These redstone mechanics are way to advanced for me
Im late as hell to this game.. but i totally agree. I didnt think this would be that hard to figure out. Its always when you're trying to do spmething very specific that causes a problem. Such as, i want just ONE generator to power my door (outside) and terminal (inside) but theres no option to drill a damn hole for a wire!!!!
I know this reply comes hella late, but check out the conduit section. you're looking for the one that says "wall pass through" the only difference between the 2 options is height. tbh idk why they have to go up and down instead of just one way but that's what mods are for i guess.
Well you don't know the difference between "to" and "too" either, so I'm not surprised.
Same😂
I didnt under stand this at all
6 years on and still able to help people re-learn/learn the basics of fallout 4.
I studied electricity/electronics for 3 years and still need to watch these kinds of videos to see how it works on fallout 4 😭😭😭
If you know how do you get makeshift batteries?
Dude, thank you so much. You made this so simple. I did not even know that you could connect generators and I figured there would be someone on UA-cam who is able to teach all the ins and outs of everything! I appreciate it!
dude all those wires arent health and safety approved!
OSHA?
It's fallout physics don't apply
power in this game pisses me off
K
I LOVE piper in folluota 4 aaa I love piper
Power pises me off

Damn this is the most complex power system I have seen in a game. Why is some of these switches even in the game like I just see no beneficial need for them. Good tutorial man, well explained.
This is really neat I hadn't realized there was that much potential in the power system. I cant actually think of anything useful to make out of this though :c I'm not creative enough
So clear ... I've watched about 10 videos on power in Fallout 4 and never properly understood it, but you have explained it in such an unfussy, logical way. Really great job!
8 years later still helping people
Amen to that.
What about lights on the ceiling? no one ever does vids on that and i always have a hard time with larger rooms powering multiple lights.
I managed to fix that, but tbh not really sure what I did, I can maybe try to make a vid about it lol. Oh I see now this comment was 3years ago hahaha
Its the same as a regular wall light
I only came here for this and the guy doesn't even both to show us lol
I just had a generator near it and it turned the fan on and lights
I guess each house needs its own power source? I wasted so much energy time and resources making a pylon network like the ones you see in alleys when separate generators are way easier 😆
this is the most informative power tutorial I've found so far. Counter was the only one I couldn't work out :/. Thanks for the great vid!
what can i use the power counter for???? I understand how it works, just don't understand the point of it.
Right!
Thank you so much! I was looking for a good quality lighting tutorial for Fallout 4 but couldn’t find a decent one. But you really explain everything and make sure we understand what you are saying! Thank you.
I love when videos are this informative withoyut taking up so much time with fluff. this guy nails it
I've seen a few videos you made it so simple thank you
Thank you! This really helped. You're granted an inch of height.
Thank you for explaining this is such a illustrative way. Now my 4 story castle has power!
So, the current offerings are surprisingly awesome, but what other devices do you think would be cool in Fallout? I'd kinda like an elevator myself :D
+SimplySarc Maybe some sort of makeshift monorail.
+SimplySarc When are you gonna make more minecraft videos?!
+SimplySarc Can you do a whole walk through of Fallout 4.
thank you so much for the video it was so informative and helpful! you sir just earned a like and a subscriber.
This is really helpful I never could understand how it works. Nobody else I could find describes this properly.
Can't wait to see you build innovative contraptions in Fallout. :)
Thank you so much for this! I finally figured out how to make a three-way switch for my powered doors now!
Was very informative, good work on explaning it all,
however there are a few questions i am still hoping you will make a follow up on this video,
things like the conduit ranges,
power management with the console.
looks like you have some room for further delving into the subject. I am looking forward to seeing further vids from you ;)
one of the best power tutorials i have found...
Great video! Super simple to follow this one.
I'm only 3 minutes into the video, but you already earned a new subscriber +1 👍🏽
I love how you explain everything in clear & concise details using real examples. I just started FallOut 4 and the hints pop-up told me to "build a generator for power" in Sanctuary, but didn't mention anything about connecting the power wires. This video should be in the actually game, it's very helpful, thsnks! 😎
Ur the only video i found that delivered the full idea to me. Thank you Dude❤️❤️
Thank you, explained exactly what I needed to know.
this would have been even better 3 days ago but I spent 2 hours lighting up a light bulb D:
Wake up
@@paddy650 good morning
@@addebbb did you ever get that light bulb working
@@paddy650 yeah I think so, I made a pretty cool base in the vault dlc
i guess I'm not a hardcore fallout guy because I'm still not understanding the point of the power counter
Being a "hardcore Fallout guy" has nothing to do with understanding the power counter.
@@Smorgasvord not my point i do not understand what the purpose of that device was. Its been 4 years so maybe you could explain it to me
@@ZZ-zu9nc the point is that understanding the purpose of one useless item in the game doesnt have anything to do with being a hardcore fan. 99% of people playing Fallout 4 have probably never even put that item to good use and Im sure alot of them would consider themselves hardcore fans.
probably useful for some people who like to make super complicated ball track creations. eg., every 2nd steel ball the drops on the plate gets diverted to another track etc
@@ZZ-zu9nc I love how you were just ready for that question after all these years.
I just got the game yesterday am been trynna do the whole setup settlement with power thing and it’s so annoying. You helped me a lot, thank you 🙏.
Perfectly made video, deserves more views!!
I’ve set up a control station inside a building with the Generator inside it too. I heavily used the wire glitch to wire through walls
Very informative and interesting video. It helped me a lot! Thank you very much! Have an amazing day! :D
Thank you for this. It helps a lot.
