Same way you removed the screen to swap? I have a 2012 that has a cracked display and want to swap it with a working one I have

Ok fixed it but I did the internet recovery mode
Took me all the way back to lion :(
Is there a easy way to get to Catalina or do I have to download all these versions in order
This ssd I wiped it out clean, I wish I didn’t do that
I had the flashing folder ? So I had the use internet recovery
Any suggestions on how to skip all these and out Catalina on here
