myself quite fired up to not only get back on top of my fishing and vlogs again but also to get a fish or two from Redhouse. I am happy to hear I have inspired you to get out again and relight your passion for this pass time we all love so much. You won't go to far wrong with the Baitworks bait. It gas given me so much confidence in my fishing. And that is a big part of being successful, confidence. Good luck mate and keep me posted with how you get on this year. 😁🎣👍

Hi Iain. The Monster red is a cracking bait all year round but i think it will come into its own during the colder months.. Not really used it much in the past. Not on its own anyway. I have it on good authority that it has done well in Redhouse in the past so it will be my main stay bait for the time being. Hopefully the Big commons like it. Thanks for watching. 👍😀🎣

brilliant vlog mate I have also just started on redhouse so will see u about I am sure. had a walk around with my wife yesterday to have a look hoping to see an odd show hear and there and note it down to build a picture of there locations but was far to choppy and windy i will doing a little mapping with the rt4 to hopefully help out. see u about mate

Hi mate. Thanks for your comment. JB pool was a nice water and yes it is a shame. I think Redhouse is going to be a bit more interesting though. 2 possibly 3 -40lb fish in there to. I love my 5000t's. So glad I moved over to them. They sound like Coffee grinders already but that's part of the charm I guess. There are plenty of 2nd hand sets out there mate if you don't want to pay for new. 😁🎣👍

Great honest vlog aa usuall good luck on there I fished there before I got my premium ticket had a few fishing mobile on there chasing them about but it was a lot less busier then... hope u get one of the crackers out of there mate ...and there defo not 150 carp in there ....but the rewards are worth the challenge . It's a nice place. It does get busy though. I only fish midweek so it's not so bad. I've not really fished it that much though really. The point is usually stitched up all the time. 👍😁🎣
