    Honda's are built to last forever. They are built to be tough, less maintenance, rugged and reliable even at the worst riding condition. Unlike the previous years, they are intentionally designed not to be more powerful than the others to reduce emissions for the sake of the environment. They are like Russian T-90 battle tanks, effective and robust. The other bikes are just fancy sophisticated with electronics, HP. but will easily break down and spend more time at the mechanics shop compared to Hondas.. Trust me, I know a lot better than any other reviewer because I owned and rode a lot of bikes and makes from 125 to liter bikes and Honda is the one I highly recommend for buyers to avoid a fucked up day. If you were upgrading from a smaller bike and want a bigger that you'll keep for a long time, consider the Honda CBR 1000RR. or just the CBR 600RR.

    Honda cbr1000rr is STILL a great bike for most riders BUT Honda can really build a sick bike if they wanted to and blow the competition out of the water.

    • @Fadic4
      @Fadic4 9 років тому +8

      To Honda, it's not worth the investment to make a track bike because they know it won't sell even though it would be better than anything else. If they made the stock cbr1000rr better handling and added more power the sales would go down because of how less friendly it would be.

      CycleCruza They just released theyre RC213V-S. 159hp in road form, 214hp with the racekit (for your info the 2015 S1000RR was tested at 212hp crank) for 140'000 Dollars. Honda doesnt do shit, even if they want it seems.

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza 9 років тому +2

      Schleberger Actually, in the US, the power on the RC213V-S is only 100 hp. lol AND you can't add the race kit in the US that will make the bike 215 hp, only in europe. So the $184,000 RC213V-S will be actually slower than my 2008 CBR600rr. lol Basically, it's just a model of a MotoGP bike for $184k. I'm going to give a thumbs down to Honda on the RC213V-S

      CycleCruza As Fadic said, it doesn't make monetary sense. Bikes don't make much money for the big 4, that is why it can take soooo long to get updates or new models.

    • @Fadic4
      @Fadic4 9 років тому +4

      "Its a GP bike for the street. You are paying for the privilege of owning what was previously unobtainium race tech for the consumer. 80% of the bike is identical to what they are currently racing in GP, even the frame, swing arm, most of the engine and suspension. Every piece on that bike is bespoke. Its pretty much your chance to own and ride "the real deal". Its kind of like owning a Ferrari, or owning a detuned Formula 1 car. The Ferrari is nice and all but the Formula car is the real forbidden fruit.
      Contrary to popular belief, the new R1 is nothing like the actual M1, it shares some trickle down tech in electronics but the components are not even close. This bike however is very damn close in its parts to the actual RCV213. MotoGP is prototype racing so this is a rare chance to own a piece of kit HRC races on Sunday."

    MotoGP is being dominated by Honda and a good rework of the exhaust of the 1000rr and with it's weight will give anybody more then they desired when push comes to shove. Hands down, the MOST reliable bike on the market and on city streets and highways it is more than enough bike. It far more nimble then anything else out there and that makes more fun. Had a zx-14 before this one. Boring straight line dragger/cruiser that was a real pig to flick. Take the CBR over and over and over again.

    A few points about the Honda:
    1.) I feel like taking off that huge cat, and putting a good pipe on, air filter, fuel controller and a dyno tune will bring back that top end power you want while reducing the weight significantly.
    2.) 95% of riders who buy one will never take it to a track, and the CBR makes a better street-bike than most.
    3.) Those welds on the swing-arm are dead sexy.
    4.) The HRC red white and blue colorway is much nicer. Marquez is a weasel, I'd rather it look like John McGuinness's bike.
    5,) "Merica!!

      They need to do these shootouts to sell advertising. It's basically meaningless in the end. They're all unbelievably fantastic bikes. Just get whichever bike you like the best.

    I loved my 13' 1000RR before I wrecked it, but I can't deny that the other competition has something a bit more special than the blade SP. But I hear that the zx10r is heavy steering from another review, and unless the handling can be close to the cbr, I'd take handling and useability of power over heavy steering and blinding top end speed any day.

    3:48 Where the side and lower fairing meet, it's disconnected, flapping in the wind. I had to Zip tie my fairing to keep it from doing that (2008 with 2012 fairing conversion). Come on Honda, Seriously? A brand new bike, and the fairings come apart from riding it? If they don't come out with something amazing next year, I'm moving on. It's an 8 year old machine now, still good, but there is no excuse at this point.

      I understand this bike to a Senior TT bike has many differences. But I'm sure the basics are there. Plus people just see badges on bike's so if they see a Honda winning the big Senior TT race, it’s a great bike. If they see Kawasaki win the WSB it's a great bike. I'm sure some people may see Yamaha win the Moto GP title this year and decide they are the best bike manufacture out there. Me personally I ride bikes which I actually love to ride, some people ride bikes just to say they are on the best bike at the time. I just like how road bikes can be transformed into such amazing machines to partner with such talented riders

      we can't even buy the 600RR in my country, only CBR 300/500/1000.
      ever heard of the word design language ? i dont mean to come up negative and all, but i think a CBR lineup should look a like, else they might just create a new name for the bike like the cbr300R (which finally looks like a cbr again). even my tiny CBR125R 2008 looked more than a cbr than the 250r (vfr looks).

      TrueDesireHD It benefits beginner bikes because now they look like 600s. But on the same topic, now 1000s look like 300s lol
      The ZX10R and Ninja 300 are easy to tell apart, mostly from that center intake between the headlights. But even that is enough to tell that they are two very different bikes.
