Just installed the conversion and I absolutely love it. This combination of products provides many different adjustments to tinker with to make it perfect for your individual preferences.
Just installed this kit (on the trigger - haven’t messed with the striker springs yet) and it is AWESOME. The Timney definitely improved things, but there was still a lot of travel after the initial wall, with several friction points (secondary “walls”) between that and the break. Now, it’s a vey definite wall and minimal creep to the break with virtually no other discernible friction points between the wall and the break. Plus the tiny amount of reset distance now. Amazing.
I would like to thank you for producing this kit! I ordered both the Timney trigger and the combat kit at the same time! Your parcial arrived first by almost two weeks but we’ll worth the wait. This made my 19 exactly what I wanted it to be! Thank you Johnny again!
Johnny; Anything you say is cool. You don't need a send off! Idk a person alive that has the in depth knowledge of the entire glock system like you do! Great stuff, keep it coming PLEASE
The HSP Skimmer trigger is my fave carry trigger. It’s all oem glock, just polished and some kind of magic. I think it’s a 4# pull. It’s very easy trigger to get out of, if situations change. I’m going to try your trigger on my next build. Excellent channel, excellent content! Thanks for the well-produced, educational content. Subbed.
Johnny, I gotta tell ya… You are The Man! I’ve had so many near-death experiences while trying to find answers in the murky waters of this UA-cam world, but you are a lifesaver. I mean it. Your intelligence and attitude set you well above the rest. Thank you.
Mr. Johnny G, I've carried the Timney Alpha trigger in my G45 for over at least a year. Breaks at 3 lbs and completely safe. With single action or light triggers it's trigger discipline that is the key. That goes for all firearms triggers. The trigger is only touched when you intend to crank a round off. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. I would recommend this trigger to only highly skilled pistol handlers. Thanks for the great knowledge Sir. I've got 30K+ through my Glock Timney trigger with zero issues or malfunctions. Thanks brother!
The combat/edc trigger you did for me is unbelievably useable and safe. I think it was 3-1/2+ lbs. i love it. My wife shot it for the first time after a S&W EZ9 and her G2C and after her 2nd shot i could see the smile and snugly feeling come over her. Lol. She shot it better than her own gun. Instant improvement for any shooter. And I truly mean that! 🙏🏼
The issue I have with my Timmney Alpha trigger is the break is very weak if I don't fully release the trigger between shots. Had two negligent discharges as I was lining up a follow up shot. They still went downrange, no danger to anyone, but too light for me to feel safe carrying it on my side. Ordered your combat conversion after watching this video, and look forward to it.
This is so gerius and the concept is so simple. Cant wait for mine to come in! I have yet to receive it but one suggestion, if you don't need to lift the housing to adjust, you should also add a modified slide cover plate so we can dial it in without having to remove the slide. Maybe there is enough space already idk, have to wait and see!
Hi, went to your page and sure enough could not find this conversion kit to reconfigure the Timney to a combat trigger. Please advise on how to go about it... Thanks!
I'm leaning towards getting one for my Glock 45 which I don't carry since I'm in one of those states but I think for range/home defense it's a non issue.
On the timney, the only thing holding the sear in place is the sear spring...Have you tried to place a dummy round in it with masking tape on the primer...hold the barrel and slam the grip with a fully loaded (dummies for weight and momentum) on the table like a hammer to make the sear drive down under inertia...will the striker fall and more importantly if it does will the striker block keep the primer from being dented?
This looks VERY interesting to me. I have a Shadow Systems MR920 WPS and I love everything about it...but the trigger leaves a bit to be desired. This could make it perfect.
I have the XR920, love it but the trigger is ok but not the best that could be but the issue is that I don't feel like spending $200+ for an aftermarket trigger when the pistol already cost $800+
@@chgofirefighter Same. Have an XR as well. I got it to improve by watching another of Johnny’s vids. ua-cam.com/video/kxtz95lWRvU/v-deo.html The connector was both gummed up with antisieze (don’t get why they apply that thick stuff on the connector) was pushing out a bit too far causing the part of the bar that touches it to rub on the inside of the frame. It’s much better, but still not as good as a stock Gen5 trigger.
