I actually got to play (keyboards) a verse and a chorus of Rosanna with Toto during soundcheck in 2019. Greatest experience of my life.
Proud for you. I am jealous too
So that's so cool
I think I saw a video of that?
@@guitardude1981 it’s possible. I have a video on my channel and I discovered that someone from that show who was at the meet & greet recorded it and put it on their channel.
I was just thinking: damn I wanna audition for Toto
Still love the original ToTo with Bobby Kimball, Jeff, Steve, Mike, Luke and Paich!!
The soul of this song is Bobby Kimball's ooh-oohs and yeah-yeahs. Without raunch it doesn't really fly. One of my favourite songs ever.
1992 is really when they hit peak live performance of this song at Montreaux
yip
yes..correct
Agree, they were on fire for that show. My favorite version of I'll Be Over You is from that show.
46 YEAR " TOTO" fan! GEN X, 1965.
*RIP JEFF & MIKE PORCARO*
* WE MISS YOU BOBBY KIMBALL*
* WE MISS YOU STEVE PORCARO*
* WE MISS YOU DAVID PAICH*
What an incredible group of guys we love you toto
This band deserves to be in RnR Hall of Fame
Umm.. RnR Hall of Fame is a joke these days
@@josecarlosramolete6109 sadly it is.
That ‘92 Montreaux performance is so good and the sound is just killer!
It is.
even the video was crisp af
Swiss 🇨🇭 quality 😉
I agree 100% 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That performance is my favourite live music video ever recorded.
Man, I do miss Jeff and Mike. Irreplaceable. Great band, still, even today.
And David Hungate (Bass). I guess he split for Nashville.
Crazy how often a Song needs to be played for absolute perfection. Today toto is one of the best live Bands ever
Bobby Kimballs part was what made Rosanna stand out. They didn't win 6 Grammys during the Kimball era for nothing.
for mine, that 2013-18 period with joseph williams vocals, was next level
Like a fine wine, they aged to perfection, thanks guys and girls of Toto.
Man, how I miss the original lineup! Saw them at least 3 times. Twice as as opening act once as a headliner. They just sounded so good!
I got close to seeing the original line up in 2015.
I guess it means that as time goes on, this music gets better and better like fine wine. I completely agree
💯One of the best songs ever written. We did song on a cruise show some years back. The crowd went crazy. Timeless. Love it.
They're like wine. They're getting better as time goes by! Toto is still slayin'!
A Great Band From Day One , Amazing Group.of Musicians 🎸🎸
Of course they are. In the beginning, they were some of the best session players in LA.
Simply amazing! No more words needed. Fantastic! A journey along the four decades!
This was a fantastic retrospective video, well-done! Saw Luke in Vegas Jan 2023 for the Joe Satriani G4 Experience guitar camp. He was in great form, despite recent knee surgery. He totally kicked ass on guitar, and entertained us with his bawdy sense of humor. What an icon!
Just saw them last Friday with Journey and they were the tighter band of the two. Great show.
This is fantastic 📹 🎥 📻 📸
Toto was my Bestie's(not a word then) & I's go to early 80's thru mid-late 80's. When we loved the dudes & lost the dudes (on purpose or not). We were a force, just like TOTO! Reminds me of great times. The longevity & beauty of TOTO far surpassed ours. Always near & dear to my soul & story.
You rock Robi.
Perfect production.
Perfect mixage.
Perfect combination.
Just awsome!!!!!
The '92, '13, and '18 performances are ones I'm glad are on UA-cam since they're go-tos for me. I also like the unique interpretation they open with in the '07 concert.
Damn this was well edited! I just got back from seeing them live with Journey and though Kimball was great on the records, Williams just owns the stage.
Knoxville!!!
I agree! I was blown away and felt so surreal when they were performing this song! I can't believe my ears! To hear and watch them live, the best experience I've ever had! ❤️ 😊.
@@veedriver same here!
Nice job putting this together!
One of the greatest drum shuffles of all time.
Has its origins in Fool In The Rain
@@terryhancockroc6560 And also Bernard Purdie and Bo Diddley!
Insane musicianship...all around!
40 years. Wow. Unreal
The 2013 performance in Poland must be the greatest Toto concert ever!
While Bobby was great in his prime it's fantastic to see Joe still giving it his best
2013 for the win.
Perhaps my all time favourite song, but man, so I miss the horns in the live performances. Most of those synth hits just don’t do it justice. I loved the compilation though, really great job.,
Doesn't matter what year they are a highly polished act
100 percent Talent
Bobby Kimball WAS the signature voice of Toto IMHO!
That 2003 concert is probably Kimball's finest live performance. And also his last good performance. I saw them live with Joseph in 2015 and he was on fire. But it's also true he's like 15 years younger.
