As a first-time travel trailer purchaser, I'm glad I recently discovered Alliance (and the new smaller/cheaper/lighter weight Delta line) and I'm really very impressed by everything I'm seeing/learning about Alliance/Delta, but I can't for the life of me understand (other than cost savings to get to a price point perhaps) why the brothers are sticking with leaf springs instead of a better torsion suspension?
Thank you for the tour of your facility, greatly appreciated. I do have a few questions. 1. Does your quality control system record any "critical point" inspection data at each work cell, and do you use that data to augment your “Relentless Improvement” programs? 2. If that data is collected and recorded for each individual unit (VIN# traceability), is it retained for longevity & performance evaluations or in-service failure analysis, once again to augment the Relentless Improvement program? 3. Do you have defined corrective action procedures if a quality inspection issue is discovered during the assembly process? 4. Do the assembly line craftsmen have an open avenue to suggest and possibly implement ideas for improvements in both product quality and assembly line procedural processes? Thanks again from an old retired heavy industry "workhorse".
Finally got a chance to take a look at the Alliance Delta travel trailer. The main line on the water pump was flex tubing the appeared to be plumbed incorrectly. 😢 Decals on the outside were pealing off. Although the furniture was super comfortable to sit on, the appliances, countertops and cabnetry seemed really cheap. We were willing to up our price range to purchase the Alliance quality. Now we are not so sure about the quality seeing it first hand. 😢
Thank you for sharing this!! It's really cool to see how and where things are made. ☺

I really was thinking about Alliance but this has me 2nd guessing our upgrade. Grand Design has taken great care of us.
What makes you hesitate ?

What is the composite you mention on the flooring?
I was thinking of Alliance for our next upgrade but this really has made me hesitant.
@@crodriguez8228 May we ask why?
What makes you hesitate ?
Can I order custom built? I don't want sofa, but I need to place big table.
@마-칭구아이가 Unfortunately we do not do customizations from the standard features and options which can be found per Floorplan on our website.
Where is this plant located
All of our plants are located in Elkhart Indiana.
TPO is NOT rubber based...EPDM is. TPO can also be patched just like PVC but using a different solvent.

PEX plumbing lines are used wherever possible. It is code that a flexible line (not PEX) must be used at the water pump to help with vibration.
TPO is not EPDM. This is false advertising.
