    Excellent lesson. It took me years to start understanding how Hendrix worked his magic, but this lesson crystallized the whole concept for me now, all these years later. Brilliant instruction!

    The melodic fragment includes the piece of the chord, and the bass note is also part of the chord.

    The melodic fragments often consist of a suspended 4 chord resolving back to the 1.

    Wrong pickup combination and tone, Jimi didn't use two pickups at the same time, he was about ninety% neck pick up only, but the playing was fairly accurate.

      No such thing as a wrong tone, use what you enjoy. I thought it sounded great.
