Thank you so much! I hope that future videos will be helpful for you as well and feel free to let me know if there is anything specific you want to know more about! :)
this style of graphics is perfect for horror games as it makes them actually scarier. i was thinking for a same project like this but for mobile devices. hope i would learn a lot from your videos ❤❤❤
Thanks, I agree I always found the retro style games more scary just because of the graphics :D I hope the videos will help out and I wish you the best of luck on your project as well!
Wow! Great job! I love the overall feel and atmosphere of the game. Im a big fan of ps1 style graphics, so i would love future episodes on the details of the process of making 3d models, textures, etc. good luck in your journey!
I'm designing a first-person roguelike inspired by this type of artistic style "PS1 lowpoly pixel style" and I really like what you did because it shares the same art style that I have in mind
This is actually so good, making my own PS1-like survival horror is the reason I’ve got into game dev - thanks for your tutorial videos as well they’ve really helped 👍
Lovit!🔥👏 I’m currently also working on my own game/prototype. It is a massive under taking to make and complete a game so I am currently looking at episodic episodes the way Sin and Half Life 2 episode 1-2 etc. released in smaller chunks so weeks/months of work, rather than years of relentless effort to get out the final full fledged game. I have been thinking about this a lot lately and I think as indie devs we should bring back the days of episodic content. It makes sense more in away, as you get feedback way earlier for example player feedback for episode one, was e.g. the “story uninteresting or slow-paced or the game play felt robotic/no game feel” etc… and for episode 2 you can “fix/change” those pain points from user feedback! But what do I know I am just an hopeful part-time indie dev with a dream in his heart! 😂💪
Thanks! That sounds awesome, I agree with you though, I miss some of the episodic content that used to be release, but then again I also miss the good old expansions and stuff you could get for games :D haha Best of luck to you and the game you are working on, it's a big undertaking and a lot of fun!
very nice video I'm also currently working on a small horror game to practice up on skills ill be keeping watch you seem to have a log of good knowledge!
Thank you! I made all the assets my self and there is no shader that is affecting them to any large scale. I have created a pixelation shader that is not set very high at the moment so it should not change to look to much, but helps with the aliasing look a bit :)
Thank you! Currently I am leaning against using Lumen, but I am trying to get a better idea of how performance heavy it would be. I would like the project to be easily playable on most specs :)
@@PixelPerfect_Dev when i was doing some personal projects it reduce the performance by a lot, and if you don't how to use it correctly (like me xd) you will get nasty light noise
@@chiwaka0357 Alright that is good to know, I have in general assumed Lumen would be pretty heavy so I have not looked in to it a lot. Might be better to leave it be then since I don't know how to use it properly either :D
@@PixelPerfect_Dev That would be awesome! You got me at the vertex snapping where you change the grid size, that looks awesome! full video how to achieve these would really help out.
@@PixelPerfect_Dev Gloriously wonderful! thank you, appreciated! Good luck with your game, very hyped to see how to be able to achieve all of the things and explained how to make it ^^

pixel perfect is the game dev channel i didn't know i needed
Thank you so much! I hope it will keep being interesting! :)

I plan on making a video going through a bit more on how to model and texture some assets so hopefully that will be helpful! :)
Dang, looking great already! Very promising approach to actually getting to the finish line. Cheering you on brother! 🎉
Thank you kindly! Hopefully structuring everything this way will help out!
Nice to see another swedish indie, lycka till!

@@PixelPerfect_Dev ur welcome, also, do u have a discord server?
if u want, i can make u one
Hey, I need help when it comes to unreal 5. you know a thing about making a 3rd person shooter?
Hi! I don’t have super much experience with it right now but what do you need help with and I’ll see if I can figure it out!
@@PixelPerfect_Dev You have discord account? I want to know how to make a level for my short horror game.
I don't have one of those yet unfortunately, but I will be sure to inform if I get Discord going forward!
Hi I'm planning to stay connected with u during this journey. I would love to know what tools you use during this whole process.
Hi and thanks! I hope you will enjoy it and feel free to let me know if there is anything in particular you want to know more about!
looks cool maybe add pixelation
Thank you! Yes I agree, there is a slight pixelation post process material active but I think it will need to be shown a bit better going forward.
@@PixelPerfect_Dev yea at the start i saw it less now i see it more in the video tho looks pretty cool :D
Discord?
I do not have that yet but it's definitely something I am looking in to getting :)
The story seems to be inspired from outlast.
Aha I should give the game a try then in that case! Only managed the first hour or so :D

Oh yea, another dime-a-dozen PS1 slow burn scp-inspired 15 minute long indie game.
Not 100% sure what the game will become specifically later down the line and unfortunately it's hard to make everyone happy with the result :)
Your in SWEDEN?? OMG I LOVE IKEA sorry
Haha who doesn’t love ikea :D
I’m sick and tired of ps1 graphics. Where are ps2 graphics?
Thats a good question, might be something to look in to later :D
