They decided to release them as an album thru Virgin Records and held the daftendirektour throughout '97. At the beginning of the tour, not many people knew who they were. With the release of Homework and the success of it, by the end of the tour, more than 45% of the crowd knew who they were. Pretty cool!

I ended up moving to Europe in my twenties when euro dance music hadn’t hit America fully yet. Daft Punk was ground breaking in the 90s born from their own love of the Chicago House sound and really started the electronic dance music scene world wide. Interstella(r) geniuses!

smol bean it was their first live US performance ever. They spent about a year in Chicago learning from the house pioneer s of the late 80’s and early 90’s. That is why the albums they release was called “Homework”. They were doing their homework learning from the very best. They even have track called “Teachers” on that album. It is an awesome track actually.
