Typically you just Google search which games need what ports open for ps5 then add them to your router. You shouldn’t need to open any other ports to the ps5. Just the ones you need for each game.

You shouldn’t need to open ports on your client. Your client( since it’s local) should be able to connect to the server using the local ip address vs the public/wan ip. So you only need to port forward the server ports
I created the inbound rules on the laptop I am using as a Ark ASA host. I created the port forwarding on the BGW 320 web console found the laptop by PC name (ARK-SERVER). External players like my friends cannot reach the external IP and port xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx:7777 of the router to reach the laptop. I have 7777 , 7778 and 27020 and 27015 are all forwarding and created as inbound rules. Is the router blocking the request maybe?
It’s always possible. I find that after setting up port forwarding it’s best to reboot the gateway. It’s like the settings don’t stick after making them. You could also try turning off the firewall/NAT on the BGW320

hello, im using plex and i followed all of the steps for port forwarding and its still not available outside my network. i really don't know what else to do. it was working just right with my other ISP but with ATT and their fiber modem my server is not available outside my own network.

I can connect to my hosted MInecraft Bedrock server from a device on the same network, which tells me I got the port and IP address correct, but when the device is not on the same ip address, it cant connect. I have gone through a lot of different things with my router, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?
Can you add the same ports to 2 or 3 different IPs/devices? For example, if I have 3 PS5's, can I add the same ports for each PS5 so that I can play on any one of them without issues? This would be so much easier if you can just set the NAT to open like on Netgear
No, you can only port forward the same port to a single device. I think the only option you would have is to setup IP Passthrough to your own router and enable UPNP. But I'm honestly not sure how well that would work.
Try rebooting the Gateway. Seems like a reboot fixes the problem for most people. If that doesn’t work undo all the changes you made. Then try again and reboot the gateway.
I dont know if youre still responding to comments from this long back but Im setting up a ark server through ark server manager and it says no loopback.
Seems like you have to choose a device where is says, "needed by device" but this makes it difficult for someone who has never been on the local network to connect to my server. Does anyone know a work around?
Anyone not on your local network should be using your WAN / Public IP address. Nobody should be selecting devices except the owner of the BGW320. I might be able to help you but I need you to ask your question a different way because I don't understand.
It's not really working for me, I'm using a website to check it but it keeps giving me "Connection timed out" same with the minecraft server itself when anyone tries joining it. got any advice?
Try rebooting the gateway. Then if that doesn’t work. Undo the work you did, reboot the gateway, port forward again, reboot the gateway again and then try. If it doesn’t work after that…. Then maybe give ATT a call. They can do it for you remotely.

Problem is my friends are still unable to join my multiplayer server on my Java Minecraft for who knows why. I gave them my IP address to connect to my world within my computer, but it shows that nothing pops up for them. I know I did everything correct within your video, and correct when creating my own server because I’m able to see it within my local host once I boot up my server via command (Java). Is there something else I have to do for the port forwarding? Like the IP Passthrough or something like that? Thanks in advance.
You shouldn't need IP Passthrough unless you have a different router behind the BGW gateway. If you do have a router behind the Gateway and you have IP Passthrough setup, then you do not need to port forward. Double check all the correct ports are opened and when you are done you coud also try restarting the Gateway. If none of that works then something has to be wrong somewhere.
Are you still able to portforward custom ranges on the latest update? mine just gives me a error that says a required setting is empty. when I try and they deleted all my old forwarded ports
@@SPXLabs Mine just updated to 4.22.5 and It removed all of my previously forwarded ports and won't allow me to any any new custom ones again just a red error saying A required setting is empty twice, even most of their preset game ones in the dropdown don't work with that same error, possible the firmware corrupted during install or something :/
That’s really weird homie. I’m still doing the same thing as shown in the video. Try Resetting the device. There is an option to factory reset it maybe doing that will fix all the issues.
Any chance you able to do a video on how to kick any device from your AT&T WiFi through the mac filtering ? I’m trying to remove this one device but it keeps saying I must disable WPS on an SSID in order to use MAC address filtering and I don’t know what any of that is :(
I might make a video about it but if I were you I wouldn’t count on it. But for your info. In the WiFi section on the gateway there is an option to disable WPS. That’s what you are looking for. It’s towards the bottom of the page
Im having a issue, im running a Home server for FiveM I did ll the port forwarding, now on my Home PC I'm not able to joining my own server since its using the same IP address is there away the router can make new IPs?
If you are on Windows you can request a new IP address from the gateway. Open a Command Prompt window and type in 'ipconfig /renew'. That should give you a new IP address. But that doesn't sound like the issue. You should be able to host several things from the same IP address and access them. I do it all the time in Minecraft, Space Engineers, and in Valheim.
So I did exactly what you did and added firewall inbound/outbound rule on my laptop the server is running off of. When I get the laptop ip address and check to see if the ports are forwarded it says it's not. Any other suggestions?
Same... I even called ATT on several different occasions after I gave up on trying to get the port forwarding to work. They did the exact same things I did and still were not able to have the ports be shown open. I swear they disable it on some gateways and just dont tell anyone. I had no problems port forwarding on the BGW210. I went as far as to disable firewalls on gateway and pc just to troubleshoot and still couldn't see open ports
I don't know. It depends. Are you passing through your WAN IP? if no, then yes you need to do this. If yes, then no you do not need to do this. However, if the Eeros is a router, you will still need to port forward on Eeros router in both scenarios.

If you are hosting an ARMA 3 server you can change the default ports you are forwarding so they do no conflict with whatever CoD is using. Otherwise, UPnP should "just work", if you are going to use UPnP I would not forward any ports unless I was hosting specific services.
Make sure you enable Java script on the website. I was not able to get the Device Access Code to work, kept telling me wrong password, until I realized the site needed Java Script.

@@SPXLabs yeah I spent the last 3 hours trying to figure out what was going on. Turns out, atleast on ATT’a new routers, they use dynamic hosting and no UPnP. So there was no way for me to port foward when I went into the routers settings and files for certain games. Nothing to knock against your video btw ! It was great. But I was trying to set up a server for Arma 3 and basically could not. Has to rent a server but it was only $4. I very well could have missed something but I searched Reddit, ATT forums themself. And some steam forums and bascially the answer I got was “no answer at all” or “you can’t port foward for arma 3 with a ATT router because they do not support UPnP”

You take those numbers and names and replace them with the example shown in the video.

I don’t understand. You can’t port forward to a MAC address. If you have a second router what you should do is something called IP Passthrough.

Xbox can’t support 5Gbps, it’s only 1Gb. You need to port forward to change your “strict”ness

Triple check everything. Reboot the gateway and hopefully it works.
I made a custom service for my Plex server and it works for me.

You can’t port forward the same ports to two different Xbox’s. You can try enabling upnp and that’s about it

I’d love to help but I’m not even sure what that means. If the server is local to you try using the local ip instead of the wan ip.

It’s the same way, just different port numbers. Just keep repeating the steps until you have all the pets needed forwarded.

Best suggestion would be to reboot the BGW after making the changes. I find that sometimes it just won’t do it until it reboots