True!!
Thanks, that was more fun than I expected when I clicked :) And also fun to spot a couple of players over the years
La mejor música Excelente 🎶🎵🎸🥁👌
Que bien editado el vídeo.
Absoluely great video cut of this marvellous song. Fantasic ! THX Robi.
That singer in 2000 is awesome.
like a fine wine...
Dude!!! Robi!!! Editing on point!!! Fantastic!!! They just get better with time man. Great vid. Thank you!!!
Thank you! :)
I just want to be 8 again when I heard this for the first time. Being 50 is a bummer.
2:38 the most cleanest synth part ever 🎉
Well put together. I listen twice so far. I think I'm going one more round. Good job. ❤
Brilliant video! Have not seen this kind of evolution mix before. Really well done. Amazing that a group as talented as Toto took until 2003 to sound cohesive and great live.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure they sounded great live well before 2003. Maybe not on a UA-cam video footage that’s been stepped on and recompressed 10,000 times, which some of this clearly has.
Well, they're primarily session musicians and also they were pretty heavy on drugs in 80s and 90s so yeah.
1992 & 2013 🔥
So cool thru the years and still sounds great
The voice of Bobby Kimball are awesome!
Like a fine wine gets better with age
Great coverage of #toto through the years..
Nicely done. I'll take 1992 with Porcaro and the background vocalists, but 2018 is pretty nice as well.🙂
If you get a chance, watch the 2007 Paris version in full. The best in my opinion. Play it loud too!!!
I like it too, but Bobby's voice was heavily Auto tuned!
Very well put together!!
I like 2003 the best. Looks like live in Amsterdam? That's my favorite Toto concert. Their 25th anniversary tour.
I have that album and never realized how good Lukather and the band really were until I played it all the way through.
I was in the audience on Luke's side. One of the best and energetic concerts I've seen. Although personally I prefer Joseph Williams over Kimball.
Couldnt agree more
Yeah I got that album too! Really great to see Bobby Kimball in the line up. They sounded like original again!
1982-1992 are great especially Montreux. Luke's voice has aged very well and has got better since giving up smoking.
New unit is the best in years so fire 🔥
I closed my eyes. I just listened and it was one song from 1982 to present. Sounded same, Rossana Extended Version !
Great band, great song but his voice is shot. The performances with backing singers made a huge positive difference.
1992 and 2015 were the best performances, especially '92.
Muy buen video!!!!
Admirables admirables ❤❤❤❤. Excelente música que trasciende...❤❤❤❤
Best song ever❤
Great job! Thanks
Brilliant editing!!🎵
So fun !
Bonita canción y música 🎵🎶🎸🥁👍
Very nice cut, thanks much!
Great song in all performances, but Bobby Kimball brings this song to another level :)
❤amazing guys
So damn amazing
crazy good
Great video! They've covered it well with lots of personnel changes through the years.
Me imagino lo emocionante que debe ser ser Steve Luckater y ver este video...
Of course, after the great Jeff Porcaro, Simon Philips was the best musical/technical fit for TOTO, Snannon Forrest too. As for the rest of the drummers, I'll keep my opinion to myself🤘 Long Live Rock and Roll🤘💥
1992.. They had so much fun om that
2007.. Sounds cool
2013.. My favourite version
Ah ah excellent. 😃
Si si si muy buena rola ochentita de mis favoritas ,Rosana
From Toto…to Toro!!
nicely done
For me Bobby Kimball is the best singer (or was) for TOTO.
2003 the best!
2003 year was the best
Cool!
Love This song ❤️
Glad to see Bobby Kimball got back with them a few times.
Con los mejoran como un buen vino😊
....and they also haven't dropped the key even a half step down...
Just found a singer that can handle it LOL
that is pretty incredible when you think about it. Still hammering it out in the original key. Amazing.
They switched singers instead.
Yup great comment
That’s what I was skeptical of. 2000 clip sounds weird. Did OP speed up to keep all the clips in the same key?
I really like the 2002-2004 version for its extended solo and ending
Que música versátil. Instrumental maravilhoso.
Wow singing for toto then in The Mandalorian 20 years later
And Last of Us ;-)
great video man....congrats
Toto ist wie eine alte Geige .
Legendary 2003
esa banda si que con el pasar del tiempo como el vino SE VOLVIO MEJOR que impresionante lo que son y seran. UNA DE LAS BANDAS ICONOS DE LOS 80
I didn't know Jeff Foxworthy was the lead singer in 2010. 😂 (Yes, I know that was Joe Williams)
I was thinking the same thing!
I thought it was Horatio Caine off NCIS Miami
Great job!
