GREAT job Dylan! You made this tutorial super easy to reproduce.I’ve subscribed to your channel. I will be combing your UA-cam library. Thanks from Washington State.
I would also suggest right-clicking both the first and second keyframe and selecting "Easy In" and "Easy Out,' respectfully. Has a more fluid motion then
Interesting effect. Not sure I have ever thought to use that effect but if I do, I now know how to do it, although I use FCPX so would need to figure out where to go in that program. Thanks
Hey Craig! Long time, no talk! Good to hear from you. Hope all is going well with you. I see your channel is doing great! Keep up the great work, my friend! :)
Yes. Went on a Transatlantic sailing trip for over 5 weeks so was sort of out of Internet coverage. I see your channel is growing nicely. Good for you. You have some great content. Keep up the good work Dylan.
Dylan am I correct in saying that because you are zooming in using a 1080X1920 clip, you are digitally doing it where as with the Mavic Zoom it has a 2X optical zoom, so that your resulant Dolly Zoom with the Mavic Zoom would be sharper ?
dean jericevic Actually, while you are correct in that it’s digital soon as opposed the the Mavic 2 Zoom’s optical zoom, I originally filmed in 4k, so my resolution was incredibly higher before downscaling to 1080 to export the video. Hope that is making sense. So sharpness really didn’t affected here. It was a no brainer for me personally, to get the Mavic 2 Pro over the Mavic 2 Zoom due to the far superior camera.
@@deeyung I thought , Dylan that you changed your resolution down in Premiere Pro. Yes, shoot in 4K & you have plenty of resolution to play around with.
Hey Dylan great video...you always make the editing look so easy. Now starting off with the adobe PR...geezz...testing my patients!!! What is the name of the sound track at the end of this vid?
Hey Jeffrey, thank you so much for the kind words! I hope Adobe Premiere Pro isn't giving you too hard of a time! I started a series of tutorials on it and plan on doing way more! I have a Adobe Premiere Pro playlist on my channel if you are interested in watching! The name of the track at the end is "Canyon Breeze". I made it in Garage Band on my iPhone several years ago when I was down in a canyon and it was rather windy, hence the name. Lol.
Dylan Young thanks for the timely response...i will definitely look at your playlist on adobe premiere pro. The thing is I'm abit bz with work these days as carnival in Trinidad and Tobago is around the corner and my little spare time i just fiddle around with the programme. I understand how u walk us through your vids and i will definitely look at it...thanks
I love this effect! I just started doing it in my travel and mini doc videos and it's always cool! I'm gonna do it a lot during my trip to Southeast Asia this April
yes you earned my like and sub...thanks a lot i was so curious to as what is this effect called in cinematography since i am software eng student loving cinematography and editing so i have no idea what are terms ...and as you describe it the Vertigo effect i have a name and know the technique ....thanks a ton again man..looking forward for more such SPECIFIC EFFECTS TUTORIAL.. :-) #HaveAGoodOne
OK! I always wanted to do something like this. I am getting pretty adept at PowerDirector and sure I can duplicate this. Question; How do you create this effect with a photo? You've seen this...many times with older pics. A person in foreground...then they OR the background zooms in or out with the other remains static. Is that using masking? Or can be done some how in this manner you show? Thanks again for a great tutorial!
So simple tutorial. Thank you

Would this be the same as adding a Ken Burns effect?

I would also suggest right-clicking both the first and second keyframe and selecting "Easy In" and "Easy Out,' respectfully. Has a more fluid motion then
Is the sound track available on UA-cam?

I have actually done this before. I may do a tutorial on it soon! :)
You simply match the zoom speed with the moving camera speed so the person/object basically has the same size in the frame
Right, but how do you duplicate the effect with a photo?
Great one! like and thanks from Ukraine!
Hey Oleg, thank you for the kind words!
This is so much easier to do in iMovie lol.
