Nice review gentlemen I’ve been researching them
Religiously and this review was a good one.
Glad it helped. I'm also looking for a reasonably priced non abused copy; my son has mine and I miss it!
Outstanding review you guys. You make a great team. Now looking for one of these. Subbed
Glad you liked it! Thx for subbing.
My Fiestas got 300hp under the hood. The thing absolutely cooks.
I’d like to drive that!
There really is nothing like it (today) - mpg, fun, relative utility, temper expectations and on some days you'll feel that it's all you need. Thanks for making this review it's good to see a recent review show up.
I 100% agree. I sold mine to my son (in the review) and haven't replaced it yet. If I could find one with low mileage, not abused, and cheap. (like before COVID) I think I'd snap another one up.
Bought my fiesta st new back in 2016, I still have it, on almost 99k miles, 70k of which are as the mp215. honestly i've thought about getting something different, but the ST is just such a good drivers car, I can't bear to part with it!
only thing it ever needed until quite recently was a boost solenoid at around 50k, and the stock springs seemed to like to snap a lot, so i replaced them with some eibach, and just reecently I started replacing bushes with PU bushes, front arms rear beam and the spring isolators. Awesome car, Ford and similar are making a huge mistake killing these cars off
I actually am still searching for another ST, and prices are finally coming down from the Covid crazy pricing they were. However trying to find a nice sample is getting harder and harder. Seriously, the best bang for buck car I ever owned. At least my son can enjoy it!
Just got one in orange, and coming from a Fiesta Titanium, you can really feel the performance upgrade!
The molten is my person favourite. The way the gold flecks light up in the sun is pretty spectacular.
The recall issue had to do with a hotspot in the head, which would warp it in some of the '14 models. Later models had a revised head design that fixed the problem. '16 and later models have the Sync 3 system and will do android and apple. '17 and later models have revised suspension that rides a little nicer, but not much. '18 and '19s came with a backup camera.
Thanks for the details. Sure wish I had a sync 3 system in the 14. Were all the changes mentioned in USA and Canada? Canada always had only one trim level; loaded, where the U.S. had more decontented options.
@@CoolcarCrapcar Yes.
...I still have one with full equipment and frost white. I got it in exchange for a 1.6 Titanium in hot magenta - also with full equipment. But the difference between the two could hardly be greater, even if the Fiesta with 120 hp wasn't slow. But the Recaros alone, the chassis, springs and dampers and the fun factor are in a completely different league. And since Ford won't be making anything like this in the future, I'll probably drive it until it falls apart.
Oh it’s on a completely different level! I wish ford had brought the 3 dr. To North America as I think it looks more sporty and the back seats are pretty small to use a lot anyway.
you should only put premium in a turbo GTDI engine, and this car especially.
We certainly have.
Just got 2017st with 73000 miles should I use 93 octane or 89
Cool review I love my fiesta, all I can say is tune it, I got all my parts from whoosh. Ron is that man and had a bunch of cool parts.
I’ll keep that in mind if I pick up another one. I really liked it stock but more power seems like a good upgrade!
