I love this! I have done something similar before. Sometimes I will stitch my lettering onto a 2 1/2 inch piece of fabric, the same size as my binding, then I actually sew the small piece between my binding strips. I will place it strategically before attaching it to my quilt so my label is part of my binding that will show only on the back. I may also include a personalized quote that I love as well. Another thing I have done with my machine lettering is to add a name or quote to the small accent strip on a burrito style pillowcase before sewing the 3 layers together. Thank you, Laura for another great idea for placing labels. I regularly follow your tutorials for great techniques that I don’t see anywhere else. I will add it to this one to my repertoire of ideas to use in future projects. Please keep them coming ❣️
Thank you Laura, this is a wonderful tip!! I always save my ribbons from layer cakes & other precuts! Always enjoy you channel.
I'm with @rebeccaenlow .... I never thought of this reuse/recycle before.... doh! Thankyou, Laura, hugs, Chel 🌸
Good morning I love all your tutorials they make my life so much easier especially the one for the surgical cap. Can you please make a video on how to make a ponytail cap without a pattern
Excellent idea! There’s a learning curve when only one label is made at a time therefore I’ve avoided it. This is a wonderful solution. Thanks!
Thank you I was thinking of ordering labels. I had no idea mine did this. It Does!!
I’m feeling silly for not thinking of this! It’s brilliant, thank you!
Thanks Laura for such a great idea. I save those ribbons that come quilt bundles and now I have a great way to use them.
Just love this video. While my old Bernina doesn’t do letters easily, mass producing these labels once I work out the design would be such a relief! Thank you!
What a great video, Laura! Thanks especially for the tips for using water soluble stabilizer. 😊 They will definitely up my game.
Brilliant, Laura. Brilliant! (I've wondered what to do with those cute little grosgrain ribbons on jelly rolls.) I'm always at a loss as to what kind of label to make for the quilts that I keep for myself as I generally make some kind of fancier label for quilts I give away. This definitely fits the bill perfectly. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant idea
A great idea Laura thank your for sharing your tips x
Very cool & Sew Very Easy"!😅
I make lengthwise labels for my quilts & personalize on seam tape. I also tuck mine in the binding. I like that they aren't intrusive to the Quilting. I've never thought to use the grosgrain ribbon. Thank you! Always enjoy.
Great, easy labels!
Can one iron it onto wax paper for the stabilizer? Then peel off the paper after stitching. A great labeling technique .
.
Maybe better - freezer paper. I think it would be less likely to gum up the needle.
What a great idea Laura. I wish I had kept the ribbbons from my precuts. 😮
What is this stabilizer you are using and where can I buy some? Thank you for this video.
Best idea I’ve seen in a while. Thank you! Blessings.
Thank you for sharing this information. Very helpful
Thanks for another great idea, Laura! 😊

Thank you for the genius idea!!
An awesome tip! Thank you.
What a great idea!
Very nice👌👌👌💝🥰🙏
What a great idea! Thank you!
Good idea! Just a note - grosgrain is pronounced without the S. It's like grow-grain. :)
I’m nearly 70 and had to look this up several months ago because... well, I don’t have any jelly rolls so I have to actually buy the grosgrain. I didn’t want to mispronounce it when I asked the clerk where in the store it was located. 😊 Lol
Nice if you have that option on the machine. I will buy the stabilizer and give it a try. For monogramming . Well done
Sew useful! Thank you!
Thanks!
Thank you and thank you for watching

I need to do this for the other stuff I make like rope bowls or stuffies. I was looking into a way to print my own labels but nothing has worked well
Awesome!
Very useful. Thnq laura
What stabilizer are you using?
Thanks Laura. Can you share which stabilizer you used?
Hi Laura Love watching your show ,just wondering if any sewing machine can sew letters? I have brothers sewing machine Thank you have a good day
Maybe you can find out with your machine's manual or by looking your machine up online?
I’ve never seen this done on a regular sewing machine foot and without a hoop
Boy I wish the letters on my machine looked that nice and that big. I don't like mine at all
Great ideas! Thank you.
