  • Antarctica's Thwaites glacier is known as the "Doomsday Glacier." It alone has contributed to four percent of the global rise in sea levels. The glacier is melting rapidly, and scientists sent a robot beneath it to understand why. Palki Sharma tells you more.

How comes this news channel never reported that Antarctica had its coldest recorded temperature last year?

Move to higher ground, same thing humans did for 200,000 years.

The sealevel is not rising by 4.5 mm every year. That is a lie. Also, Antarctica has gotten colder in the past 40 years, and not just a tiny bit! If there is warm water under the galcier, something is changed in oceanflows or maybe a change of wind direction. The same as we have in Europe since 30/32 years now.

"The sealevel is not rising by 4.5 mm every year. That is a lie" No it's you who is lying Troll. It was 4.1 mm / year 2010-2020 and it's increasing.

Totally false and deceiving nickname given to it by climate alarmists, it's only 120 km wide - nothing compared the size of the planet. And it's summer down here in the southern hemisphere, ice always melts this time of year.

The "metre" at 3:22 is grossly incorrect. Pity they can't manage to get the science reasonably correct. It's 645 mm for the entire glacier. It's well known.

If they dig the ocean deeper it will make more volume for the water and reduce sea level rise.

I was always taught in high school a long time ago that the earth always goes through glacial and non glacial times. That ice hasn’t always been there. We’re still in an ice age right now.
