We sold our Y62 and have ordered a Raptor. The Y62 is a bloody great car but dated. Really excited for the Raptor... Can't remember the last time I felt this way about a car!

The TTv6 makes these things absolutely awesome. It’s a great package overall when you consider the suspension, power and 4wd abilities. I’m keen to see what is released to the US market. It’ll be interesting to see if it comes with larger tyres considering the raptor broncos

Yeah they do fit with minimal work. I’m not a fan of wheel spacers. I think you’d be close to making them work on the standard wheel offset. I think a 9” wide +30 offset wheel would be the best option

Thanks mate. Is the EU version still TTv6 petrol or does it have one of the diesel options? I think spring lifting it would. Damo is going to put a 1” strut spacer in the front. To keep all the factory sensors happy in the fox shocks. The raptor doesn’t have bump stops and the strut leg is thick and over engineered so it should be right. These nittos are noisy mainly because they are about 50% worn. When they’re new they are reasonably quite for a mud tyre. The KO2s are really quite, most ATs are these days.

@@RaptorDecalsMaster mate it’ll be fine. Looking at the front I’d say 1” spacer is the go. With the way the fulcrum works on the LCA I’d say it’ll achieve somewhere around 30-40mm of lift and that will get it sitting level. And It won’t affect cv angles or anything like that. If you want to do 2” you’ll potentially have to do a front diff drop to balance out the increase. Either way putting spacers on top of the shocks will be the best option with these so it doesn’t affect how the live valve fox works

I just ordered my Ranger Raptor.. you thing a less aggressive tire tread pattern would fit without modifying the fender wells? I start cutting and pounding on a new truck and my misses would murder me.. 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 yeah I get that. Slightly smaller tyre or a slightly less aggressive offset will fit no issues. I’d go with a 295/70r18 this is around 34.5” and a +30 offset and it will be perfect

One more question, how much if so at all of a bother is it to access the lockers in the touch screen? People were complaining about having no physical button for lockers during the recent reveal but I was wondering how much of a hassle it is from a person who already owns a ranger raptor.

It can be done with strut spacers. Ideally resprung struts would be better. I’d say the high end shock shops will have something in the pipe line already
The valving seems ok and it still ride’s awesome. I do believe Mike shock shop are working on revalving for this next gen though so that may be a future update

When people understand the raptor is not a heavy towing 4x4 it's designed for of road performance and racing it's allready won the American desert race with no engine or suspension modifications that's what it does it's a mid size twin cab killer no competition. Pretty simple if u want too tow heavy stuff that's what the other models rangers are for
In NSW it is. It is within the allowed percentage increase. But keep in mind this is because of the factory 285/70r17 size that comes standard on the raptor ranger. On any other model new ranger it wouldn’t be legal . You’d need to check your state or territory’s legislation on it though✌️

They look good but rear suspension is low imo (shocks) what u reckon
It does seem a little low until you put it beside something lifted. And it works so well you don’t really worry about the height

It’ll be fine in the long run. Leveling would definitely have it sitting better. In all honesty I think a +30/35 off set would be better on the wheels

It’s only 2.5t they’re not really made as a tow rig. You’d be better with the v6 diesel ranger if you were looking to tow heavy things all the time
