Great video! Made me a little homesick, and gave us a few things we need to try when we go back. Ponce City is new since I left. The Varsity is classic Atlanta. The Carter Presidential Library is one I've never done that I want to try. Stone Mountain Park is technically outside Atlanta, but a great outdoor option. Zoo Atlanta, Fernbank Museum and the lesser known Fernbank Science Center are also good, depending on what you're into. Someday I'd also like to try the rotating restaurants at the Hyatt Regency or the Westin. A lot of my favorites are old Atlanta, like the Old Hickory House for Brunswick Stew or the Barbeque Kitchen near the airport for fresh vegetables. Delta Airlines has their own museum I want to try sometime.
Clearly, you do not live in GA . LOL. It gets old. Fast Too much traffic, too many tourists, constant construction....and poor public transportation. As with any metro city whether LA, NY or MIA
@@andreavaldezms7446 woah I just recently moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles, California, but I’m originally from Harlem New York. My city has the best transportation I’ve ever seen LA transportation sucks. I don’t really know too much about Atlanta transportation because of course I drive.
I'm an Atlantan, and I like your video. You knew where to visit. I've seen too many travel videos that just walk around Downtown and the convention hotels. The make the city seem boring, and don't give any inkling of the character of the city.
This was a bangin' video. I'm from Savannah, Georgia (Georgia's beauty spot), but I live in Atlanta. I've seen alata videos about both, but yours is the most accurate and effective. Thank you for representing my city so well. L
This is an awesome overview of Atlanta. I would love to go there one day, thinking of a Southern US road trip with out camper if we can swing it. The food you shared looked soooo good. I want one of those pops! So much to see and so here.
Thank you for doing a good video on Atlanta. So many people got to a couple bad places, complain, then get out. You actually showed some gems and what there actually is to do. I also recommend Zoo Atlanta, going out to Stone Mountain, Six Flags, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art, or highlighting one of the MANY festivals we have all summer. Stone Mountain may be controversial but minorities have claimed it their own. It is FILLED with minorities and with people from around the world everyday
Thanks. We try to actually experience a place as much as we can with the short amount of time we had. Atlanta is so rich with black culture, you can't go there and not talk about it. We truly enjoyed our time there. Thanks for these recs too!
If you're a foodie and you have a car (or momey for ubers haha), you have to visit the Buford Highway corridor, into Doraville or even Gwinnett county (Duluth). Some of the best and most-affordable international food in the country.
Thanks! We'll definitely take you up on that next time. Likewise if you make it down to St Pete or Tampa. Should have asked you guys for some more local spots!
Atlanta is very fun I’m from there it’s changed a lot throughout the years though. Just be careful at night and in certain areas just like any other city.
Hope you have fun! We haven't been back since we made the video so not sure what's new. Fairly certain all the spots we traveled to are still around and we still recommend them, but I think next time we go back we'll branch out a little further to see more
very polished and informative vlog. Hopefully doing my first 48 hour stop to the city in about a months time and you've given me food for thought yum. Looking forward to visiting the Mercedes Benz arena. The Botanical gardens look interesting as well.
We preferred Krog Street for food. But if you want to spend the afternoon doing activities too then Ponce has the rooftop area with all the rides. The food just isn't as good as Krog Street
On my trips, I don't like to eat more hamburgers than I normally eat in my city. I didn't like the food at Ponce City Market, but I highly recommend the HONEY PIG Korean Food restaurant, (3473 Old Norcross Rd #304, Duluth, GA 30096) you won't regret it!
We had a car because we were moving from Maryland to Florida at the time so this stop was part of our road trip. But the only place we drove to to was Centennial Olympic Park
🤦🏿♂️ this was the team before the Braves. Like we said in the video, the Braves aren't Atlanta's original baseball team that played at this park. The Braves professional baseball team moved from Milwaukee to Atlanta, but go on.
I’m from Georgia and used to visit Atlanta a few times a month. But no more crime is out of control and there’s a good chance your car will be broken in to and also a good chance you’ll be robbed or worse especially if you’re on the streets walking around at night.
@12:41 Avoid Piss n Poop everywhere, homeless on the side walk, ask 4 your lighter 2 hit a crack pipe, $3.50 for the train, 15 security guards at the library + metal detector, GOT a cig 30 times a day, and 1 mill cops, try not getting robbed is only 30% of the things you have 2 DO ... Have fun!
@@TheDetourDuo other than that edited nicely with good B roll. Woman in video needs to have her own channel called, "I try every chicken sandwich in America!" Not a foodie.

@@mamoruisamu1 oh you named some great places. We definitely need to visit a few more of those
I feel like ATL is underrated as a staple in the US. There's SO MUCH history and diversity here.
agreed!!!
Need better mass transit

Can’t go wrong with a picnic and some drinks in Piedmont park
so true
The music was so on point in this video so soulful and southern
thanks. music plays a big role in how I edit. I usually find songs and imagine how they would flow

Enjoyable video. Great editing. Great content. Great music.
Much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed it!
Atlanta one of the funnest, safest places to go
We enjoyed ourselves there

Botanical gardens Yes! Like the bike riding suggestion! Atlanta does seem like an interesting place to visit. Great job once again.
Thank you! It's definitely a good spot to bike if you make your way down there. The BeltLine pretty much goes around the city
@@TheDetourDuo Thanks I will check it out.

as someone from atlanta after 5 dont go on the roads its hell even on the weekends also its a very safe city aslong as you dont mess with people
both facts!!!

Awesome! Thank you!
New sub here. Great storytelling, good pace of the video and so helpful to showcase all these places in Atlanta.
Thanks for subscribing. Trying to get better with storytelling. I feel like it's a bit difficult with travel vlogs. At least for us.

If we only had an afternoon in Atlanta, which would you prefer: Krog Market or Ponce Market?
We preferred Krog Street for food. But if you want to spend the afternoon doing activities too then Ponce has the rooftop area with all the rides. The food just isn't as good as Krog Street
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Cheers!

Duluth is a nexus of places like that. I wouldn't limit it to just Honey Pig. More like Honey Pig is the tip of a huge very deep iceberg.
Did you guys use any other form of transportation or just the bikes?
We had a car because we were moving from Maryland to Florida at the time so this stop was part of our road trip. But the only place we drove to to was Centennial Olympic Park
I like it
same
Atlanta was cooler in 1970's through 2000. Great clubs , and venues , alternative music scene waa huge and Album 88 .
I bet it was great time to be down there
Fred’s meats is amazing… shroom shire is the sandwich you want!
Thanks for the rec
its the atlanta braves but go on.

Laura agrees, the vegan fries seem to be Morse dense
All I know is Slutty Vegan had us ready to make the switch lol
Hey. How was that shrimp bowl?
Honestly couldn't tell you at this point, but I can say that I don't remember disliking a single thing on this trip
What camera are you using ?
Sony a7sIII
THE VARSITY??? FELINI'S PIZZA??? THE MAJESTIC???
"48 hours". Appreciate the comment is all caps though.
Nice video

second largest park in atlanta
Good catch
When I seen Fang and Laura I kinda jump out of my seat. 😅

Is it possible to go around without renting a car?
Yeah, for sure. We had a car just because we were on the tail end of a road trip, but we really didn't drive to a lot of places.
Short answer; No
@user-yv6pw1lr9g well I did! Just trains, uber, and bikes
