  • K-Control was named after one of Neil's coaches, Karo Parisyan. In this video, Neil shows how he uses his K-Control position to take the back, based on his opponent's forward pressure. Neil discusses the importance of working off the pressure your opponent is feeding you versus trying to force what you want on your opponent.

    This was great to see. Mastering triangles in one of the greatest technique books ever written, by the way. I started trying to use K-control a lot after reading it, but eventually I ran into ALL of the troubleshooting issues you brought up in this video. It makes a lot more sense now. Thanks again!

    Ended up in a messed up half guard during a scramble last week and realised K control was right there. Id only watched this video once and managed to get a messy version of this back take (the leg that was underhooked I threw over and then kicked both my opponents legs away so they ended up sat upright in front of me). I'm now giving it another watch so I can perfect it as I was sceptical on my first watch but it seems to work!

    Love this guy he s honnest straight clear 👊👊 OSS (..."it's jerky it's mean"..."it's not gone be 1 2 technique you have to be aggressive"... "there s lot of movement it's no straight"...)

    Whats nice about this position is that you don't need to throw the second hook in. You can figure that bottom leg and go for the choke. The back control with the figure four doesn't allow them to get to the floor and the control is incredible.

    but cant the top person just twist his hand out??

    • @luiscollazo2762
      @luiscollazo2762 4 роки тому +1

      You have to pin it against him and keep the pressure so your opponent can’t twist the hand out. As soon as you get the cross grip, go for the pin.

      Also, he could just stand up before it progresses that far.
