Excellent video. Thanks I have had my DJI drone for about 4 days now. I took it to a friend's large ranch to give me lots of room to practice. I especially wanted to begin practicing a few of the intelligent modes - specifically Draw, Tap Fly, Tripod. When using DRAW flight was perfect. Fly to the object/area and maintained perfect altitude start to finish. When I used TAP FLY, and tapped on a distant object , it looks as if TAP FLY descends directly to the object/point at the angle established from the drone to the point when "tapped." As my first TAP FLY flight progressed the ground got closer and closer and closer . . . until I intervened and hit stop. Question - would it have flown into the ground? Thank you for any answers, insights and advice.
Nice video. Very helpful. I'm wondering if TapFly would be the best way to fly my Mavic 2 Zoom to the top of a small mountain about a mile from my home. I can see the tower at the top of the mountain which is about 800 ft. above my house. Once it took a panorama at the top, I would click the RTH button.
Can I ask what model/year phone you are using? Seems the 'Tap Fly' could put a strain on a slower phone? This is August 2020, & I am thinking of purchasing a Mavic Pro. Even though it is now 3 yrs old, the options seem phenomenal ! I currently have a Mavic Mini & love it, but now I want a drone like the Pro, especially because of Waypoints. I'm learning alot from your Super Helpful Vids.. TY sooo much. Is the focus while recording videos on the Pro a problem? The Mini produces fantastically sharp/IN FOCUS, clear videos. Again, Thanks for posting.
Hi Dylan, thanks for all the Second Part of the Intelligent flightmodes. After I See this I trägt to Start also a Screen Recording, but do Not know how. Can you please explain how it works? Thanks in advance. Dieter from Germany
Francois Oosthuysen You can tilt the camera up and down but I don’t think it will go sideways without the drone flying in that direction. Perhaps with DJI Goggles you could.
Dylan thanks for all the tutorial videos. You have helped me out alot as a newbie for about a month a half now. Please keep up the good work my man! But if I may ask what production soft ware do you recommend ?
EveryCord actually records audio while screen recording so you wont need to sync. I don't think the iPhone app does that. No need for an external mic. You can use the ear buds with a microphone built in and that also works
Another great video. Always easy to follow. I think you need to adjust your horizon, though. The last 2 vids show it to be leaning quite a bit. IMO! Maybe your making it your signature! Keep up the good work!
Oh man, for the love of all that is holy, please help me sync my screen captures! I spend more time trying to fix that than anything else. I would be forever in debt to you!
You aren't in debt to me at all, my friend, But here it is! handbrake.fr It's called HandBrake. You click "Open Source" then make sure you check "constant frame rate" then it will convert your video to have a constant frame rate, instead of a variable frame rate (which is what causes all these problems on the screen capturing apps). However, you will have to have a little bit of video editing ability. I say that, because it always renders the video to vertical format, instead of horizontal, so you will have to rotate the video 90 degrees, then you have to take your original audio track from your original screen capture video, then use the new constant frame rate video from HandBrake. Hope that makes sense. I actually might make a tutorial video on that! I hope this helps!
Excellent video. Thanks

Enjoyed your videos the first time around and look forward to seeing the V2 videos. Have shared a number of your videos to help out my drone buddies.

Thank you Dylan, I have yet to use this intelligent flight mode but now that I've seen this video again I can see the benefit to using it.
Nice ... fine Sir. You're becoming quite the Guru...!! Do you always run a filter, such as a polarizer, etc... on the drone?
Love the video Dylan. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for the kind words Ralph! My pleasure!
Thanks Dylan, I always appreciate your vids!

Could you pan and tilt the camera around during tapfly? Also, film a tutorial where you show how you record your screen and sync up the audio.

That would be course lock mode

Hi! Dylan
Which app your using to record your phone display.
Thanks.
It's the built in screen recorder on the iPhone. Once Apple released iOS 11, it has a screen recording/capturing device.

Would love to see how you capture the video on your iPhone

Thanks Dylan, just want to let you know that 95% of my Mavic Knowledge has come from you and your videos....lets just say your videos are top shelf.
Do Mavic Pro Platinum have foward, reverse and home lock at the tap and fly?

I m doing a road construction video and i plan to use the tap and fly, What should I do to maintain the height eg 40+-? cheers
Thanks Dylan
You are very welcome!
Damn it Richard!
Cool! Thanks!
What happens if you insert the rudder stick input?
I wish that same feature was available using the map. I'd like to have that option when you don't really need waypoints.

Dylan Young Thank you so much! Yes, I think i can handle that. Lifesaver man!
Mavic Air is almost perfect BUT you should also consider this sites.google.com/site/BetterThanMavicAir
LeslieDude Dude, don't be a douche. Spamming is for lazy people.
What does the H on the horizon line mean/represent?
Fishme7 I would assume Horizon!
@@deeyung ahhh ok that makes sense now! I figured everyone would know the line means horizon but I guess not. Thanks!
Not really a big user of Tapfly. I primarily use Tripod mode, Active Track, and POI and rarely course lock but thanks for the tutorial.