I learned a lot from this video ... thanks!
finaly i see how use power counter great TY
Awesome video! Thank you so much!
6 seconds in and I love this guy. Straight to the tips.
Great tutorial!
Now... this video is really helpfull for me, especialy since there are soo much options out there x3 Really helpfull for my own playthrough, and to help understand stuff a bit more, plus give me some idea's for nasty traps and who knows what ^w^
Very helpful video. Thanks 👍
I'm creating a digital clock that counts years down to the second but there's some complications but I believe I have figured it out. I'll release the design once I've finished.
I'm just trying to figure out how wall/ceiling lights work. Is it a range limit or a power consumption thing??
Bro thank you so much I’m new to the game so this helped me very much I’m only about 3.5 hours in and I had no clue how this worked but know I understand thanks so much
very nice video mate! helpfull info!
Is it possible to set up the pressure plate to where if you step on it once everything stays on but if you step on it again it all turns off?
How would i make my pressure plate turn on all lights in my base on entry and turn off on exit?
Bro that's just so simple, and I had no idea what to do
DIRECT TO THE POINT, instant like
Can you please make another video with the ADVANCED options such as the gateway devices .. and things like the powered speakers and how they can be user? Thank you
Is there any way to make a NAND gate?
So if i want to power all the rooms inside the house with the workbench in sanctuary, id have to put like 4 pylons on the roof to reach all of its rooms?
the intro changes every 2 episodes
+cookie crusher The last intro was made in... February? This one I started using in the last video.
Very helpful!
Even tho this video is super old
Still helped thanks alot
For some reason i feel as though mastering and making complex settlements are better than doing the main quest... WHY?! WHY AM I MORE INTERESTED IN THIS?!
Are there no simple logic gates (NOT, OR, AND, XOR)?
There are now. Not sure if it was an expansion or a patch.
This is awsome!
Thanks for the video it help alot
Very helpful thank
Thanks this helped allot
nice video!
I thought the power pylon also has an AoE effect, so that if you have a pylon next to the house it powers the house equipment
Thank you for your service
Thanks for this!
THX ITS REALY GOOD VIDEO
@SimplySarc mine is all hooked up but doesn't work, help
Bro thank you so much I didn't now how most people could make power through the wall 😂
This i the perfect summary. I don't know who you are but ily
Thanks that help great explanations
Amazing :D
Does a switch require a generator to work?
how do i use fusion generators
I here because i just wanna know how to power both the inside and outside of a building with just one generator. I hate needed a generator for my door and a generator inside for lights/terminals, ect. The more i try to do with this system and the nicer i try to make things look just complicates things even more so i get so aggravated. I never played minecraft. So i dont know how red stone works, which i hear is similar to this. I only briefly touched into basic game design so im not the best with the locic system.. in fact, the last time i messed with a logic syestem was building my own level in Timesplitters. Things like "kill this npc and this npc spawns in." Have no idea how that can apply to the workshop dlc in this game.. im really hoping this video helps me.
ilysm bro thanks
I bet you could somehow use the counter as a NOT gate. And build a computer!
Lol finally i found a guide. every time i try to make a power system the games kicks my ass and i end up making a giant circle.
What about getting power through a wall?
Bro….. THANK YOU!!!!
What’s the point of the counter??
Thank you, apprently I was too dumb to power up the radio station 😭
Thanks teacher :))
How about lights and TVs?
+AnalRectum simply put the devices that he showed you within the "radius" of the TV and lights. Each device gives of a specific radius of energy, energy that go's through the air itself, and you have to play around with the devices to find that out. Dont have to connect the actual wire to TV and lights, just get a light or TV close enough to the devise power radius and it will come on.
Bro thats so simple i had no idea how it worked tho
This guy would have made a good school teacher.
Thanks!
It just works
I used the wireless fuse box mod and now all my switches don’t work
I really don’t get the point of the counter switch.
He's Always Been Into Wires, Redstone, Command Blocks....
What about consle
To extend power, you obviously use repeaters
When you relate the logic tools to Redstone rather than just circuitry x.x
After Jespers video with the writing of the "Ugh... where's the minecraft vid" comment, sad to see its not here.
It literally won't let me connect my generator to my lights. This didn't help.
Use conduits
They didn't need make all this so complicated building things in this game is the only thing in it that actually makes me rage
Power in Fallout 4 is much easier said than done.
This whole power thing is basicly programming. Amazing.
This didn’t show me how to use a switch connected to a flamethrower trap that’s all I want to know
Seems pretty interesting, although I don't own the game and don't plan to buy it
either.
Lately, however I've got a feeling that a lot of minecraft youtubers have been
leaning towards uploading non-minecraft content.
Of course, they are entitled to do and play what they want, but it leaves me rather
unimpressed with the content most of the time and I'm also wondering about
their real motivations... Are they genuinly interested or is there something else to it?
+InsaneIncreaser Well, there's just so much of the same game that someone can take before craving something new
+InsaneIncreaser They are likely interested in the games they play, if someone plays a game for a long time they tend to get burned out from playing it, I don't play minecraft much anymore because I just didn't feel motivated to and that is likely what is happening for many youtubers.
Seriously? Okay, have some perspective; would you like to eat the same thing for every meal every day? Didn't think so.
+InsaneIncreaser I started making my minecraft videos because I had lots of ideas to share. This is pretty much the exact same reason with Fallout, I think there's lots of potential to be explored. Plus, Fallout is super fun! :D
