Introducing VerdeSeal™, a recyclable polyethylene based resealable material from Sealstrip.
Polyethylene is viewed as a long-term sustainable packaging film choice as its recycling streams are being actively developed, investments in waste management facilities and programs are increasing, and polyethylene re-use markets continue to grow. Utilizing recyclable polyethylene-based films, VerdeSeal meets the content requirements for store drop-off recycling programs.
The Peel&Seal material is applied to the outside of the packaging film and runs the length of the package. The material is thin and flexible and can be custom printed. This Peel&Seal package sample was made on a VFFS bagger using a packaging film with a peelable heat seal.
The package opening is unrestricted and allows full access to the product, making it easy to pour some out or reach inside. The user peels back the tape and parks it to the side. Even when a package has been torn Peel&Seal is an effective reseal.
As the user rolls the bag down, the air is squeezed out of the package, extending the freshness of the product inside. The compacted package size works well in the freezer, cabinet or for on the go snacking, and signals the consumer when it’s time to buy more.

Now let’s look at a FreshPak® recyclable package. The Award winning FreshPak Easy Open and Reseal feature has been enhanced with a TamperTear® tamper evident opening.

To use the FreshPak package, the consumer grasps the edge of the FreshPak tape and the side edge of the packaging film and pulls it apart, tearing through the TamperTear tamper evident feature. As you can see the package opens full width and allows full access to the product.
