WOW!!! this is amazing and i'm super glad you were able to recover it! hell yeah. the energy from the crowd is pure midwest hardcorps! when da funk hits at 3:52...few things are like that moment in time. this is why people don't shut the fuck up about even furthur 1996. dbn eternal.
This footage contains ~14min of new footage prior to the starting point of the previous footage: ua-cam.com/video/NL4lHwjX9pM/v-deo.html 14:04 is where the two footages duplicate.
Was right up front for this one. The crowd energy was so insane. The sound was so new and exciting people screaming at every turn. "On Memorial Day weekend, 1996, electronic music history was made on a muddy, rain-soaked Wisconsin campground. Two young humans known together as Daft Punk - who ultimately would become far more famous in robot guises - played their first American show. The soggy, chaotic setting was the 1996 Even Furthur, the third installment of the infamous Furthur outdoor festival and campout series thrown by Milwaukee rave producers Drop Bass Network. Daft Punk touched down at Eagle Cave Campground not only before their debut Homework was released the following year, but before anyone in the Midwest aside from a few DJs knew who they were at all. Drop Bass leader Kurt Eckes - along with his Furthur promoting partners, Minneapolis’ Woody McBride and Chicago’s David J. Prince, founder/editor of Reactor zine (and onetime SPIN staffer) - knew they’d scored a coup, though time would show precisely how much of one it was."
in reality, if they did come back and tour again, none of their real fans would be able to go because the tickets would be so outrageously expensive, and it would just wind up being a bunch of rich pricks waving their phones around trying to record everything instead of what the crowd at a daft punk concert should be, like how they were in this video.
First American show 1996 Rainy outside festival in Wisconsin, they used to have a big hardcore scene then, and those people don’t know how lucky they’re are. Guy man was also present to Thomas’ right. Went on to record to back to back master pieces
I just fucking came. That's the closest to experiencing that night I'll ever get. You can feel the vibes flowing thickly through a 25 year old youtube vid. PROPS also FUCKING THANK YOU DROP BASS NETWORK FOR THROWING THE BEST SPACES
I always loved the original found footage of this that was floating around for years and I am so happy this was recoverable footage. I never thought I'd see another angle of this party. This is as close as we will get to a time machine. Incredible.
Yep, they are all original. As you can imagine the tape got watched a lot from 1996 to about 2001. Then it lived in a box for about 20 years. The glitches came with the digital transfer.

LEGENDARY NIGHT. This road trip to Wisconsin was everything.
in reality, if they did come back and tour again, none of their real fans would be able to go because the tickets would be so outrageously expensive, and it would just wind up being a bunch of rich pricks waving their phones around trying to record everything instead of what the crowd at a daft punk concert should be, like how they were in this video.
They mastered the art of knowing when to stop. Only the greatest artists are able to recognize when they’ve said everything that they wanted to.
@@wm48512they should've stopped after the first album if that were the case. Everything after Homework was bilge
First American show 1996 Rainy outside festival in Wisconsin, they used to have a big hardcore scene then, and those people don’t know how lucky they’re are. Guy man was also present to Thomas’ right. Went on to record to back to back master pieces
We’re still here! Saw them in Chicago 97 at a $10 party
13:43 Revolution 909 live version starts
Legendary song
"thomas les aigus bordel"
In the beginning there was jack
and Jack had a groove. And from this groove came the groove of all grooves,
@@SilentGloves this is correct.
@@SilentGlovesAnd while one day viciously throwin’ down on his box Jack boldly declared, let there be house.

Are the video glitches a part of the original recording or is that an edit?
Yep, they are all original. As you can imagine the tape got watched a lot from 1996 to about 2001. Then it lived in a box for about 20 years. The glitches came with the digital transfer.
