I had no idea how many samples were from generic sample cds
Thats all it was back in the 90s, wait till you see Hideki Naganuma's work
Hadaway used a vocal from that same CD lol.
@@alphalax7747 "Thats all it was back in the 90s" ????
Nah.... Clearly just from watching this video alone you can see that's not true........ HipHop, House, Hardcore, Jungle, Techno; there was loads of vinyl being sampled..
@@alphalax7747that is most definitely not true, but i agree that hideki naganuma is a genius when it comes to flipping sample records
This is the best recreation of high fidelity yet. Congrats, Pal.
Too generous 🥹
@@vinizius_samplesYTwhen's 2024 ed?
Truly amazing!!! 🤯 @@vinizius_samplesYT
"fresh" is pretty awesome too! 😍
My god these videos of breaking down samples make me respect and love Daft Punk even more
Ok the sampling is really cool but can we talk about the editing of this video? Absolutely incredible :)
Too much generous 👏🏻
Its actually funny how Daft Punk used "High Fidelity" as the name of the song because when they joined the samples they got from Billy Joel's voice, it sounded like he was saying "High Fidelity"
Absolute Genius
it’s similar to the case of “face to face” where house at pooh’s corner when he says “christopher ro-” it kind of forces the listener to hear “face to face now”, which follows the last vocal chops which sound like “you” and “are” respectively! it’s really cool how they subtly do that
I always thought that ever since I listened to the song.
what? it sounds NOTHING like "high fidelity" - to my ears at least 🤣🤣
@@procrastfor me the samples make it sound like "a, be-e-tree" so it's fun to make it sound like 'high fidelity'
I know they edit the yellow loop at one point and make it sound like he’s saying “Daft Punk” over and over again
High fidelity is a Masterpiece.
The percussive toms in “Burnin’” is from MJ and Captain EO. You hear it when you see it.
Which sound from burnin’?
Always impresses me the way certain artists take individual syllables of vocal samples and manage to create other words from them........ That's some next level listening tight there.
Elton John and Billy Joel on the same album, delightful.
And also Prince and Barry White.
me just going "well thats just bloody ridiculous" and smiling, the level of genius displayed by daftPunk is just unreal
Wow! So that final part of the third loop was actually sampled from "The Stranger"??? I always thought that was Daft Punk saying "Break".
I thought same before this video
Yeah me too, "DJ Break"
New bandstand
I'll stay humble 🤣
You finally got the “brink” sample! Good job!
Sampling Prince?! That's bold and amazing!
You should check the end of Georgio Moroder "From Here To Eternity" at around 5'20, the choir sings the synth lead covered by Daft Punk in Da Funk ;)
Huh? I don't hear it.
That's a major stretch. It doesn't even have the melody or tonality.
@@donahuea ua-cam.com/video/qTFEyFEu1Fk/v-deo.htmlsi=t0qdtJvnD2s_j62q&t=320 the choir is singing a melody very very close to the synth lead in Da Funk. You don't have it? just sing it and compare. Peace
Amazing people can find these samples. Truly incredible!
Love it when I see the samples
Video edition and High Fidelity sample discovery are absolutely awesome man, keep going please, HF is my new favourite song thanks to you.
It's a pleasure ahah 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Its nearly as complex as face to face
High Fidelity is my favorite song from homework so nice to see all the samples here amazing work!! 💕

So many samplezz ,
Ce sont des génies c'est tout !!!❤
Брат, огонь!!! Продолжай!!!
High Fidelity is Face to Face before Face to Face
i thought the same thing
I love knowing where they get samples from
Wow these samples are genius
Damn I didn't know they sampled something in alive like wow
amazing
I'm beginning to think The Hollywood Edge Sound Effects Library is the most sampled album of all time.
That was excellently entertaining. I knew that they used samples but where the samples came from I find surprising. Not that they're bad or that they're weird just never knew that they sampled Elton John for example, and I'm a bit of a Elton John fan. Thank you for making this video.
Fresh is by far my favorite on the album. It takes me away man.
So High Fidelity track is the Face2Face of this album , brilliant
No wonder the most complicated songs are my favorite, I had no idea high fidelity was so complicated, but it always scratches the best parts of my brain every time I listen to it :D
always thought that the sample in revolution 909 was jump by kriss kross, well i was wrong, amazing job!
Interesting take on how to do the variation in Revolution 909. I did a recreation when the sample was discovered and it was not as accurate as yours.
How the fuck could you find all this.. Incredible job !
R909 drum loop is also from somehwere. Its been used in many tracks (like Chers Believe as biggest example)

good job with Fresh Song
Hi Friends, fround a sample they took to make ALIVE,It s from Real Mc coy. ,One more Time,,Jay ray mix😍
high fidelity is art
A minute of silence for all the fellas that in all these years have tried to prove that the sample of Revolution 909 was taken from Kris Kros, or Chic.
Including me 🤣
“Down there to the right.”
sei un fenomeno, lavoro incredibile
Grazie mille 🤙🏻🤙🏻
dear god and i thought future funk artists had precise sampling techniques, there will never be another like daft punk
Hey, how do you make these awesome visuals? Is there something like a tutorial? I would love to also make videos explaining some sampling of music
same here
Thank you for your work, you are again unbelievable ! Live it and I share it… never stronger and better than you man 🇧🇪🙏
You oooh, nobody’s knows it! But you do!

