While I do agree with everyone else that Bosco’s voice change was unnecessary and a little jarring, I really don’t think the new VA is that bad. He probably would’ve had better ground to stand on if they casted him as a new character (obviously not here, but maybe in future games).

Wow! The first episode of Sam & Max Save the World, in this game, was pretty awesome & funny at the same time. And I'm just getting into it thanks to this user I follow on twitter who also played the game. While I will admit how annoying it was from how you played throughout Episode 1, but you had your reasons for it & most likely did it to the rest of your Playthroughs/Gameplays/Walkthroughs. Really like the chemistry & interaction between Sam & Max, especially with Max & his outgoing & wild personality! I think I'm gonna like this game AND Sam & Max. I know you're already finished with this & the 2nd game, so Imma continue watching (mainly on my own terms & when I have time) more of your Sam & Max Playthrough/Gameplay/Walkthrough and see how the other episodes are like. It's definitely worth it now that I'm interested to see more of Sam & Max and their adventures!
It’s such a weird shock to hear Sam’s voice so low and not as expressive, and I loved Chaikin’s performance as Max. Granted, Kasten’s performance is more recognizable, but I miss Max’s old voice.

A video about how jokes were censored in the remake has more views than this. :( This spells badly for Sam & Max's resurgence... I have looked at a list of the removed/altered jokes, and I'll admit, I miss *one* of those not-politically-correct jokes, and this is coming from someone who tries to be politically correct. But I still appreciate the attempt to renew and even modernize the old games and bought the remake. The *core* of Sam & Max's humor never hinged on offensiveness anyway, so no big deal to me.

It's Sam & Max FFs. They've removed the twisted, edgy jokes from the game and changed the anti-PC nature of the characters which is what everyone has loved for over 30 years. I'm surprised they didn't just give Max some clothes too.

Also, the voice actor was involved in a controversy where two of his UA-cam videos were considered racist and transfobic. He claimed that he didn't mean to be racist, and that so, he was in fact, not racist. I didn't watch the videos, just stating the part I know. But they still kept Jimmy's voice! So it's not that. Who knows, though.

Personally, I'm rather mixed on Bosco's new voice. I understand the change, and Ogie Banks is a good VA, and the voice isn't necessarily bad. But compered to the original voice, the new one sounds...restrained most of the time. With that said, I personally think he does a MUCH better job in the sequel.

.... At the end, they could have just forged Sybil's name, checked off the boxes and went in. Brady Culture Dies before Season 2 and it's not like he can sue Sam and Max while being extremely unlikely Sybil will find out as the area looks like it should be demolished soon enough.

They censored a lot so the game could be released in more places than just the US, Canada, Australia and such.

So wait I have a question. I tested and some of these lines use the exact same voices from the exact same game years ago. It doesn’t look like they went back and re-recorded a ton of lines.
So if they didn’t recast voices for audio quality, why did they recast Bosco?

Personally, I'm rather mixed on Bosco's new voice. I understand the change, and Ogie Banks is a good VA, and the voice isn't necessarily bad. But compered to the original voice, the new one sounds...restrained most of the time.
With that said, I personally think he does a MUCH better job in the sequel.

Yeah. They had to change voice actor to someone who fitted bosco’s skin tone, as for why. Well I’m sure you know why.
