    Thank you for this video, I realized that my personal wifi router is right next to the isp modem/wifi router. The guy had told me the wifi is always on, but I knew there must be a disable settings. Aside from not needing both wifi networks next to each other I figure it just can't be good for reliable and efficient wifi broadcasting over each other. So, thanks very much for the video!

      So, I hate to be like this but you probably need to do some research. 5Ghz is a short range band that supports a larger bandwidth range while 2.4Ghz has longer range and better penetration but a smaller bandwidth range. Also, not all devices can support the available frequencies within the 2.4Ghz band and 5Ghz band. I am willing to be wrong, but I doubt the occulus supports a 160mhz frequency on the 5Ghz band, so that's problem 1. What you really need to do from here is learn "How to optimize my wifi settings" because each wifi setup depends on several things and it is way too much work for me to troubleshoot with you. Some things to consider are building materials, distance to gateway, other wifi signals (channels) near by, other signals in your 20/40/60/80/160mhz frequencies, individual mobile/wifi device capabilities and more.
      Honestly, I would just leave the WiFi settings alone unless you live in an apartment or have many competing wifi access points around your dwelling. Sorry....

    Have you noticed any issues with IPv6 in pass through mode? What "prosumer" system would you recommend with this gateway? UDM + AP? Omada router + APs?
    For folks like me that are upgrading to ATT Fiber, we are also upgrading our network equipment too. I have a MoCA backhaul. 2500sqft, split evenly between two stories. No need for advanced features like multi-VLAN. But some things like QoS, VPN, separate IoT subnet might be nice.

      @SPXLabs  3 роки тому +1

      I disabled IPv6 day one. I have always disabled IPv6 because it seems that many websites and services still don’t handle it well. So I can’t answer your question.
      I’d say that depends on you and your budget / expectations. I currently use UniFi but I like Omada. If TP-Link ever adds PoE cameras to the Omada ecosystem I would switch brands.