@@vinizius_samplesYT How you do that! I’m52, and I lived with a lot of music, was dj, I recognise some samples but never as you!
@@rudyrudy6882 I use the site WhoSampled to find everything I need!
Around the world have samples too
Of all the Daft Punk sample videos , I’ve seen, I don’t think any of them had connected “Around the World” to an older song.
Grande vinizius ti seguo da che eri al parco del don
Mannaggia la zozza
Never thought Alive got a sample, that's nice.
I don't think it does. Alive is from the New Wave EP and considering that that was their first release, it would be risky to sample. Plus, it's possible to remake it using solely drums. Not saying it isn't sampled, but the sample is close.
Including that, it got rejected on WhoSampled, but then again Revolution 909...
daft punk
8:15 I really think it's their drums reversed, but I could also be wrong
Ah ! Someone got the Datafile samples right :-)
Did some songs not have any samples? Because some songs were left out
1:51 fun fact: the tv show lego ninjago also uses this
5:15 please eat.
90s kshmr pack
There is a missing bass sample in Da Funk
10:35 you didn’t have to play that much of the prince song
Otherwise
Fing amazing video
there are missing samples in the high fidelity recreation
I wrote in the video that I didn't find one, but I'm sure It's quite complete.
@@vinizius_samplesYT its more than just one sample and u are missing one from the stranger song, there is a video here on YT by DjPasta explaining it
@@samukmj Even if It was (and I'm not sure of it) you're talking about "missing sample(s)" when I maybe forgot one of 1/10 second. I'm human after all 😉
@@vinizius_samplesYT yeah but if u are making a video, then take the time to do it well and when u are sure it’s correct, you upload it
@@samukmj I watched every single video on YT to helping me, you don't know how much time I take for this crap, and I think with all possible humility I did one of the best HF recreation at all..
10:23 indo silver club released in 1996 and not 1997
1:18 and da funk released in 1995
(Alive technically released in 1994 but its a different version)
Yes I know (The New Wave is the first Alive version 🤩), but I then chose to put Homework year
Why Da Funk is in First?
JOE AND TERESA HAVE BEEN GONE FOR AN HOUR ‼️
You Forget the Best sample of them all!?!?!?! FUNK AD?!?!?!!
(Literslly just da funk backwards, both the song and tbe name)

It didn’t do Around The World
unpopular opinion but I feel like they did too much with High Fidelity. the sample chops don't even sound melodic, it's just noise. they did this technique way better w Face to Face
That’s a very unpopular opinion, I think most people from the fanbase enjoy that track. Me personally, it’s one of my favorite from them BECAUSE of the sample and how they used it. There are not a lot of band who were meticulous and creative with samples, especially with just one in one track. I remember back in the day, I discovered a new tiny detail every time I listened to it. The structure, the filters and effects, the build up and the different changes throughout the entire track untill the very last second is what makes it one of my favorite DP, all albums included. And be able to do all of that without all the programs and easy tools we have today is mind blowing, same goes for other geniuses in other genre like Dilla, Madlib etc. Plus it’s just a banger, you throw that in any house party, the crowd gonna go crazy. Face to face might be even more crazier in term of sampling and creativity ! I love them both tho 🔥🔥
Agreed, but it was like it was training for when they eventually did Face to Face. Haha
really fucked up that the drum loops from dafunk not only are samples but taken from zero g sample packs
Cool tho. They used them creatively. Just 2 bars and looped effectively.
I have found the Around The World Sample and Also Probably Le Knight Club Holiday On Ice one the song from Roger Davy "Wake Up Suddenly" Starts At 00:54 Here is The Link of the song ua-cam.com/video/drGQQUvu6XA/v-deo.html
please please stop adding beeps and tv noise when cutting its very annoying and this is supposed to be about good music
I use different transitions to enrich the editing, and let people know when I introduce new samples for the same song or samples for a new song. Personally I think it's more annoying not to include them
@@vinizius_samplesYT it gives the video flavor but its very grating to the ears, tone down those beeps and tv noises at least -15db or just dont. Honestly its a weird artistic choice to interlace good music with shrills
@@en3525 Weird choise but it's mine
Слава Україні indeed
