ANTHONY, You go over the Hendrix first inversion and second inversion chords he used in the album Axis Bold as Love used a lot of chord embellishments for those inversion chords
For most of my lessons since 2016, I'm using a Kemper Profiler. And most of the time I'm using a profile from Tone Junkie. I can't remember which profile I used for this lesson, but probably a Fender Super Reverb, or Dual Showman.
Great lesson. Thinking of signing up to your lessons online. Do your lessons teach through from a blues novice to this? I've played lead and rhythm, but no idea about the 1,4,5 progression etc.
From a theory perspective, yes. I’ve got several courses that introduce really basic theory for blues. From a playing perspective my courses are not great for absolute beginners who just picked up the guitar.
@@Texasbluesalley Thanks for your reply. I can play SRV, Hendrix etc, just want to understand what I am playing to have a bit more freedom instead of being stuck playing exact replicas of tabs. 👍
@@ScottiStudios learning what a 1,4,5 progression is, 12-bar blues and how turnarounds work will help you massively. This will become clear using tutorials featured on this channel (and others) and by playing along with backing tracks. I learned these things about 2 years ago and i bought a looper pedal to practice these progressions and solo over it, absolute recommender
Sorry, your grid is confusing. The visuals are making this difficult. I appreciate the free stuff and maybe it's just not how I learn best. Thanks anyway.
It's 1st position SHAPE based. He's showing you the chord SHAPE in the 1st position, then where you should play the SHAPE, while highlighting the sections of the bar and hammer on/pull offs.

The visual way you show the chords layered over each other on the fretboard is really huge! Thanks for the content!
Bro , thank you for the camera angle . True genius.
Thank you very much, Anthony. I've watched this lesson about ten times so far and it's very helpful.
You're very welcome!
just one reason why Hendrix was a genius.
he copped that technique from Curtis Mayfield...
Another beautiful & simple(ish) technique to embellish my playing - absolutely lush. Thanks so much!
Perfect timing for my Friday eve, missing being apart of the locals. Hopefully I'll be back next month.
Boy, does that sound nice! This is going right into my ProPlayer queue (so much for sticking to one lesson and not hopping around so much!).
Excellent stuff. You are highly talented and a magnificent teacher. The best. ❤
Thanks brother. Another one for the books.
Great job!❤
Great stuff. Thanks 🙏
Got any more of these tricks?
Bro I am not playing this correctly and I still improved thx.
Amazing
awesome video, thanks man.
Very cool.
Awesome lesson. Been trying to figure that out for at least 40 years...😅
nice, thanks man
Yellow Ledbetter
Yes.
Amazing how Hendrix influenced so many bands many yrs later 🤯🤯🤯
*While we cry
*Yellow led better
*....?
@@Texasbluesalley I was going to say the same thing. Love this stuff.. Best wishes, thank you, and cheers.
First thought for those who don’t know better.

I wish everybody would show in same view as we see when playing
I’m curious… does your course offer tab as well?
I'll never stop being amazed by your SRV/Jimi-esque tone. What the hell do you do to achieve that "crisp clean" sound? I don't understand.

Sweet …
What is that software he is using? It looks like it's extremely helpful
That is a custom interactive fretboard app I built.
Wow, cool. Is it available at all?

That’s just yellow Ledbetter
His action looks crazy loose
