Filling up the filter with oil wouldn't make a big difference on a small engine like this with a small filter. The filter will fill up right away and it isn't going to starve the engine of oil. The threads don't need oiled as the threads on the car will already have oil on them. You should oil the filter gasket if needed. There is generally oil on the mating surface if you don't wipe it off.
I usually run mine around five minutes. If I have driven the car and the engine is fully heated up, I'll usually wait a half an hour or more for it to cool down a bit. It can still be very hot at this point so be careful.
That was kind of misleading, you showed that you added the whole jug of oil, the jug holds 5 qt. But the car only holds 3.9 qts
I really appreciate you showing how to reset the oil reading in the odometer dashboard. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
A good tip that i heard is to also fill ur oil filter up with oil and rub some oil around the threads before screwing it in

Thanks for the tutorial, I plan to try this next month. Do you know the part number for the crush washers?
Yep. I have the part number listed with the link in the description.
Did you use the paper connected filter or the metal.
Not me trying hard to twist on the engine mount bolt 😂
How many quarts did you put in there
Thanks, how long should I let the engine run before doing an oil change? To where it warms and will drain better but not be too hot to work with?