Hey Johnny, just picked up the kit. Should I throw the red spring that Timney recommends when using an aftermarket connector, etc? Please let me if you got a sec. Thanks, Johnny!
I think people are concerned about drop safety with the Tinmey in terms of Timney's silver metal peice that catches the striker, only because it's spring loaded. As if, inertia from a drop can overcome the spring beneath the silver metal sear catch. When I say silver metal catch, I'm referring to the silver metal peice that sits in their red metal housing. Is there any way to disassemble that portion to install a stronger spring?
Did the kit tonight, good wall, clean break but my reset is shit, just like you showed the stock timney. It would be handy to know how to fix this instead of keeping it a "mystery"

can a locking block cause a Glock to shoot off center, meaning I would have to move rear sight to get poa/poi or could it be the slide lock lever, American gen3 17,I fired a gen4 upper on my frame I don't know if that caused the problem but my rear sight cannot be centered for hits it has to be drifted to the right, using trijicon HDs,was the same with tru glos
I put one in and it was not working properly it was sticky and then I noticed that it was really tight and grinding on the connector so istarted to bend it to alíviate some pressure then it was completely un functional so I had to lock back the slide and remove the firing pin to take apart the slide again bent it back a little more and presto perfect has strong wall no grind but if you have trouble 9/10 it’s the connector I ordered a ghost edge connector Yee Yee see how it functions then
Is the Timney Trigger drop safe from factory? If I recall from one of Johnny's other videos. It is not fully drop safe, but with his modifications, it is drop safe?
Nice video! just acquired this trigger. New to glocks. What were you dialing in at the end to reduce the over trigger at the end of the video? Thank you!
Awesome Johnny Glocks do you have a video of the install of your combat conversion kit with the alpha trigger luv the hard wall I have the Alpha trigger on my 19X the wall is light great trigger looking to get your conversion kit 🤙🏽
Johnny, you did a video of your son’s Glock (22 cal I believe) which was experiencing binary fire issues. My question is this, was that specific to that weapon or is this a more common issue? My concern is this. If the trigger is in the rear position after a discharge and it’s moving to the reset position, is the firing pin safety in a “battery” position that if a binary discharge happens, the weapon will fire a live round. This is important for me to know. I believe the answer is yes and that’s why I haven’t invested in a Timney trigger with your combat carry mod. Would love your input. Thanks
Could the gun fire if dropped exactly upright on the base of the grip, with the down force overcoming the spring tension on the sear engagement?Seems like it could fire without the trigger being pulled.
Do you think set screws are safe to use on carry guns? Seem like they could eventually back out over time...especially if it’s a metal screw in plastic (which may be the case-I don’t know how it works).
I'm a bit confused, is the demo you did showing us the stout wall and short reset how the trigger comes from Timney or after it is sent to you for modification?
Hey I tried 10 different connectors and one particular connector that I have 2 of consistently would release the striker on the pull and the reset. What causes that? Both of this particular connector did it in 2 different guns so I dont think it was a fluke. This was in dry fire I didn't try it with ammo.
Again it's about the individual and training. I don't have any bang ups about lite pull on a trigger. Again it's you train with what you feel comfortable with. 2-3 lb is perfect for me on carry. It's the bogger picker that you must control and are responsible for. And if your in a situation where you pulled your firearm then pulling the trigger is what is next.
ok just take my $$... currently have the JG combat (flat face) trigger and love it. however "the wall" has diminished a bit and it's more of a rolling break now. prob have about 2k rounds on the trigger
I have seen a video of someone with the same problem . He polish the top of the cruciform because the striker was dragging it a bit. after that he didnt had any problems.
