Once you get a routine down, like cleaning yourself up in the morning and dressing neatly, it becomes a habit. That's a very positive and uplifting habit to have.

Wonderful video. I wear dresses daily. I have a "daily dress" for around the house and in the yard. I wear other more formal dresses when going out. It makes me feel feminine, beautiful, and confident. When I was younger I used to say I would never wear dresses, now I don’t even own a pair of jeans. 😅

Growing up my mom always got up before us and got herself ready for the day. I was never embarrassed by her when we went anywhere because she was always a class act. I decided back then when I had children I’d do the same. I have 4 children now and I always get up, get myself ready for the day, choose cute yet classy clothes and hair/makeup styles. Not only is this important for us, but it’s important for our children to see too.

I am trying to be more intentional with this at home. I have three 2½ and under (set of twins) and what works for me is to put them in their highchairs with a quick pre-brekfast snack (bananas) and then I can wash my face and apply makeup really quick. The bathroom is right next to the kitchen of our small home so I know exactly what's going on.
Another thing is if I have somewhere to be, I'll lay out my clothes the night before. Growing up my dad made that a Saturday night requirement so we weren't late for church 😂
Really enjoying your videos! Glad UA-cam suggested your channel 😊

I have always loved doing my makeup. It's been my me time, my creative expression, my fun experiment etc. Even though I have a barely there look (blush, mascara under eye concealer) 90% of the time, it still makes me feel put together. When my son was born I had a long stretch of time where I didn't do my makeup, hair or put any thought into what I wore each day, and I was so depressed. No one around me cared at all that I hadn't gotten ready, and it really solidified for me that "getting ready" was something I get to do for myself. Showing up for the people in our lives matters, showing up for ourselves matters too.

I’m a stay at home (homeschooling) mom of four. I’ve always made it a priority to get ready in the morning. I keep my makeup bag and portable mirror in a cabinet in my kitchen. I wash my face and apply lotion in my bathroom right after I wake up. I put my makeup on in the kitchen while my kids eat. When my kids were younger, I would fix my hair in the powder room bathroom near the living room (where they were playing). I also get dressed everyday. I dress to look neat while also being comfortable enough to chase kids, and clean our house. I like getting ready in the morning so I’m ready for whatever may come. If we decide to go out, I’m ready! If someone stops by, I’m not embarrassed. Once you get into a routine, it doesn’t take a lot of time. Thanks for the video! 💕

It is very important. Your children are watching you and how you handle yourself will reflect on them as well. Nothing expensive, clean clothes, and feeling refreshed (light makeup, brushed, braided hair, etc) says "I care" and it is so easy to do. Give it a try for a couple of weeks and it will become a habit. Just try it.

Absolutely!!! Although all my children are grown and gone, I work from home and this resonates with me. I am embarrassed to admit that I have sat down at my computer in my PJs and by noon STILL in my PJs…..also, when I get ready and put some makeup on, I am SOOOOO much more productive and I feel pretty!

Yes it’s amazing how taking just 3 minutes to put on a little makeup, perfume and an outfit I feel good in - makes my entire day go so much better. I feel motivated and productive and more likely to stick to the routines that keep the ship afloat. It’s like a shot of energy and confidence! We all know how a morning coffee or tea perks us up but it has nothing on feeling put-together for the day.

So funny that I’m watching this right now because something that I’ve wanted to change is the pajamas that I wear. I feel like I already have a good routine of looking put-together and confident when I’m getting ready for the day. But my pajama wardrobe is filled with old ratty t-shirts and shorts/pants where the elastic has weakened over the years and it just feels sloppy. I’m not one to spend a lot of money on new clothes. (For the past year, my regular wardrobe has all been thrifted.) But I decided recently that investing in a few cute and cozy pajama sets will help me feel a little more “me” in the mornings and evenings and a little less “raggedy Anne.” Also, I’ve been wanting to dive back into making more “morning routine” videos so this will make me feel a little more confident on camera. I literally clicked on this video right after making the pajama purchase online! Haha! ❤

