I too have used Daz a while and just started playing with blender. Once you learn this and get good at it then the door opens for unlimited creating such as character morphs from scratch and selling them! Thanks for this informative tutorial!
I agree! I'm hoping to become at least proficient with Blender. I want to revert back to Daz Studio where I feel comfortable, but I know Blender offers a lot of opportunity!
Thanks for the tutorial! If you're working with an already morphed figure, leaving the settings in Morph Loader Pro as they are might mess up the whole morph when imported and applied. When in Morph Loader Pro, import your morph, expand the item's details and set: - Reverse Deformations: Yes - Overwrite existing: Deltas only Then you can save your preset if you want to. I could only make my morph work with these settings.
thanks so much! I have no idea what any of this means or actually does, but following your steps worked whereas just doing what the video says above caused the morph to make everything blocky and chunky. Including these steps was important for it to import properly
Another great tutorial. In Blender, you can save "Blender Morph" files path as a bookmark too. Holding shift plus the middle mouse bottom to move the camera without clicking in the hand, and the middle mouse to rotate the camera.
Nice, so far all I did in blender is the donut tutorial but I had a hard time understanding the node system. Its good that you can shape Daz 3d object without the need to learn blender node system.
@@notfromthisworld7672 I have learned more from Grant Abitt's videos and courses than the infamous Donut tutorial. And he released a good Blender animation course recently.
Sir, that was really fascinating and it motivates me to work with Blender again. In 2015 I already worked with version 2.71 and then came to DAZ because it allowed me to get results much faster. Blender is an incredibly powerful tool, you have to be careful not to get bogged down. Thank you for this great tutorial... 👌👍😎
Yeah, just subbed, after seeing this tutorial for morphs. I was about to go with clo 3D until I found this. I was just looking for something to make clothing since I have been using GIMP for textures. Now I am hearing about morphs. May actually be able to revive that anthromorphic character I had on Graffiti Kingdom(PS2) years ago.
Bro your videos kick. I think I subscribed two, three days ago, and have learned a ton. You have great teaching style that's easy to understand and follow. Hope you hit your grand soon. Have a blessed New year and PLH. (Peace, love, and happiness)
Thank you so much for the message... I'm glad to hear people like my style. My goal is to just make things as simple as possible! Working toward that grand... 20 to go!
Pretty sure blender is on 4.0.2 now. If you’re going to start rendering in blender I’d recommend updating as they have some new tweaks that really improve the look. Oh and the obj import has been fixed so it’s just obj import now. Makes things more simple
Yep! You are correct. This is why making technology videos is forever changing! They released the Blender update about 2 days after I made my video... I'm not sure if there is a lot of differences between the two versions, but thanks for letting everyone know that it's good using the obj.
yeah, none of this works on the new blender version. sculpt mode is super blocky and none of the geometry import settings are there when importing to blender. tried many ways and daz fails to re-import saying "Warning: Geometry did not match, failed to create morph."
That is very disappointing to hear. I've been so busy I haven't updated Blender, but I knew they had a newer update but i haven't worked with it. Is it possible to revert back to this version? The technique worked great.
actually I've been at it for about 3 hours now trying the same version of blender you used and no luck at all. maybe it's a gen9 problem??@@notfromthisworld7672
I understand. Unfortunately I think Blender updated and my tutorial may not work with the new Blender version... Ugh!!! I hate it as well. I need to sit down and go through Blender more than I do... It's a cool program that I am definitely a novice at.

Excellent!
Glad you liked it!

Thanks for the info! I stink at the Keyboard shortcuts, but I'll add your suggestions to my cheat sheet!
Excellent vid, this should be good for adding pressure morphs.
Absolutely! You should also be able to ad two figures into Blender to create those types of poses.

I am also working through the infamous donut tutorials... What I really want to do in Blender is animation... One step at a time I guess!

Thanks! I'm trying to keep things simple. Blender is crazy complicated and hard to understand for a lot of people.

4.0 doesn't work for morphs
Can you do this method as an alternate way to convert a Gen 3 morph into a Gen 8 morph?
Can I morph from one skin to another? like regular skin to a stone skin texture
I'm not sure how to do that in Blender, but I know you could transfer the skin in Daz Studio itself.
@@notfromthisworld7672 thank you so much for your reply😌 I’ll figure something out lol
