"If you feel the Pencil is trying to kill you, please contact one of our sales associates." lol! Nice work with those repros. Did the Oliver Co. make their own pencils, or were you expected to just throw any random Ticonderoga in there?
@@supermario326 it is really of no consequence. You can make a minor lowercase adjustment to get the letter onto the correct portion of the platen. I don't think it is bad, it still prints, it is still legible. If the client wishes to pay to adjust a fraction of fading on the text then that is their decision, not mine.
If the client wanted perfect print, it would need a new platen, that would even out the impression from Ill fitted type slugs a lot easier than resoldering each one that is off. Notice how some letters print fine? If you have ever serviced one of these, you know build quality varies greatly. A platen would have made a massive difference but it would have cost a lot too. It already cost a lot to get this machine from a rusty found condition to working
cool retro futuristic stuff
As featured in the film Naked Lunch.
Yours is missing my favorite feature, the pencil holder.
Not my machine, but I love that feature too. I sell the pencils for it. Www.lucasdul.com/typewriters

@@phillipford2216 oliver made their own pencils, many different kinds. This is kind of a blend.
I want one of these so badly, sadly there aren't too many in Poland
Same as the US, mi amigo
Awesome looking typewriter.
My grandfather had one of these which I used in grade school.. Glass key covers.
Must have been the newer British model after the original company went bankrupt
very nicely rebuilt! (:
tengo una oliver con un problema parecida a la del video, marca media tipografia, como se regula?
I'm not sure which problem you refer to, if there is a typing issue you'll probably want to take some time and straighten out the type bars.
