what would you suggest for someonr that wants to just stick with the 33 inch tires? would you still level it? would you still replace the rack and tie rods?
Got 9236 miles on my ranger raptor. Savannah to moab and everywhere in-between. Conquered Hell's revenge with it stock. Might want to look into getting the trans bullet proofed. Mine has slipped 3rd 5 times already. Seems to only happen on light throttle but it shouldn't happen at all One thing that really needs changed is that 107 speed limiter. Thru Texas and New Mexico at 80 and 85 (90-95) speed limits there isn't much room for passing
Intercooler upgrade…tune! All that good engine upgrades next🤔Haha overall perfect clean nice build! Alll u need already💯can’t wait to see more of this ranger raptor build!
Man that leveling makes a huge difference and those are some outstanding upgrades. Would you care to share approximate cost to do these upgrades? Everything you did totally made sense to beef up the front-end. I'm about 900 miles into my new RR and I love it.
Everything you see in this video would probably run around $14k installed. I never put the price in the videos because as soon as I do, someone will probably change the price
I don't have a RR yet, ordering early 2025. I'm planning a build. I already know what to do cause i had a 19 Raptor, but the RR is something I've wanted since i knew about it.
So the first mod i want to do is keep it on 33s and level it out. Did i hear you right it needs to be the 2 incn perch collar for that, or is that for the 35s?
Well those parts are stronger but does that mean the other areas are more likely to break under that load that is way more expensive/important? I know companies make those parts the first line of breakage to save other parts.
For the ignorant one here.. (me. its totally me). When you add parts and all that jazz to all of the ford electronics, how do the different drive modes handle that? Do you have to install your own software to make up for it?
18:00 I was nearly sold on getting this truck over the Tacoma but then when TFL did their Moab test there were some really concerning things like the vehicle slipping on slopes and just falling down and being unable to climb up certain hills without engaging both front and rear lockers.
Look at it this way - with the ranger, you have everything you need mechanically to do all that rock crawlly stuff and with the tacoma, you have a really good software trying it's best to imitate what the ranger has 😃
@@nihontoman In the TFL video it slipped really bad on the rocks. It literally slipped off the edge of a drop on a decline. In that situation it was just a straight down drop, but it could easily cause the vehicle to roll over.
@@fiftyshadesofurban have not seen it, but slipping could also just be that - slipping. Maybe the tires didn't perform? What i want to say is, was it really because of some fault in the 4wd of the ranger?
Is there a link to the parts used? Since my Ranger Raptor is not in the USA, I need to bring parts. It would be great to get my RR here stateside but... I have not clue how to get it here.
Yes there is some minor trimming that needs to be done, but we didn’t in the video. Took it straight offroad and found ALL the rubbing areas. All behind the tire
How much do the parts cost to do this to the steering? I haven't seen anyone talking about this issue in australia, might need to get it done before im caught out, cheers
I have the old bazda bt 50 3.0Lt crdi same as ford ranger pk 2007 to 2010 and the tie rod ens are so fucking weak its been a real problem and i cant seem to find stronger after market tie rods.
Dang, ok thats how it should have come from the factory. 35s do the trick. A stock Raptor pulled up next to me the other day and it just wasn't that impressive looking. This thing would have me trading in my '21 Ranger lol
@@Exodus4x4 I'm not as rough on my truck but never seen anything like this for the gen5 Ranger. That rack is so dang nice. I was bummed to hear there are no gearing options for my Ranger outside of a diff swap. At least that is what APG told me.
Mate where to get the ford performance parts? I live in the UAE, is it possible for you to courier them here, couldn't find the parts online on ford's website.
Finally an off-road video at speed not crawling over rocks!! Love the Baja action!
This is the company id want building our Ranger Raptor

Raptor is King for this type of stuff.

I second this question.
13:43 This is the best ad ever for whatever stabilization tool is being used on that camera lol.
😂 to be fair the truck is pretty smooth, but the GoPro12 did its job
The Ford Performance oil catch cans would be a good idea, as well.
Why didn’t they just make all eco boost with these ?

Good info. I know SunCoast has some kits that will do that, I’ll reach out to them!
Throttle limiter sucks but they do it because that’s the top speed the OEM tires are rated for

I’m a practical man what is this 2024 Ranger Raptor Bullet Proof modification going to cost the “Practical Man”?
It’s a “budget build” first thing he pulls out is a yoked steering shaft and billet links. 😅
The UCA is a mortgage payment.
I don’t mind doing an upgrade but I’d wish he’d comment so I could know a ballpark figure and go to his shop and get it done.
@@manuelgarcia9790 Typical tire kicker, if you have the money and are interested call the shop for a quote. It would literally take you 2 min.
Kick ass video, thoroughly enjoyed it 🤙 At 3,000 miles on mine and been giving her hell. Can’t wait to tune it

Does that include wheels/tires?
@@pcoakle1 Thanks! I got my answer. Thats do able. I can work a little overtime and then plan on a visit for an upgrade!

Does the new steering roack/tie rods void Ford's warranty? Awesome work!!
Well looks like I got my parts list! Awesome video and amazing build, see you guys in Texas soon
With the 3.0 how are you dealing with the drive modes in the ranger raptor? Sport, normal ect! Is the 3.0 able to work with the programming?
Would a 35 inch tire fit with a 17x8.5-10 offset wheel?
Amazing, any cutting required for the 35's? Got 35's on mine with 2" spacers and they rub on the inside.
For sale 2022 Gladiator- Looking for a Raptor! 😂😢😢😂 Awesome Video and build..
Tire sledge hammer works too. As long as you don’t hit your wheel bad enough to damage it.

The market doesn’t support it

Oh for sure, waiting a little longer to see who rises to the top before jumping on anything. Some big numbers out there though.
Nice work Bubba

I’m sure Ford appreciates me

No, you can adjust parameters using software that’s available online.

Not all of us won the lottery. Perch level will just ruin the suspension 🙄 Looks like it rides like you added tons of preload.
Perch collars have been used for YEARS on Raptor F150s and love valve systems. Absolutely nothing wrong with a perch collar.
Did you guys figure out how to make a 0 offset wheel work on the Ranger Raptor yet? 😬

The arms should have been replaced with a new beefer design. There was some for the 2019-2023 last I remember.
