I grew up in the 50s. This is some of the wisest information. We're the generation where family was a way of growing up. The Millenial and Gen Z'er generations aren't like us. They want to disconnect from us, from family, and from tradition. They blame us for everything wrong in their lives. Even the way they were brought up. We may have sacrificed a bigger home, or a new car just so they could have that college education, but all they say is, "That's was your choice, not mine!" It's a MUST that WE VALUE and RESPECT OURSELVES FIRST !
1. Don’t react in anger. Pause and reflect. 2. Rebuild Your Own life. Find a new purpose. 3. Communicate your feelings wisely. I’ve been thinking about you. I miss you. 4. Set healthy boundaries. Focus on my own well-being. Respect. Must go both ways. 5. Lead by example. Be kind, respectful and warm. Ask about their lives. Be patient. Quiet dignity. Treat your children the way you want to be treated. 6. Stay financially independent. Don’t become a burden on your family. Take charge of your own life. 7. Forgive them. Stay happy and fulfilled in what brings you joy. Don’t forget your own worth. 8. Build a new circle of companionship. Loneliness leads to emotional dependence.
Confession as a Catholic Names do hurt you but our Lord loves us and I turned to Jesus because He will always love me He knows me and my needs A good good cry helps with humility God bless you
"Feeling ignored by your children? Take a deep breath. This powerful strategy will help you turn things around while staying calm and in control. You’re stronger than you think!"
Did she realize how this impacts elders who are in poverty when she says your children will respect you when they see you have financial independence ?
She is your daughter. You aren't the first person in the world to yell. Or to make mistakes. Follow the advice. Never push. Make a life for yourself in the meantime. We can't make someone love us and treat us with respect.
Theynare always complaining they need money retired we are not rich but lay for what we can for them shemos single rents wont live with is we pay for what we can for her not easy we are in our 70 s
