I grew up around this area, and still live near here, and I've been to almost every restaurant shown in this video, not just the ones featured. It's so cool seeing all of them here. And he's right, the food here is very authentic. There are gems up and down Buford
I used to live near there when I was a baby but then I moved south of atlanta but to this day me and my dad love to go to taco veloz my personal favorites are carne asada tacos and tacos de chile relleno

I miss living in Stone mountain, and working off Buford Highway. Late night partying always ended at 88 Tofu house & Baden Baden. It's too bad they shut down New Paradise years ago. 😲
Gu’s !! We love this place so much. And those Szechuan red peppercorns do numb your mouth and tongue. But, it’s not a bad numb. Try Gu’s if you love food.
nice area with great assortment of authentic cuisines, this could have been stretched to 2 more episodes...the restaurants and shops spread throughout, easy for traffick and parking where you dont have to walk half a mile like in other cities
Is Cajun food from Lousiana? French? Creole? I am an Indian in Canada, and I would love to try it out? Or,maybe, start an Indian restaurant in Atlanta.....something called " Brahmin's Ragout" Indian vegetarian?:)
TameTusker Silly I went to the Buford highways farmer market today. Place has absolutely everything including gross stuff like cow anus, bull balls, and some other strange food items that will blow your mind that people actually eat it.
I live in the doraville part of buford hwy shit where I live might not be nice but like shit they hella restraints on buford all the way from brookhaven to duluth Evan
Another great chinese restaurant is peking house douglas, ga 31533. Variety of meal and sauce deliver isn’t availability no curbside spacious cleaning entry.
Confession time: I'm a server. I hate my job. I hate people, I suffer from anxiety, and years of taking shit from people has left me bitter just at the thought of another customer walking through the door and being sat in my section. I am only sticking with it because it pays well (I can earn up to $400 on a good night), and I'm working my way through college and paying for my cute little Toyota sportscar. Honestly the only thing that gets me through the day is shit talking the customers who annoy me. Sometimes I just do something as innocent as walk over while the guest is mid-bite and ask them how the food is. Which makes them look fucking stupid (hint: if your server does this, it's not an accident). But if someone's a real ass, I'm not above adding something special to their food. If you're ever near Marietta, don't eat at Marlows Tavern, lol!
Georgia does not have good tacos!!! I've tried all the mexican restaurants on and around Buford and NONE of them are good. Chicago supermarket in the the back of the store has some alright taco's. But most of the places have some non seasoned meat and their salsa is flavorless.

I'm frequently on Buford Hwy, and some of these places I pass without a thought. I want to try the crawfish place.
Try the Shacktastic it's super good. Sometimes the sausage is super good and sometimes not so much.
Moving to Atlanta soon after finishing off my class.

My first taste of Buford Hwy. was El Toro #1; long since gone.
Wow i'm really surprised someone remembers that restaurant or the franchise. My father actually worked at the one you mentioned.
It moved to Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Not too far away
The market near Food Terminal is amazing....
Gu’s !! We love this place so much. And those Szechuan red peppercorns do numb your mouth and tongue. But, it’s not a bad numb. Try Gu’s if you love food.

Thanks for the Tip. Mojitos in Downtown Norcross.
It would be great if this was updated. There's been a lot of changes on BuHi since 2014.
We're working on it. In the meantime, check out our pieces on specific Buford Highway restaurants, Food Terminal, Man Chun Hong and Nam Phuong

I like sweet hut! I like the one on Peachtree in midtown
I have to say the best sichuan restaurant on Buford hwy should be Masterpiece, maybe it has the best spicy dishes in Atlanta
Except that's not the original Havana Sandwich Shop. Same owners maybe. But the original is back open.
McDonalds doesnt look nearly as appealing anymore.
I live in the doraville part of buford hwy shit where I live might not be nice but like shit they hella restraints on buford all the way from brookhaven to duluth Evan
