Excellent devlog! While I’m not entirely sure what the game’s concept entails, the video is captivating. It seems like it could potentially explore deep, philosophical themes or even take a meta approach but it is just late and I'm tired...
Not my kinda game from a gamer perspective, but as someone interested in development this is fantastic work. Aesthetic, Implementation, Systems, all great stuff. Looking forward to seeing more!
I like your thought process. When you started describing you upgrade system I just wanted you to say hello to a 10yo mods mechanic from a 2014 hit game Warframe (idk when it became a hit I just know that the game is insanely vast and deep, and is still actively developed and it's immaculate imho). Don't worry though, your upgrade system is more versatile with that interesting idea of putting the same mod on a different action like jump vs attack.
Cool stuff… since the flash light isn’t attached to the sprite, it’d be even more fitting to just have a floating droid companion.. like the pods from Nier: Automata 🤔 Then you could even give it more uses than just a light source if ya wanted to 🤷♂️
Looks promising, altough I don't see how you'll mix risk-of-rain-esque ability stacking with silent-hill-esque dark flashlight exploration. One requires an explosive, combat+movement-focused gameplay, the other something more subdued, where the gameplay is defined by your limitations.
Awesome! Good job! An idea for normal mode or hard mode is finding a one time use save discets. Have them be say red colored. They would enable even normal/hard mode players to use a situational quicksave but at the expense of the discete. Normal mode ones would be more common to find and the hard mode ones would be super rare. Or something simmilar. :D
looks aweome! I hope the assets made using AI generated source images get replaced somewhere down the line; it's pretty distracting in an otherwise hand-crafted experience
I have a TON of feedback! Would it be cool if we were to get into contact on Discord DMs? It's a bit long for a UA-cam comment, but I can't find anywhere but here and your itch comments to reach out
Pretty impressed with how its coming along so far
Man your UI design is fucking insane I love it
This is a great log, glad you got round to uploading it!
Keep em coming!

this is highly underrated, i cant wait to see how this will continue.
Don't know why but I really like how this guy makes games and videos
This game looks absolutley amazing. I wish you luck on the dev process and I cant wait for the future dev logs

that is actually a neat idea, consumable quicksaves for anywhere. maybe you could also burn them for health or buffs at save points?
@@dickbenis220 sort of like, in the world you find blank discetes and then at those checkpoints you make them into one of those types
I will follow you. Would be nice if you could cover how you implement systems in your games.
Hey bro, I love Horse Game 2. Just wanted to let you know.
Regarding Chapter 10 (16:55), I would like to suggest adding more feedback to the combat - like screen shakes, on damage taken animations and so on.
absolutely! all of that has been implemented and will be covered in future videos!
so hype tf
Ths looks sickk
Sweet

@@skew5386 yes! I talk about that in the next devlog. Im replacing all the AI assets with hand drawn artwork
@dickbenis220 fantastic! Looking forward to it!
@@dickbenis220I didn't catch that anything was, but it's great to see someone using the tech in a responsible manner :)
oh you're the horse game guy
Your image for putting modules on the character kinda looks... sus and lewd...
turning bad framerate into a feature to show power of a spell 😂
the worse the framerate, the stronger the build lmao
i want to implement pistol shooting with ik in godot 3d for my 2.5d game like yours but i don't know how to can you please help
I miss the old weird game bro 😭
Horse game is peak
i like the art style and creativity of it, reminds me of garn47

itch allows long form reviews in comments, so that would be fine. I also have a community chat on my patreon that is accessible freely