I have an almost 9 month old, and this has been something I have to intentionally prioritize daily or it just doesnt happen. What ive found is necessary for me to feel productice and good throughout the day is to always start with making my bed, a shower if possible, and bare minimum my tinted spf, brow gel and bronzer. My hair usually ends up in a ponytail, but as long as ive done something with it I feel good. Ive accepted I wear some form of loungewear everyday, so ive invested in good quality, monochromatic pieces. I do try to take advantage of any errands to dress up a little more. I miss the days of leisurely morning routines and pampering sessions, but you learn to adapt and stick to the necessities. Even the smallest effort really does make a difference in how i feel that day. Love your real and honest take on this!

What I love most about your message here is the PRACTICALITY!!!! Ive known this idea to be true but I'm not in the habit yet ! Ive watched other videos and lovely gals talk about this and I love it but I too live a work outside and getting dirty kind of country life!! So I forget that I should still pu put in a few minutes to feel my hair face and clothes are put together even if my clothes have stains and I'm wearing work boots to go work in the garden with mud covered kids! Thanks for this!!!!!! Love your videos!!

Thank you for your channel and content. I’ve really been enjoying it! I’m a mother of 3 small boys and I couldn’t agree more. I used to just wear leggings and hoodies every single day and I would be embarrassed when I went out and I have made it a point the last year to actually wear cute outfits and put on some makeup and do my hair a little. It really does make a difference, also that way if I have somewhere to go that day or night; I’m already pretty much ready, church or out with friends. I just feel better all day because I know I’m ready wherever I need to be or whoever I see. Keep up the great videos. Thank you!

I don't have children yet and never realized how difficult it could be to even take a shower while you're alone with them 😅 But I like your advice and energy for the time it will come - living it with peace and a kind of agreement we don't see so often in our generation, especially on UA-cam. I also like seeing the images of nature you share around your house / farm, such a beautiful part of US and enjoyable for the family life 😊

Thanks for this! I love your approach to this topic. You make this feel very simple and attainable. It's in the little details, and not something that has to be super difficult to achieve. I've watched some channels where I end up feeling so defeated because I'm not wearing pretty dresses and a full face of makeup. But I like how you said to wear what makes you feel confident, it doesn't have to look the same as others.
For me, it's just washing my face, brushing my teeth, deodorant, spraying my face with rose water, a little blush and tinted chap stick and popping in some earrings. I usually just wear some comfortable pants/shorts and a feminine shirt, and this is what works for me in this season. But you are so right, it makes such a difference! Your description of feeling frumpy at the grocery store was all too relatable. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels that way when I go out un-put-together.

Love this! Taking care of yourself is not just about vanity, it’s self care & setting an example for your kids AND helps for later when you’re getting kids ready for school they’ll already know how to pick an outfit the night before, brush teeth, do hair, maybe do some yoga before going to school. Especially if you plan to go back to work after maternity leave!!!😊
I work out of the home but have 1 & 6 year old daughters & a puppy, so our mornings are a bit crazy. Setting out clothes the night before together can be fun as we check the weather & discuss tomorrow’s schedule. I even prep the baby’s diaper with powder as part of her outfit. This morning we got all the way to daycare then realized she want wearing a diaper! 😂 she took her shoe & sock off on the way there too. But hey, half the fun is in the mishaps.
God bless you & you family!

This is such a beautiful message. ❤ I have always loved getting ready everyday with makeup and a nice outfit because it helps me feel more put together and ready to take on the day. Now after my first pregnancy and with taking care of my very active one year old as a stay at home mom, it has been very hard setting aside time everyday to do so. I have been trying to get back into my rhythm of doing that and I have definitely noticed a difference mentally and spiritually more so now being a mom.

Why push this? It can be important to YOU and you can observe how it sets the tone for YOUR day without projecting it onto all women and try to convince them of YOUR value. It's equally important data to know what doesn't serve you. Ladies, if what you are already doing IS working for you, it ain't broke and doesn't need to be fixed. Don't put something arbitrary on yourself.
