Theres definitely something wrong with the engine TVR isn't known for its reliability thus it's probably got a decompression issue or what on the engine because the motor trend or old review of TVR'S are actually super good and devil fast
Something definitely seemed off with the suspension or tyre setup, as I have never had tyres rubbing on the body of my Tuscan. It is a different body but the chassis is basically the same. I do have Nitron suspension on mine though, plus a modified 4.5L Straight Six engine which is crazy.
I cracked up laughing watching the owner strap up his helmet in the middle of the lap and seeing his reaction once he got it strapped up was even better lol
@@Dukes3677 sometimes it won't work. Then you have to screw the numberplate holder off and pull a cable behind it to remove the rear window. Then you can crawl into the car and open the door again.🫣🫣🫣

love my T350C. Sagaris is my dreamcar. Put in some Nitrons, make a proper alignment and it drives properly. Absolutly crazy how long the way of the throttle pedal is - i tell everybody it`s some kind of traction control...
T350C is in my opinion best of the bunch. I owned mine about 20 years ago and drove it daily for 3 years and regretful sold it as I needed 2 extra seats. Never let me down and the only issue was a crack in the radiator. Always gave me a laugh and that included seeing if my passengers could work out getting out. .....oh and there was the tendency to not want to refill the car ithout clicking the petrol pump multiple times. My third TVR (previous owned a cerbera and chimaera). Enjoy it
@@chrisgoldsmith4397 refueling is a pain in the a.. indeed. Tank filler neck is kind a cool, but you have to do a carwash afterwards cause no matter how cautious you are, fuel will pour out all over the car... Love everything about it. It´s a keeper for sure.

The Sagaris is really the best of the TVR's, way more sorted and the build quality, fit and finish was way ahead of its predecessors. As an older bloke used to zero driver aids its a blast and I had the pleasure at Winton to fang around for 4 laps in one. They take concentration at speed and are twitchy as hell but mine was set up for track use and the pedal set was adjusted for it as well. I was invited by the owner to take it around Bathurst on a track day but couldn't make the date sadly but I felt it would excel in that track configuration. I fully understand why Mischa took it easy as its a handful :-)
It was as fast as a zonda around the top gear track. So its either misha or the particular car isnt set up right. From hearing the owner, it sounds like nothing has ever been refreshed. Bet he hasnt changed any bushings or refreshed the suspension.

My brother has four of 'em, from V6 Ford to V8 Rover to the straight six, and he's done the 'Ring', me jelous? , nah ... (he said lying as it costs me 950 quid for my modified insurance one one car, and he has all four on one policy for half that ) 😣

Month later (with new engine) again an oil light. This time it was the sensor. Doors that don't open, carbs out of sync, so undriveable when cold. Dashboard underlining that falls off, exhausttips that got loose every month. Awesome car, but a headache
Tell you what Misha, I’ll bring my cerbera speed six over. I’ve ditched the shit, heavy spider alloys seen on this, and my springs are 500 front, 400 rear and fully adjustable. Take that round.
from the RPM response to the throttle (especially last 10% throttle) i would suggest looking in to the cars ECU ... something is bothering the fuel mixture ... it looks like it is not running with optimal spark timing or something in this ball park thumbs up for the owner and Misha, great content and really nice to see such car in for a hard drive

1:49 I don't know if you're about to mention it, but the WEIGHT is key. It's not 410ps, it's 410ps in like 1100kg or something, maybe GT2 power to weight ratio. With no ABS, traction, etc... I really liked these cars. I had a MkIV Supra at the time making about 450ps but it couldn't keep up with my mate's Sagaris.
First time I've seen Misha scared of pushing a car to its limit. Says a lot about this car really, 400bhp with no ABS or traction control? That is wild.
I was driving home from the Nordschleife on the autobahn and one of these (or maybe it was a T350C) passed by me going the same direction. The sound was startlingly awesome. This video audio does it zero justice.
@mgcharoudin , TVRs were set up to be compliant on pot-holed English B roads without spitting their buyers into the hedgerows. I'd be interested to know how old those shocks are, too. It's pretty unsurprising that id didn't feel stable on track. There are owners who do set their cars up to be more track oriented. I for one would love to see you driving a lap in one of those cars. Nevertheless, i really enjoyed you dropping this video a couple of days after i was wishing for a TVR on your channel.
How will a helmet protect you? Depends. If you oversteer a corner and smack into a guardrail, you could very well hit your head on the doorframe. Lost a friend in 1995 to that very same scenario. He was only going 30mph by the time of the impact.

