Geometry Did Not Match. Failed To create Morph. All other tutorials yield same result. Does this only work with default G8 model? I've got a character with a bunch of morph sliders engaged.
Even if you actually don't change anything with the morph file and just import it back with no changes or change something with the head, the whole figure seems to become smaller. This is most evident especially in the mouth where there's suddenly a gap between the lips. Is there a way to fix this?
Kenny, thanks so much for creating this video. I had been using Zbrush to create my morphs, but GoZ isn't working (Daz to Zbrush). So, this has helped a lot.
what if you accidentally don't start by turning on x-axis mirror and then you do for the rest of the sculpt? I just tried and it wasn't working. does it have to be on from the get go or am I glitching? ty bless.
Not the way you are thinking. The mesh has to be exactly the same. Exactly. So no. There are techniques and software you can use to wrap the daz mesh around your model. You could line your head to the daz and sculpt as best a match as possible.
@@KennyFleccher oh alright, i was asking bc i saw some ppl using characters from tlou or resident evil to make renders so i thought it would be easy lol but thanks
I think they take the game mesh and wrap the daz model around it. There is this Russian 3d wrap software that does I don't recall the name. The new mesh to metahuman feature is basically what they do. Look at that fea. You import your model and it wraps the metahuman around your model best it can.
I'm trying to follow this tutorial and another, but both of you have import options in blender I do not see. I'm using Blender 3.4. I don't get it. What am I supposed to do? When I import Genesis 8 and go to sculpt tab, she's not smooth, she's blocky (only in sculpt mode--smooth otherwise), AND the figure is on her back. I did everything exactly as I should have when exporting TO blender... but any ideas what maybe went wrong? More importantly, maybe, is when I import my morph into DAZ studio and dial it in, my ENTIRE FIGURE squishes itself and seemingly turns inside out! How am I supposed to make sure all my settings are correct when Blender isn't giving me the options? The only thing I could actually set was which direction was up and which was forward.
I can't see what is going on. The best thing I can say make sure you follow carefully. A missing step could cause the issue. It has worked for many others. Restart, restet your blender to factory settings. You have to make sure the mesh has the same points or it won't eork. Sime people get it first thing others longer. Don't give up. use the same version of blender which ever version.
That's great, man! Do you know if it's possible to export from DAZ to Nomad Sculpt in a direct way so you can sculpt in the app? I've been trying to do it, but the app just shuts down every time. Hope you could give some help. Thank you
heyy does this can be done with cc4 exported model on daz ? if no does this default model after creating the morph can be exported to unity / unreal for character customization system ?
Check out an updated video here: ua-cam.com/video/y-NmZQ3P_P4/v-deo.html

when trying to apply my morph... things get crazy, im not sure why as ive followed your whole tutorial
Which genesis figure you using?
Does this work too with figures that already have morphs?
Not sure. You might want to check out the updated video. That may help have an answer
thank you. This is a great video. I failed in another tutorial, but it worked if I followed this video.
You are very welcome.

Awesome
Use the poser scale import and use 10,000
Very good!

Really?
@@KennyFleccher I sent you an Intagram message too. Please check out my work there. I’m sure we have a lot to discuss. 😊

Not sure. I would follow to a T.
can i merge a 3d head i made myself with the daz model and import it again?

can i use the to bring blender model shapes into daz?
Not in the way you are thinking
Why delete the eyelashes?
It's not needed
How far can I go with this? Can I add small thirdiary details or add extra arms or eyes?
No
@@KennyFleccher so if I add extra vertice, segment, or edge; that extra data will not transfer back to Daz3D?
Itll ransfer but it will screw up. So you can't remove or add vertices
@@KennyFleccher insightful, thanks for your feedback
nice
this not working on Genesis 8.1 female
Use 8. 8.1 is a little different.
@@KennyFleccher what is the difference? i need expression for 8.1!!!
I would check the Daz forums. Not that experienced with 8.1.
@@KennyFleccher I'm also interested in 8.1, and now that the new blender is out it could be time for an update of this amazing tutorial? :)
Ok I'll look into it. Super busy at work
