CREATING A MORE MINIMAL HOME -what I’ve learned the last five years in my journey toward minimalism

- While I am no perfect minimalist and don’t feel I have at all earned that admireable title yet, I have been on a journey toward more minimal living for sometime.
In today’s video I am sharing what I’ve found helpful so far with creating a less cluttered and more productive, peaceful home environment, especially as a mom of two, expecting the third in a couple months.

Sarah, I recently found your channel and because of you I’ve found myself reading my Bible more and putting it at the top of my to do list instead of at the bottom! I would also consider myself minimal. It does get difficult living in a studio with my husband and toddler but as a minimalist, it’s not impossible and much easier than it would be for the average person. Can I ask how old you are? I’m 26 and a sahm :)

Dear Sara, I loved when you said to truly question ourselves before we think we need a bigger house or more storage...
It was so much harder for me when we lived in a bigger house... I felt so much anxiety when I just couldn't keep up with the cleaning, let alone the amount of stuff!!
I can imagine!:) I honestly don’t ever want to live in too big a house for that exact reason!:) ❤️
We recently moved into a bigger house (we really did need to - three kids and a dog in a tiny two bed) and I was sooo excited about the space and honestly, it's just hard work! I miss our tiny house so much!

I love how much I can relate to your channel, but at the same time get so much encouragement and inspiration. I am also a stay at home mom, and wife ...and I love it and I'm so thankful. This is what I always dreamed and prayed for. I have 2 little toddlers and pregnant with the third! I don't have many close people around me in this stage of life so I love "sharing" and relating to women on UA-cam. Especially ones like you that enjoy simple living, homemaking, and providing a natural healthy lifestyle for my family. Even though I'm surrounded by wonderful people and love, relating to women on UA-cam in similar stages makes me not feel as alone in my stage in life. :)

PLEASE make a video ALL about your gardening tips and how-to's!! I would love to have a garden to store food for winter and have healthy food for my family, but I hardly know anything at all about gardening. It is so intimidating wanting to start because I don't want to waste so much time and money on a garden that is just going to fail. I have two little ones and will have a third soon, so that makes it all the more intimidating!
Thank you for this idea. We are actually moving in January to a new piece of property. I am so excited to have a garden there as well, although it will be started completely from scratch, so I have been thinking it would be fun to document the process from the beginning next year:)
Can you share what you do for kids birthdays or holidays? We try to keep gifts at a minimum or more meaningful and are intentional about gift giving. But it’s what everyone else gives that is the problem 😬

I love your idea of buying leggings for yor toddler that are not patterned and can go with anything. My daughter is 3 and a half and likes to dress herself too, so this is helpful to keep everyone happy.

Thank you so much!:) it is going really well. Thus far I haven’t missed a day, although I have hit snooze once a couple mornings. I am LOVING it though! I feel so far ahead before my kids are even up. It’s a huge blessing!