Love all of the TVR models! Trevor was an absolute maniac and his dedication to bespoke craftsmanship is legendary! There are some tasteful upgrades that should be done to some of them in my opinion but there's nothing else like them!
That engine sounds amazing and the car itself looks great and is fairly contemporary looking even now. I reckon if that Misha had felt more comfortable, it would be one of the fastest cars on the track that day. I hope he can get the suspension upgraded at some point and he brings it back for round two! 400+ hp in something that light is always going to be special.
Wonder how it would have done with better suspension tuning? You could tell he was waiting for the car to settle before getting on the throttle a lot of the time. But when his foot was in it, that pull was epic.
My Tuscan S has been to the Nurburgring twice and once by myself. I’d love to see what Misha could wring out of it…. Suspension has had a full geo, new, healthy Goodyear F1 tyres. It’s optimally setup and blows nice cold aircon 😊

True british petrol head, TVR will never die for me. They were developed like crap and required race driver control but they are absolutely phenomenal cars.
A little bit like AlfaRomeo, every TVR has its own unique bit of not-working-properly. In this Sagaris, it was the aircon. Sadly, in most Cerberas and Griffiths, it's the engine. Or the transmission. That straight-six sounds great, though!
Haha reminded me of cold damp track day at knockhill when a sagaris would not move over for me, maybe the thought of letting an old man in a Saab pass was to embarrassing 😂 thankfully he finally went into the pits. I just hope he never went to Nurburgring
The suspension was set too soft, the sound was the tyres rubbing in the wheel arches. Hindsight is a great thing, but a full geometric setup done prior to this would have given Misha greater confidence and yield with the car optimised a faster and more thrilling lap than we saw here.
My dad was at the ogp with his Tuscan and I was begging him to offer you a ride. Great to see that you got to drive a tvr! As soon as ours has its new engine and everything runs smoothly again I will definitely talk my dad into offering you a ride!!!

My straight 6 is 4,2 lt. It delivers 273bhp to the wheels. I don't know what tvr did and this is a 407hp.
On paper, in reality it does not seem very fast

The Sagaris is notorious for the floppy bonnet lid, and as much as I love my V8 TVR, the sound of a Saggy straight pipe is something else.

It's really nice that over years of me watching Misha, but barely driving on the track, I can now see when and how is respecting the cars/track.

TVR is like Keanu Reeves of automotive industry.... even through bad acting everyone loves it because it's such a sweetheart and outstanding.
This is a dream car from Grand Turismo 2 as a kid. But it might be a "don't meet your hero" car.
TVRs can be lethal especially in wet weather. Misha taking care as he picked up on the handling characteristics of the car.

Not often the transmission, the T5 gearbox is a strong unit.

It sounded like it was bottoming out. Definitely weird noises we don't usually hear. Need to check tires lol I think they might have some wounds.
The suspension was set too soft, the sound was the tyres rubbing in the wheel arches. Hindsight is a great thing, but a full geometric setup done prior to this would have given Misha greater confidence and yield with the car optimised a faster and more thrilling lap than we saw here.

Look at the Maserati Tipo 60 and 61 with their slant fours. I think they're laid over at 45 degrees. Lowers the hood line and the cg.

Yeah this seems like a guy who doesnt know much about cars , owning a couple, and not realising when they need sorting out. That car isnt running right (sagaris are way faster than that) nor handling correctly.
I’m sure the aircon in a Sagaris can blow cold as well as a Tuscan. Probably needs a regas or there is a small leak.
