kurt is very high on my list of influences, that list including frank iero, jerry garcia, eddie van halen, robin skinner, claudio sanchez, and yvette young to name but a few. and as important as they all were and are to my own musical journey, kurt is one of my absolute favorite musicians to have ever lived. it took me a long time to really appreciate nirvana’s music, but after i really dove into it, it was like learning a new language. the way kurt used direct lyrics and driving guitar riffs to tell intricate and complex stories is absolutely incredible. in the decades since his death, we’ve seen a number of artists do what kurt pioneered, and while they all do it very well, there was something very special about how and when kurt wrote the music he did. kurt was uniquely brilliant, and that can never be understated. i wish him a very happy birthday, wherever the hell he ended up

Nirvana was a massive influence on me, I was 12 in 92 when I first heard Nevermind and that was it. I was lucky enough to get ahold of a Cobain Mustang right when they came out and I love it. I did swap the jb for a super distortion and replaced the tuners with Gotoh's but that's about it. That guitar thru my Mesa studio 22 or deluxe reverb can nail just about any tone. I had an original Jag-Stang years ago, the neck was phenomenal but I just couldn't stand the body. I kinda regret selling it but I liked it more for what it was vs how it played. Funny enough I picked up a Univox Hi Flyer in 93 for $50 and traded it to a guy for an Ibanez RG470 in 96. Seemed like a good idea at the time but I seriously regret that one.

I like my epi et 270 a bunch. Alot different than the others for sure. Mine doesn't have an E decal on it and I think someone cut a new nut. I wonder if a stock one would make it much different. The nut does make a big difference believe it or not sometimes. Either way it's a lovely guitar, even for non nirvana stuff. The pickups need no changing. I got an eastwood phase iv too, which is nice, and it's a cut above other eastwood guitars I've gotten my hands on. Like they make replicas of old guitars and lots of times that's what they are, replicas. This ones solid though. The pickups aren't quite as hot as the old ones but they do alright I guess with fuzz pedals. I got a few fuzz factorys from zvex and they scream. You're right on time with the amp man. I got a couple but I found a tonemaster is all I need, especially just playing alone in my room. Sounds like tubes without all the maintenance and weight. Old folks don't like them cause they don't "move air" or something. If you want the sound of a fender amp, get a tonemaster for real. Things in this world do change and get better and this is definetly one of them for sure. I got the deluxe reverb and it works for my needs just fine.

Fernandes Telecaster (bound candy apple red with seymour duncan quarter pounds)
Squier Offset Telecaster (white stock but still awesome
Squier 51 (with one humbucker in the bridge)

I had his Jaguar, but am just keeping the Mustang (for sound) and Jagstang (for looks/modding). You're going to love it when you get the studio preamp with a Mesa power amp. Mesa/Boogie makes them sound twice as good as a Fender Twin, IMO. I might be selling them soon too, if you're interested. I have a Conrad-Johnson PV-2 as preamp now, that somehow sounds even better for about the same price. I wanted to get Kurt's tone and then improve it for so many years, and I feel like the PV-2 was the ticket to that for me. (You can hear both preamps compared on my channel) But, the Mesa/Boogie with a Mustang is the exact tone of his that I wanted, (Nevermind / Incesticide tone) and it seems to record better for some reason. I'm not sure I'm ready to part with it yet, because I still like having his exact tone, but sometime soon, because I want to explore more hifi distortion guitar tones.

I wish I had a dollar for every time a UA-camr said "link is down in the description" only to not leave a link to the referenced video down in the description.

You wouldn’t make any money off of me because every link is in the beginning of the description under the hashtag

Amazing collection ! Don t know if someone already mentionned it, but the Roseland guitar is a Mustang, not a Jagstang. Cobain Never played the red jagstang, Fender was supposed to ship it to him in April 1994. And you know what happened ;)
